Food and service were both excellent. $20 for a sandwich is pretty hefty but it was worth it. Everything tasted really great. It’s not like any other sandwich I’ve ever had. The meat in the mistral was super juicy and tender.

The Parish Cafe & Bar was a delightful surprise. After a long day exploring the city we were looking for a bite to eat and a place to rest. The drink selection hit the spot and the menu is extensive. The sandwich options were a delight. The BLT was a hit, nice and light, yet filling. Don't pass this place by.

They don’t take reservations— walk-in only. Wonderful outdoor seating for those warm Boston weather days. I’ve been here a few times and the staff have been great! They’re attentive and assisted and served us quickly. Awesome sandwiches!

Stopped here for lunch today and it did not disappoint! I had the Mexican Meatball sandwich, and it was delicious! All of the flavors and textures of the sandwich were absolutely perfect and balanced. From the spicy meatballs to the cheese and veggies — and the bread!! So damn good. Wife had the Mac and cheese and it was fantastic! Highly recommend — great servicegreat food — great atmosphere!

Have you ever had kettle chips on steroids? If not, you need to try this heart stopping delicacies at Patish! The hummus was also good and the pita was soft and fluffy. And the sour beer was amazing!

This was our meeting place after the Marathon. I was most excited about having a coffee after avoiding it during training and it did not disappoint!🤣After waiting for longer than typical given the crowd, we were finally seated. Atmosphere was great, leek bisque was delicious. Lamb kabob, pulled pork sandwich with potato salad and meatball were all very well received. Would recommend based on this experience.

Working and needed some dinner ordered the PARISH CHICKEN and the HALF BOWL-O-RINGS. Wow the onion rings golden brown and delicious lightly battered crispy and not oily they are so good! The baked buttermilk chicken, tomato, lettuce, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, house pickles and chipotle aioli. served on a deluxe roll and sided with potato salad. Bacon cooked crispy, the chicken was so moist and juicy the bread was fresh the cheese was melted the pickles great blend with aioli together. This sandwich so fricken good! The potato salad was ok and tasty as well. Onion rings and sandwiches are a must here! Will be ordering again from here when I need dinner.

A very famous, and therefore jam-packed, restaurant, right in the middle of Boylston. Visited this restaurant without any early reservations (not sure if they take any) and irrespective of being so crowded, we got a table just within 5 minutes. The seating is kind of congested but the food and ambience compensates for it. We ordered the Eggplant Milanesa and Smoke Shop Tofu and both the dishes were served with a salad on the side. The Smoke Shop Tofu had an edge over the other sandwich but overall loved the taste of food. The service provided was very friendly and quick. Would surely recommend a visit to the Parish Cafe.

Parish cafe is a chill and fun atmosphere. The onion rings were nice and crispy. They were on the oily side but what else can you expect. The vegetarian sandwich was delicious. I added onion to mine. Next time I would skip the bean spread on the sandwich. They were very accommodating about making substitutes. The chipotle Mexican slaw that came as a side was amazing. Would not change a thing about the slaw. Overall a great fun place.

We ordered the onion rings, kettle chips and the hummus plate. Onion rings were very oily and i would not recommend. The other dishes were okay and forgettable. I only liked the Saint Parish cocktail.

Great sandwich spot in Boston! My buddies and I were just casually looking for lunch spots and found this gem. Sandwiches are super filling and overall pretty delicious. Service was also wonderful and this restaurant is right in the heart of Boston downtown. Would recommend if you’re just looking for a nice lunch spot or craving sandwiches.

Absolutely some of THE BEST sandwiches I’ve ever eaten. The Le Mistral definitely ranks in my top 5 sandwiches of all time. I split this sandwich along with Rachel’s Hot Sister, which I also enjoyed. We also enjoyed the broccoli caesar salad. The sandwiches here might be on the more expensive side, but they are huge and definitely worth it. Their sides could be improved slightly, but I wasn’t focused as much on those. Hope to come back again soon!

I enjoyed a late evening dinner at the Parish Cafe & Bar in Back Bay Boston on Sunday, October 22, 2023 with a group of friends. Service was excellent and responsive within a well packed restaurant. The menu was great with a variety of healthier and lighter fare options, including sandwiches and salads. I really enjoyed my sandwich and pasta salad combo. The cafe also had a great selection of craft beers.

I had been here for a friend's birthday and had ordered The Alden to eat and Blood Orange quencher to go with it. The food was nice, the sandwich was a little on the dry side and the drink a little too sour for my taste, but the lovely staff made up for it. Ended the meal with the White Chocolate Bread Pudding. Lovely dinner! I would definitely recommend the place.

