The place was nice, good people work there. The otters are amazing like I legit wanted to grab one and run. But the one where they showed the seals was bad. She wasn’t talking loud enough and the only thing I understood was how to kidnap a Seal (cover his eyes, moth with a blanket and yoink him). But yeah, I received lots of kicks from people behind me (i wanted to send them to oblivion) so the experience for me was good and bad. Like I mean the dude behind me was calling someone on his phone while the exposition for the seals is going on, that’s insane. Some People are too loud. But I loved the place

(Translated by Google) Since the corona it's really not worth going anymore, the beginning, where you walked in and already had aquariums, that's closed, so you can't walk there, you have to follow the arrows and you can't even turn and that made sure that we did the tour 4 times, the shows can still continue, in boudewijnpark they also continue, it is best that I had bought tickets online for 10 euros and this was finally too much for what you could see. Certainly not recommended anymore.

Not worth the money. Small place, too high entrance price. Quite a disappointment if compared with similar places elsewhere in Europe. Went through all in less than an hour. In whole place we found just one shark and dead turtle. Not what the advertisement says :D

Parkplätze waren genug vorhanden. Eintrittspreise waren schon Recht happig.

Echt super! Macht weiter so!

Small, but nice. They have closed the eatry, the outside climbing area, and the seating for the sealion show/feeding (though, they have a few chairs for handicap or pregnant women open) due to corona virus regulations. My children liked the educational aspect and really enjoyed seeing the rescued (and soon to return to wild) baby sealions. Other hits were the otters and the under water tunel with the sea turtle.. as well as the outdoor playground.

I had the pleasure of visiting Sea Life before the pandemic and all its restrictions. Going back to Sea Life with the Covid-19 rules in effect was about of a letdown. I understand the need to keep certain areas closed, but we paid €90 for 6 people and we were outside after 60 minutes. Ok, the kids liked it, but I think they charge too much for what you get.

I used to come here as a kid with school and don't remember it being this small. It had been years since I last was here and I have to say I was baffled to see how small all these animals have to live. It does comfort me to know a lot of these animals are here temporarily but the penguin's just looked exhausted. I wish I had kept my memories of this place as a last thought. I loved this place as a kid, so in a way, kids will love it! But seeing now what I didn't notice then made me feel real bad for those animals. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fluent in various languages so that's still a big plus. If you do decide to come here I advise you plan more stuff that day because you'll pass through this quite fast.

An interesting place for kids. We happened to just walk-in here.Does not seem to be very well known in the area. The seal show was fun though the sitting area was not very spacious.Overall the area was well managed.

Relatively interesting place to visit. Best part for us was the seal hospital, where they explained how seals arrive there and what we can do to help. Presentations of different animals on not so great level - girl just reading everything from the papers and seemed that it was her first day to do them. Small playground for kids on inner part of the place. Aquarium tunnel very short, but there was a shark.

It is a nice aquarium in the city of Blankenberge. There are some animals to visit. If you visit Sealife you have to visit the feedings - only in that case it is worth the money. But you get pretty nice picture there.

It was just ok. Quite small, and a very limited collection. Not worth its price, I will say you can go there one time. Price could be a little less.

Nice place with a two(+) year old kid. Was fascinated by the fishes and other maritime animals. Please be careful when parking, got a fine when parking outside at the Main Street.

Great place. Was quiet. I'm giving this 5 stars as the guide offering the talks was very talented. Even though we were the only English family at the attraction that day, he made the effort to offer the talks in English too. Fantastic service

A fantastic place to visit for all the family. Demonstrations and talks throughout the day. Friendly staff although the girls on the welcome desk could have been a little more attentive and welcoming. No cafe, only snacks and vending machine drinks available so do take your own picnic. Certainly not big enough to spend all day here but the beach is within walking distance so well worth visiting that too.

Cosy aquatic adventure. Great fun for our 2-4 year olds.

