The location of this hotel is great and the fact that it's historical is neat, but the rooms are dated. I've stayed at other charming/historical hotels which had some modern fixtures in the rooms, so I was disappointed at the Omni Parker House. The first room we were given was really tiny and dark (didn't even have a full-size window), but we asked if it was possible to change, and they got us a larger room which was fine. If you book here, maybe call them in advance to ensure you get a room with a decent layout and lighting. Other than that, the stay and service was fine.

I understand the historic appeal, but I was surprised to find that some of the furnishing in the room, such as the rug and curtains, still looked liked they were from the 80s. The a/c also turned off when it was not actively cooling (instead of switching to a fan setting), so it made the room feel very stuffy. The pillows in my room were also way too soft. It's not awful, but there are so many other better choices in the area. Staff was nice and gym was surprisingly up-to-date.

I had a fabulous stay at this historic hotel thanks to the amazing staff! The people who work there make all the difference. Every single person I encountered at the Parker House was kind and caring and went above and beyond to make my accommodations comfortable. They made my stay exceptional. The hotel is gorgeous and the Boston Cream Pie and Parker House rolls are both not to be missed. I highly recommend getting one of the executive rooms for the extra space.

Fantastic location. Lovely decor. Quality towels and linens. Good service. BUT the photos on their website did not accurately represent the size of our room. There was 12 inches of space between the end of our too small "full-sized" bed (I question that) and the dresser. We had to shimmy sideways to cross the room. Expensive stay and huge disappointment.

Paying for location! Near everything and convenient for a tourist. Things I would expect for the price; real glasses, an ice machine, a mini fridge, hand soap, television that doesn't run on an analog signal. Couldn't valet park Saturday night upon return because of a wedding. It was a beautiful lobby though and the beds and linens were comfy.

I love this hotel, I love the staff but the rooms no matter if it’s the matchbox small room where I felt like I couldn’t move or the ample large suite they all need to be updated. The bathrooms need a massive haul over they are so tiny. There’s rust on the tub in the rooms I stayed in. The mirror in one of the rooms was not sure if it was going to fall. Towels need to be updated and softer. Suggestion you could offer organic towels, sheets and pillows. The wallpaper and carpets need to be updated. I recommend they do updates by floors if they want to. The hallways are dark and there’s no security cameras anywhere. Their rooms need to match their incredible staff. Right now they don’t match. It’s a gorgeous hotel, it’s historic, it’s centrally located they have everything going for them. But to have to pay the over priced room for what your getting isn’t ok. I stay here because it’s right next to where family lives but if I had another choice of rooms I would take it. Please update your rooms so it matches the price we are currently paying as loyal customers.

Hadn't been here for almost 20 years. It was desperately in need of a refurbishing. Stayed in an executive suite. Bed was ridiculously soft, pillows were as well. They offer no support, neck was killing me the next morning/day. Walls seemed a little thin, could hear everything going on around us. The wood trim looks like it has 5 coats of paint. My daughter said she was getting Tower Of Terror vibes.

The history of this hotel is really interesting, and I was excited to stay here. Service was excellent. The lobby is beautiful. But the rooms are aging and the walls are paper thin. Our neighbors were loud and obnoxious two nights in a row, and we lost a lot of sleep. It's a fun place to visit and have a drink or a Boston Cream Pie but I wouldn't stay here again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Omni Parker House Hotel. One of the most interesting features of the hotel was that it was haunted and we stayed in a room known for unusual activities, unfortunately we didn’t get a haunting. Then we found out they have a mini historical museum downstairs by the weight room, that was an added bonus! We ate at the Parker House for breakfast and it was on point. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We got room service one night, I suggest the burger and the brownie for dessert. Delicious!! I cannot wait to come back and stay again.

This hotel was an eye-opening experience for me. When we first got there the beauty and the charm of the lobby were unbelievable. The front desk folks and the Bell hops were unbelievably friendly. We got to the room and it was small and seemed older. My first thought was wow this seems really expensive for the type of room we have. Then I remembered, we are in Boston and of course it's going to be on the more pricey side. Then I also remembered that as Americans we always expect so much and expect things to all be brand new and perfect. We expect that things always have to be the best quality and we miss a lot when we think that way. We forget that things have history and sometimes they are older and that they have charm and aren't always brand new and perfect. I thought a lot about this review because I would never want to discourage anyone from staying here but I also want to help teach folks a lesson that just because things are older doesn't mean that they're not perfect and they're not beautiful. I hope that by reading this some people can let go of some expectations of what they think is perfect and beautiful and enjoy the history and the true beauty that this hotel and the wonderful staff has to offer.