I googled where to get the best sandwiches in Boston, and this place did not lie. They have sandwiches from tons of chefs all over Boston, probably one of the best sandwich menus I've ever seen. And a really solid draft and bottled beer menu. A++ would nom again.

Came back after a really long time of having not been. They have a menu of sandwiches inspired by prominent chefs in the area. Still as good as it used to be. I got the Zuni Roll...a classic from the menu. Great sandwich. Their potato salad too is one of the only potato salads I'll eat. It's not overly mayo-ey (I have a big mayo hatred and avoid it as a spread on sandwiches or for the most part in dishes--in fact I asked them not to put mayo w/ my Zuni roll). The service was friendly. The place was packed. Glad to see they are still a neighborhood favorite. Glad I took a trip back to visit this old friend.

Came here my two friends from Colorado, so happy we chose this spot we had the best food and drinks & our server Lucy was absolutely amazing. I’m writing this review from our nice outdoor table right now, I don’t usually write reviews but everything was so great I had to write one. I had the “that’s my purse” drink and it’s one of my favorites I’ve ever had. Our server Lucy is so friendly and fun, she made this entire experience exceptional. Will definitely come back, great atmosphere drinks food and vibes

Parish cafe is quite a legendary place for me. Last time I was here was in 2019 for school interviews. The quality has held up and I really enjoy the sandwiches. I had initially taken takeout for pickup, but saw that there were seats inside and asked the manager if I could sit with my party inside. The manager was very nice and said that I would be able to. Really respect that. Super friendly staff and legendary sandwiches that are amazing. Personal favorite is the Mistral - which is made by a head chef from Ostra, one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.

It took forever for our drink order to be served and the waitress kept apologizing but eventually my pumpkin beer came with a pumpkin spice rimmed glass. The food came quickly. The sandwiches are unique, huge, and delicous! We ordered 3 different ones at our table and all were good.

I got the "On Special" The Row sandwich. Their menu features many sandwiches by local chefs of national reknown. The sandwich itself was very flavorful. The bread was toasted with the aoili spilling through the holes in the bread. It's a very saucy sandwich, which gives it a very powerful taste. The ham was very tender and not too salty. the tomato confit and browned onions balanced out the sandwich very well. I will definitely be coming back again to try out these rotating sandwiches.

Awesome spot in a phenomenal location. Menu is comprised of different Boston chef's sandwiches - really cool concept and excellent execution. Sidewalk patio was cool and comfortable and the meals were big and scrumptious! Had a really lovely time!

Awesome food! Sandwiches are culinary masterpieces. All chef inspired, created and prepared. I have had the Mexican Meatball several times...cannot get away from it...but try anything else. You will return to this place again and again. Oh, and by the way, the beer menu is very good as well!

I went in on Friday afternoon and sat at the bar. The service was minimal. I had Boylston Bowl which was very average. It was comprised of wet luke warm jasmine rice with black beans, corns, and some stale pieces of chicken breast toppled with fresh jalapeños and lots of orange color spicy sauce and mayonnaise.

Drawing inspiration from celebrated restaurants across Greater Boston, Parish Café presents a unique sandwich experience. During my recent visit, my friend and I shared the Hawaii 5-0 and the Parish Chicken. Each sandwich was a meal unto itself, generously proportioned and painstakingly assembled. The Hawaii 5-0 married sweet and savory in an unexpected yet delightful combination. Layers of sweetness from grilled pineapple, Hawaiian roll, and the coleslaw beautifully complemented the pulled BBQ pork. The final layer of American cheese then melted into the sandwich, bringing a creaminess that rounded out the flavors. The Parish Chicken sandwich was also quite good. This sandwich featured simple flavors by using traditional ingredients for burgers – lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon. The buttermilk chicken was tender, and I liked the hint of spice from the chipotle aioli. Accompanying both sandwiches was a side of potato salad, which might seem simple in its presentation but is delightfully creamy, offering a soothing counterbalance to the intricate flavors of the sandwiches. Although the prices at Parish Café & Bar are certainly on the higher end for lunch options, the premium is more than justified by the sheer quality. With its innovative, scrumptious sandwiches, Parish Café & Bar promises a singular, gourmet experience that's well worth the indulgence.

The seating is tight here at the parish cafe. They have a very eclectic menu with many sandwiches that are offered. They have a menu inspired by great chefs in local area. Great serving size with the sandwiches. They also have a great offering for beers, so many craft beer options. I would say the only downside is the sandwiches are really quite messy.

