Restaurant Chinese restaurant

👍👍 I have been eating at dragon almost 8 years. I am so sure that dragon is the best American Chinese Restaurant at Bloomington, even Indiana. Best version of general chicken! Also I would like to mention they have some real good authentic Chinese food too, with little bit higher price. Owners are good... People often mention Chinese, chicken, fried, rice, good, great, cash,

It’s that specific kind of Chinese restaurant where there are faded pictures of food on the wall and the employees don’t pretend to care about you. I love their food for the same reason I love Waffle House’s food. This place is perfect to me.

Used to be my favorite Chinese carry-out for years, but over last few visits, food seems to have gone downhill. Culminated with a carryout on 12/31 and "the runs" a few hours thereafter on the part of several members of our small party. Never again...

If I could give a negative star I would. I walk in and the owners were just staring at me like they didn’t want me there. They didn’t greet or anything. I wouldn’t mind so much if I paid for food that was not that great but still edible. BUT no, their food is so bad. I ordered chicken fried rice, and the chicken was white. It was so greasy. I was really hungry, but I lost all my appetite. Like how do you mess up on fried rice?? I also ordered steamed dumplings. Omg it was not edible at allll. I swear I’ve been to so many restaurants, I’ve never left a review before. This place is just so horrible. No words will ever be enough to describe how bad it is. I have been traumatized…

This place in the last year has raised their prices by 200% or more! They are just taking full advantage of being in the middle of student land. Most other Chinese food is half the price. Plus this restaurant isn’t anything to write home about. And to top it off, they only take cash.

I'm addicted to this place. The lunch n dinner combos are the way to go. Add pork the fried rice for $1. Eggplant with garlic sauce is of my favorite go tos. Pictured is chicken with Chinese vegetables dinner combo special (with pork fried rice upgrade.) 09/23/22 changed to 3 stars because the food quality and pricing was in Flux for a bit... And I'm already over that the girl at the front, who has an attitude that she has to always be right. It's Just a bad vibe. 🥲😖 I stopped coming here for a number of months last year before to avoid interactions with her... and a soft spoken guy had taken over the counter and taking orders... and I'd started to come back more regularly again... Well... Seems she's back and back to her argumentative ways. I might have to stop coming here for a while again. **sigh** 10-19-22 changed back to 5 stars because no more issues and tbh I love this place. It's worth stopping for cash for. 🥰

Every dish is a certified banger. I can order with my eyes closed and it's always fantastic. We randomly got the chicken soup today because of the adorable description on door dash (it sweetly compared the soup to "the warmth of a hug") and my mind is blown by how flavorful and delicious it was. I don't even like chicken soup

Dragon Express may be the best Chinese food in Bloomington! Tonight, I had the Chicken with Cashews with Roast Pork Fried Rice. My wife had Szechuan Chicken and Eggplant. Both were great. While the food is wonderful, the ambience isn't great. And it's cash or checks only; no credit or debit cards. Enjoy!

A very reliable and place for delicious Chinese takeout for less than $10. They have a very large menu, and the food is consistently very good. The wait time is low. The only real downside is you are unable to use card to pay, it's either cash or check. Overall I would recommend.

This place has not disappointed since I’ve been going in 2011. I recommend the fried dumplings and pork fried rice, our go-to - they’re fast and efficient and always worth it! Just remember to bring cash!

Good Chinese is hard to find in Bloomington. This by far is the best restaurant from pricing to portions. I really enjoyed my meal here. The shrimp fried rice was delectable. The staff was super friendly!

They don’t use MSG!! I have an allergy so it’s very hard for me to find things that don’t have MSG. This is my go to for chicken and broccoli and Lo Mein.

Delicious! I got the sesame tofu. The portion was plenty and the white rice that came with it was fluffy and each grain was separate, not clumped. The sauce was really good and not overly sweet. And it all came out super fast. Cash only.

It has not been the same since Mike and Amy left. The food has lost its quality. The generals chicken reminds me of the stuff you get from kroger from P.F. Changs. Chicken nuggets with some sauce that isn't really generals sauce. The lo mein tasted like it had BBQ sauce. The dumplings are okay, but they still have this taste to them I can't put my finger on. The Crab Rangoons taste like they have sour cream in them. The beef was way too tough in the beef and broccoli. Prices have risen too. I am sad to say this, but I doubt I'll return.

This is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. It beats every other place in town, easily. We got crab rangoons, generals chicken, veggie egg rolls and beef lo mein. All of it was absolutely amazing and I’ll definitely be going back. I’d highly recommend this!

I have been going here for years! Over 20 years and counting! Being here at Indiana University was capped off with one of my favorite restaurants, Dragon Express. It brings back a lot of good memories. The food is great and the hot tea is always free. Still is! I bring my kids who soon will be Hoosiers themselves and they love the Chinese fare. Still great food and still great prices. Recommended.