The staff is warm and courteous to everyone, and the lobby has plenty of historical opulence. It's clear that this hotel is a historical mainstay of this city. The location is wonderful, and Boston is truly a beautiful city to visit, but, sadly, the Omni Parker Hotel falls a few stars short of the four star hotel experience. I came to Boston to run the marathon, with probably the majority of the other guests that weekend. Unfortunately the hotel was not prepared to accommodate our needs for a functioning elevator. During my entire stay only one of their four elevators was available. Nothing makes you more miserable than having to carry your luggage down 8 flights of stairs after racing 26.2 miles.

This hotel is absolutely phenomenal. The magnificent attention to detail is not only prominent in the infrastructure, but in their service as well. Everyone in the staff is kind, welcoming, and extremely informed on the area. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an elegant and inviting place to stay in Boston! All of the staff was phenomenal, but Elizabeth at the front desk really went above and beyond to enhance my experience and provide historical information about the hotel. Unfortunately I cannot recall the bellman/valet who assisted me, but I believe it may have been Paul. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the level of guest service and the impressive quality of the hotel.

The history behind this building alone is worth booking a room, but the hotel was amazing. It screams class and elegance when you walk through the front door. The staff was very kind & helpful. My favorite part however was the plush robes that come in every room. I lived in mine.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel during our stay in Boston. The rooms were small, and the walls were thin (we could hear phone conversations, coughing etc from our neighbouring rooms as well as the elevator). The location is very convenient as it is located right on the freedom trail! It was close to restaurants, key attractions and subway stops. The service from the front desk staff, housekeeping and bell man was all excellent. They were friendly and welcoming. Our room service was quite expensive and we were charged a $8 delivery fee which seemed unreasonable. Overall, this was a pricey stay but the location and good service made it worthwhile.

Wonderful hotel. It’s historic, right across the street from some incredible history. When I think of “old hotel” I think of mold, and being run down and dirty. Not this place. Everything is very clean. The style is historic but with included freshness and care taken to be modern. There’s a great exercise room and gift shop in the “basement”. The rooms are comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is surprisingly strong for our 8th floor room and a 160 year old building. The bed is SO comfortable. My wife and I referred to the hotel as “home” by the second day of our stay and we’ll definitely be back.

I stayed here with my daughter to attend a college visit. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff extremely professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on the Freedom Trail and central to many historical attractions (the hotel itself having quite a bit of historical significance). Well within walking distance to restaurants, cafes and shopping as well. The price point is also very fair. I will without a doubt stay at the Omni Parker House Hotel for future overnight stays in Boston!

The staff at this hotel, particularly Richard, went above and beyond. The lobby was so busy and he was multitasking multiple guests and kept a smile on his face and was so kind to everyone. I could tell he really enjoyed his job and he was so kind to me as well. The staff here are hardworking and it does get busy, they are hustling and working their hardest. Jackie was also very kind and accommodating during my stay.

They have a wonderful hotel in Boston. The staff including Bellman were terrific! Bellman went out of his way to make my visit pleasant. He was awesome! It's a beautiful hotel! The hotel helped my when the Embassy Suites Boston Logan airport Hotel lost my reservation or was cancelled. I recommend this outstanding hotel!

This has got to be the most unique hotels I have ever stayed in. It's steeped in history and radiates the charm of a bygone era. The staff is friendly and responsive. I just wish the bed was comfortable. It's like a medieval torture device. But, I still love the experience.

The hotel history and old-world charm paired with catering to the modern guest provides security and comfort. This unique marriage elevates the guest's stay to a high standard of quality and experience. The restaurants and staff take pride in their product and service and guarantee a return visit. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

A historic hotel that's in a fantastic location! The rooms are showing their age and our room was a little on the smaller side, but it's still very nice. Most important things, comfortable bed, plush towels, hot water, and can't be the accessibility to the history of Boston!