  • 3/5 Greg C. 4 years ago on Google
It's smaller than we expected. Decent enough variety of tanks and fish but it does feel like this place is in dire need of renovation but they're doing their best to delay any such expenditure as long as they can. Nice staff, our kid (3yo) enjoyed it and it was the best place to go when it was raining. I seriously question the logic behind Management's lack of signage for the queues though. Seriously people. Make 2 lanes out to the entry;. One for pre purchased tickets and the other for the ticket office.

A bit small but it was a good experience. They have a fine variety of sea creatures. Seals are very cute. Sealife does a good job at taking care of them. It's also nice of Sealife to accept fishes as well as other species from people who bought them but didn't foresee the size of the creatures when they grow. It may take you 1 to 1.5 hours to see everything. In general, it's a nice place to pay a visit.

  • 3/5 Peter F. 3 years ago on Google

However, the welcome was perfect, in almost no accent French, and the souvenir shop is really very affordable when compared to other parks. Small, crowded. And that's on a Thursday afternoon in April. A bit of a waste of time and money. I mean, I get it, there is nothing else to do on a bad weather day if you you are staying in this area. But this place was way to expensive and too small. We were finished within 1.5 hour. And that is even without running, but just walking around slowly, reading and doing the quest with our 6 years old. I've been to many aquariums allover the world and this one was way too dissappointing. There were two primary school classes on a school visit and that almost filled the whole place completely. I can't imagine how terribly crowded it must be in the summer.

(Translated by Google) Personally, I always find the Sealife Center a bit more expensive, because you can actually get through in a very short time. On the other hand, it's always great. In times of Corona you had to pre-order the tickets for a certain time slot. So you got another discount. The tickets were then valid for the whole day. The tickets could be taken digitally on the smartphone. I would have liked PayPal as a payment method. In terms of the time window, we hit it optimally. So we could see the feeding of the otters, the penguins and the seals / lions. The seahorse aquariums with pregnant seahorses and babies are always great here in Blankenberge.

Very kind and passionate team supporting diverse conservation initiatives from seal to fish. It's more than just a park, they are true animal lover. With a lot of infrastructures for kids(games and educational video) it's ideal for the family. You can also watch caretaker feed otters, sealion and humboldt's penguin. Beautiful place where you will be able to see anything from seahorses, to sea lions. Some of the locations were a bit disappointing either because animals could not be seen (but this is understandable) but also because animals feel a bit cramped sometimes. (Translated by Google) It had been a long time since we had been again. Even now with corona measures, it was super afternoon. The children (6 and 8) really liked it. Great mountain trail at the start of the visit. Timed just right of us to see the otters feeding time. They also loved the virtual aquarium, who doesn't like to see his self-colored octopus or seahorse swimming around among the other fish. Admission is a bit on the more expensive side, but with the idea "we do it for the animals" this softens the cost a bit.

Our family of three enjoyed our visit. We happened to come in time for the feeding sessions at the outdoor enclosures, and the guided tour/talks turned out to be the highlight. We came here mainly for our three-year-old, but as adults we were really engaged by the content of the tour. The guide/presenter was very good and gave us new insights into the state of our coastal environment. Would definitely recommend attending the feeding sessions as part of your visit. (Do note this is really an animal sanctuary/hospital and not an aquarium/“theme park” in the conventional sense. In our view the tickets were worth it knowing we were supporting their work.)

Really grateful that there is a sea lion hospital taking care of the wounded and sick creatures. If you see one on the beach, keep your distance always! They are there to rest after a long long swim. They do not like humans. If you see that they are hurt, contact Sea Life. Please help if needed! Donations are always welcome. They do not receive subsidiaries from the state. Beautiful place to admire all sorts of sea creatures. Loved it! Very child friendly! Great stuff! Passionate and kind.