I have always loved parish cafe. Amazing sandwiches and they always get good amazing chefs from the Boston area to help create unique sandwiches. Here's one from Tiffani Faison (sweet cheeks, Top Chef) which is the pork burger. VERY spicy!! Could have used a smidge more coleslaw to temper the heat.

Flavorful food with lots of variety...fun concept to the menu. Meatloaf club was a perfectly piled sandwich with fresh ingredients. The meatloaf could have been warmer but was seasoned well. The potaotes that came with it lacked seasoning though. Atmosphere fun but a little loud.

The concept is fascinating, with accessible prices. It was hard to choose which sandwich I wanted, but I went with a sandwich associated with my #1 restaurant in Boston: Sarma. The ingredient combo sounded delicious. The first half of the sandwich was wonderful. The second half...not so much. The prosciutto was painfully dry, and the limited aioli was not enough. Found myself chugging water. That being said, I'm intrigued (and wallet isn't hurting) and will go back.

CLIFF NOTES: I TRIED ALL 19 PARISH CAFE SANDWICHES AND RANKED THEM BELOW In December 2018, two friends embarked on a daunting journey...a journey to try every sandwich on the Parish Café Menu. Though many called them crazy for going to a single restaurant so many times, they didn't let the haters distract them from persevering and finally achieving their goal, 3 months later. I am now here today to tell our story and share our ultimate, undisputed rankings of all 19 Parish Café sandwiches (though really this is up to personal preference so feel free to dispute it). Okay folks so I wrote my first review about Parish Cafe and gave it a 5, which I don't give that often. This place is unassuming, has a cafe feel, and serves the humble sandwich, but it earns its 5 stars. The service is great, the prices are reasonable given the portion size, and I have never left her feeling unhappy. I said it in my first review and I'll say it again. I love how this place elevates the sandwich and has 19 different ones created by different chefs around the city. I know I joked about going to the same restaurant so many times above but in going to this restaurant, you are almost getting a taste of Boston by trying the different sandwiches created by the different chefs of Boston. With that said, I would like to share my ranking of all 19 sandwiches based on my personal preference (plus pictures of every single one). I also had the bread pudding which is PHENOMENAL. A few caveats: I should first say that what I like is not necessarily going to be what everyone else likes so please know that. Two sandwiches below have horseradish cream and bleu cheese which set them way back for me because I don't like either of those things. I am also a big meat eater so I am inherently biased against the meatless sandwiches (and you will find most of those at the bottom of the ranking). I will also not judge sandwiches based on their sides...the sandwiches either come with potato chips, potato salad, cole slaw, or mixed greens and to be (somewhat) healthy, my friend often just went with the mixed greens. We did try all the sides and enjoyed them all but mixed greens were our go-to. I love onions, especially grilled, caramelized, or pickled so if a sandwich had one of this, it had an unfair advantage In general, I will also try and tell you if each sandwich is for when you're in the mood for something heavy or something light. You'll also find that I leaned more heavily (pun intended) towards the heavier sandwiches and that's also based on personal preference. Would love to hear your thoughts! 1. The Bravas 2. The Fully Committed 3. The Mistral 4. The DBar 5. The Hot & Dirty Pig Burger 6. The Meatloaf Club 7. The Mexican Meatball 8. The Daily Grind 9. The Spaceboy Shawarma 10. The Zuni Roll 11. The Eggplant Milanese 12. The Parish Chicken 13. The Spicy Tuna Burger 14. The Flour BLT 15. The Kenneth 16. The Bondir Brisket 17. Steak and Blue 18. The Smoke Shop Tofu 19. The Alden Hope this is helpful and please do check out the link above for the full ranking and my reasoning.

With an excellent variety of craft brews, Parish is a great hangout spot without being too crowded (at least at 6pm the Saturday I visited). Their menu is mostly small eats, but their sandwiches (crafted by several area chefs) are filling and flavorful. Some of their offerings can range a bit pricey, but just read the ingredients to find out why. You can still find a solid, simple turkey sandwich for the average rate.

Great food, a bit noisy, a bit expensive. Stopped in for a quick bite on a cold night before an appointment, had potato leek soup - which was delicious, but was charged for a piece of bread on the side. I might not have minded too much, but the bread was mediocre, like the spongey type made in a bread-maker, not a flavorful crusty bread that is so delicious with soup. Just my .02. The wine was good!

I loved the beer selection as well as the menu choices! Neither was overwhelming, but each was large enough to make me feel like I had a choice. Also, sides are predetermined which I wasn't sure about but I absolutely LOVED my potato salad...and I'm from the Midwest so I know what good potato salad tastes like!