Don't forget to use HoteITully.á´„á´Źm when booking a hotel. They compare countless booking web sites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! You can't get better than this location. Right in the heart of it all. The staff was kind and helpful. The front desk gave our kids little activity bags which they loved. The Parker Restaurant has a terrific breakfast, and the waitstaff was awesome. Our room was plenty spacious and clean. I hope to return!

The Omni Parker is iconic. The lobby is beautiful, the staff is top notch. However, the room was very small. That’s not a big deal. But the bathroom was tiny. To go to the bathroom, you had to squeeze past the bathroom door and if you didn’t close the door, your legs were straddling the door. And the shelf in the bathroom was badly rusted. I’m glad we stayed here this year but doubt that we will return.

Very historical location, and you can see that in the stunning decor. There was no real view from the room I got. The rooms are well equipped, with a hair dryer, a large safe, coffee maker, iron, and ironing board. No fridge or microwave, however. The staff was nice and friendly, however when I tried calling the front desk, no one answered. It's still a very good hotel in a great location. Only wish it used some of the more modern tech that Marriot and Hyatt have wherein you can use an app to communicate with the front desk for room service, etc. They have an in-house restaurant, coffee shop, and bar and even give you a coupon for a beer, wine, or coffee at the in-house facilities.

This very historic hotel is in a great location and walking distance from historic sites, restaurants and shopping. There is an onsite restaurant and coffee shop/convenience/gift shop. There is a fitness room on the lower level with a variety of fitness equipment but the room lacks windows to the outside. The guest rooms themselves were small but comfortable. The view from our room was of an brick office building so it did lack natural light and seemed dim most of the day. The service at this hotel is great and the history of this location is unmatched. Worth a visit but don't have high expectations of their guest rooms.

Location is great, right in the middle of the Freedom Trail and near Boston Commons The building itself is really interesting from a historical and architectural perspective. Most of the common areas and facilities are really well kept I stayed in one of the cheaper rooms. The room itself was somewhat small, but that’s expected from an older hotel. The decor in the room made it feel a little bit dated I got the room at a discounted price because of a conference I was attending at the hotel, the actual price is a little bit in the pricier side for what you get

The service was unbeatable. When we arrived, everyone was very hospitable and friendly from the doorman, to the gentleman in the lobby, and the woman at the front desk. The room was a little small and we didn’t have a good view, however, we were only staying for one night and didn’t spend much time in the hotel. The bed was a little lumpy but I actually found it to be pretty comfortable and I slept well. For the service alone I would absolutely stay again.

It was a nice place! Very fancy, ornate, beautiful! The valet service was very helpful and efficient as we had unloaded the car. (me, my two friends, and my mom and one friend's mom, friend's mom was driving.) It was my first time checking myself (with my friends I was rooming with) in to a hotel, and the lady at the front desk Friday evening was very warm and welcoming. One very minor perplexing thing was at the bar/restaurant, when getting dinner that evening, I got the wrong order of food sent to me *twice*. Was very odd but thankfully that was corrected quickly and I was able to enjoy my meal that I ordered. The next day (today, as I write this), check-out was relatively smooth, except for one little mistake I made, I accidentally left a box of wrapped up leftover food from breakfast (from a nearby restaurant) in the room and hadn't remembered until like right after I checked out. Staff were very helpful and understanding and allowed me to get back in my room and retrieve my food. I was so embarrassed (such a silly accident) but very thankful they did that for me. The room was very neat and tidy, we had enough amenities for the 3 of us. The room location was good, easy to remember. Hotel location was also sufficient, not too terribly far from the Boston Convention Expo Center.

Stately historic old hotel. Absolutely impeccable service from every staff member. Lovely rooms not quite up to current competitive standards. Parker Restaurant limited to breakfast and lunch. Room service is also available. Located in the historic center of "Boston proper".

Beautiful old hotel. Some of the rooms are quite small but the lobby is fantastic and the restaurant historic. Sat at table 40 where JFK proposed. Also home of the Parker roll and Boston Cream Pie

We had a good time but our room had many places where damage had been. Our TV didn't work well, there isn't a good view from the window and the rooms offer full or queen size beds only. We had a walk in closet almost as big as the entire room. Great location but not worth the price. Valet is over $60 for the night FYI... The downstairs area is the best part in my opinion. You can visit without staying.