First when we arrived we had to wait at least 20 minuites to enter the place, I mean I've read the reviews of the place and new that they had a bit of "waiting in line to enter" issue but I thought the other reviews were just full of exaggerating people but sadly not, now 20 minuites may not sound that bad but add in an annoying 6 year old and no shade, well that made it feel like eternity but once we finally got in it felt worth it, now some people might say that sea life blankenberge is too small for the price but I disagree it's big if you don't go rushing into it AND ACTUALLY READ SOME OF THE FISPLAYS then it takes quite a while to be out of the place and if you add on a seal/sea lion/turtle feeding/etc and the new (but in my opinion kinda small JURRASIC SEA I mean come give those pleisiasours and megalodons some more space) jurrasic seas exhibit then you can spend a good 4 and a half hours there and those will be some great 4 and a half hours, trust me.

Too small and too many people. Very long waiting line before entering the parc. Shows are poorly. Ok to do 1time but try to get your ticket online (f.e. Vavabid) so you don't have to pay the full price.

40€ for a grown-up and a 4yr old for a couple of sealions, penguins, 1 big shark (the rest are small ones like catsharks) a few interesting fish. A lot of signs missing so trying to find out what kind of fish you are looking at, is hard. It is nice but for 40€ I expected something different.... Very disapointed! :(

To be honest I was a bit disappointed. The park is much smaller than expected. Now, if you think of it as a seal clinic in the first place, they accomplish miracles. And the amusement comes second. And we did learn a ton too.

I'm disappointed! We had higher expectations... It took us like 30-40 minutes to see everything because it was a bug rush and everyone was pushing us. There weren't many people but the attractions are so inconvenient that there were always queues. A big NO from me!

A fun few hours to be had. Recommend getting there in the morning in time for feeding of the otters and penguins and the talk and medical check ups of the seals/sea-lions to make the most of the entrance price. Not a massive collection to be seen, but plenty to interest younger children. The aerial walkway was also a hit

It's a nice place to show kids the underwater animal world but as a grown up it's honestly rather sad. The animal's areas are very small compared to other locations I've visited and many of the enclosures don't seem too clean. Staff was really nice!

Nice place for a 1 time visit especially for kids. They have a seal hospital which is doing some great work of seal rescues. They have some seals, sharks, stingrays, sea turtle, penguins etc

Lovely aquarium and bigger than we expected from others reviews. Definitely advise to get there for the feeding times as the animals all went back to bed afterwards.

Small Sea Life aquarium. A visit lasts between 1 and 2 hours. There's a drawing corner where you can bring your drawing to life! Very fun for the youngest.

Nice place, you can see there pinguins, otters, sharks and fishes. Really easy to move here with baby trolley so even our half year old baby was available to visit those place

Kind of disappointed that the sea lions were closed, and the penguins were closed. Would be nice if they put this on their website so you don't pay full price for a 'half' experience. The touch pool was great, as was the kids drawing/colouring area

Amazing place to visit whether with children, teens or adults. We absolutely loved the otters!!! One suggestion would be to place signs at the entrance of the shows to have guests turn off their phones.

Remember this is not a theme park in the sense you will not be getting a full blown show of seals… it is in reality a refuge and some educational elements have been built around it, not the other way around.

You can park at the sea life center itself, but of course it's paid parking. I did not park there myself so didn't see the cost. The center is quite small and you will have seen everything in about an hour. Unfortunately the otters, even though the habitat is big enough to walk around from all sides, were only hanging out inside so we couldn't get a good view. There were only 2 in total as well. For the seal, yes singular, don't expect a show in the arena. It's more of an interactive info session so be aware of this. For small kids it could be entertaining I guess. They do feed the seal so you can get a view out of water. The information given through the staff's microphone is blasted through 2 speakers in the roof of the arena and are quite difficult to understand the explanation with in my opinion.

A well-designed aquarium that focuses on rehabilitation of sick seals. Lots of tanks full of colorful fish for littles to enjoy watching. Hours of fun on the Belgian coast!

I was amazed by how big and so many different fish they have. Nice.

This place is amazing! We went to see the staff feeding the otters, penguins and seals which is so lovely. The guy explaining the feeding process is also super friendly, would love to come back to visit sometime xoxo 💗💗💗

👍 Good fun, both to watch and those brave or careless enough to try out some weird bikes on a nostalgic old wooden velodrome. 2,5 euro for (x?) minutes.