This place is amazing. A very beautiful historic building. Our room was quiet and very comfortable. I slept like a baby! The Boston Cream Pie from the gist shop is to die for. Pretzel French Toast for breakfast was delicious. Everything here was top notch and I would stay here again.

Nice place. extremely helpful staff and service. Everything was clean the rooms were okay nothing too fancy but definitely not a dump. A little pricey for what you get I think I'll put all in all not a bad place to stay in the city

Your venue is one of the coziest hotels in Boston. We photographed a wedding here and everything ran so smooth. Everyone working here was so helpful…thank you for helping us find the perfect place for indoor pictures and gorgeous window light! The Rooftop Ballroom was set for the night - just the right about of sparkle, and a whole lot of class. The inside architectural design is gorgeous, fit for a king and queen!

2 young women, got a room for 1 night for a show at the garden, at night the main entrances were locked, walked to summer street entrance and was followed to the room to be told to be quiet. Did not even get our jackets or shoes off before being scolded as adults. Not at all hospitable, will be staying at any other hotel for any other price in the future as a local.

Rooms are a little old. Shower heads are awkwardly located and do not provide enough water. Fitness facility is great and the location is excellent. Overall, it's the hotel provides a good value for it's relatively inexpensive cost for the area.

We bought coffee and Boston cream pie in the small coffee area and sat down in the lobby to enjoy our pie. Craig, The owner of the gift shop stopped by and entertained us for a long time explaining the history of the hotel. Very nice people working there.

Highly recommend staying here if you are heading to Boston! We were very impressed with everything this hotel had to offer. Nice staff, great location, cool hotel with an excellent cocktail bar that we just seem to get back to each night. Yes, the rooms are small but I'd assume most hotel rooms downtown Boston are, but this was better priced when we compared and we got a lot more value out of this place. So glad we decided to stay here - you should stay here too.

There we were. Alone and confused. And then… a man… out of the darkness came in and swoop us off our feet and his name…. Was IRVING. Wow let me just tell you .. this man is the best bellhop is the entire WORLD. He goes above and beyond his fellow human to deliver the best service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I just hope one day I can repay him with a lung and a kidney..IRVING FOREVER will never ever forget the hospitality you gave me as a guest at this hotel amazing customer service this man was so welcoming and we will be back because of IRVING <3

Can't go wrong with this location. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was just okay. The walls and doors are thin so you clearly hear your neighbors and people walking in the hall which resulted in being woken at 130am to returning guests. The AC kept the room nice and cool but there was no option to leave the fan running when the AC is off which would have helped drown out ambient sounds. The shower was nice and hot but provided little pressure and the head was very low so prepare to bend over if you are tall. Ultimately you are really just paying for the location.

Beautiful hotel situated in the heart of Boston and on the Freedom Trail. Staff were amazingly attentive, helpful and friendly. The hotel is elegant although in retrospect, it is not as welcoming to guests with physical disabilities. You can navigate to most areas indirectly but due to its age, that is something to keep in mind. The rooms are very nice and have comfortable beds. Lobby is gorgeous. The only inconvenience is the small bathrooms and insufficient lighting and counter space to meet the needs of those trying to put on makeup. I had a city view room which made it quite enjoyable. I certainly would stay again.

Although the room is small and a bit dated the rich history of the building makes up for it. The staff was 11/10, I’ve never received such wonderful service and overall kindness and small touches just to elevate the experience. The lobby alone is worth it even if you don’t stay there, just walk in and look around. It reminded me of the titanic, so grand and opulent and actually old and well maintained not copied. Really memorable place!

Great location, easily walkable to multiple attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are very small. No room service available due to COVID. There is a safe and a pod coffee maker (albeit with minimal coffee supplies) in the room. Upon check in valet didn't know how to start our car, just kept pushing buttons & setting off the alarm. Then we were given our room keys only to find, on entering the room, that it wasn't ready...the bed was stripped with dirty linen on the chair and towels on the floor. Easily rectified by the front desk staff. Would return and try it out again on another trip

Review of the Boston Cream pie only: Pie was good! I mistook the almonds on the side as coconut. It’s not really like your traditional pie. It’s more like a cake with cream in the middle and chocolate on top. It was good, not too sweet and light.
