The place was nice and service was good. I ordered the Phi Latte (sweet condensed milk and iced). The coffee was just okay and has a strong bitter/burnt after taste to it. It seems like Phi Latte is pre-made and is already combined with the condensed milk. So, they just pour it into your the cup.

DEC. 2023 UPDATE: I came back to Phinista for the custard buns since I did not get to try them the first time. I went at opening as to not risk them selling out and to have better luck with parking, which can be difficult to find in that area. The interior aesthetics are top notch. I love all of the design choices. It was empty when I went, with two workers. I got the ube latte and the pandan and coffee custard buns. The ube latte was smooth and creamy and a decent size for the price ($5.50). The worker accidentally gave my drink to someone else but corrected it before that person left. As for the custard buns, they looked so sad and deflated (especially the coffee one) and were burnt on the bottom. There wasn't that much custard either, but the flavors were good. I don't know if they were crunchy from being burned or are normally crunchy, but I kind of liked that they had a bite (not so much the burnt taste, though). The worker also forgot that I ordered these, so I had to wait a while after getting my drink. The worker seemed quite out of it, but the holidays can be stressful, so I can overlook the service. Maybe third time's the charm? JUL. 2023: This is a cute Vietnamese café located in the Fenway area. I went on a weekday afternoon, which was a mistake on my part because all of the popular pastries were already sold out. I ended up getting the strawberry matcha latte and nutella crepe. The server accidentally put my drink in a glass cup rather than a to-go cup, so I stayed to finish my meal. If I had to rate based on the food alone, I would have rated lower because the matcha latte was subpar compared to matcha lattes at Matcha Maiko down the street, and the nutella crepe was flat in flavor and texture and expensive. However, the staff was so sweet, and these aren't the popular dishes, so I would come back to give Phinista another chance.

Pistachio muffin and strawberry matcha were super delicious! Cafe is small, so seating area is limited when busy. Staff was super nice

I really enjoyed visiting this cafe. The Phin drip coffee black is an experience in itself, but balancing it with the sweetness of the Is This Heaven? crepe was truly transcendent and shouldn't be missed. The couple workers were very nice and polite, and made sure everything was great. The vibe if the place is warm and invites one to lounge for a bit and sip. I'll be back to explore some of the bahn mi options.

Atmosphere is great. Very cute place and well decorated and designed. Had the Ube milk which was very pretty to look at and take pictures of, but the Ube flavor did not come out very much. Also had the lemongrass beef banh mi which was underwhelming in terms of flavor. The bread was nice and crispy though I thought the ratio of fillings and bread was in favor of bread. The pickled veggies were not consistent with size and therefore had chunks of carrot that was basically raw. Would recommend for the drinks and crepes but maybe another spot for the banh mi.

A peaceful little spot in the middle of the busy city. Got my blood drawn (not here) and came here seeking solace. Devin smiled at me like an old friend who knows a secret. He made me a crepe and coffee and brought it to my table with a wise smile. The is this heaven crepe. Tastes like something I ate as a child. I don’t remember what it was, I just remember the joy it made me feel and the feeling my parents might get divorced soon. The plate was beautifully put together. I ate it like a ravenous stray dog. I feel my blood being restored. May only kindness walk through you door. Great place for a date.

They've updated the seating since I first went here! Such a lovely cafe to get banh mi or to study/read. They do get quite busy at peak hours, so keep that in mind. The pork banh mi is delicious! Love their drinks too.

Phinista Cafe is a culinary gem that has taken the city's breakfast scene by storm. With its innovative Vietnamese-inspired breakfast dishes, this eatery has become a haven for food enthusiasts seeking a unique and flavorful start to their day. From the moment you step into Phinista Cafe, you're greeted by an inviting ambiance that effortlessly blends modern chic with a touch of rustic charm. The star of the show is undoubtedly the Vietnamese-inspired breakfast dishes that seamlessly marry traditional Vietnamese ingredients with classic breakfast staples. The Pho Benedict, a delightful twist on the classic Eggs Benedict, features poached eggs nestled atop a bed of tender beef, all resting on a toasted banh mi roll. The velvety hollandaise sauce adds a touch of richness that beautifully complements the dish's savory notes. Another standout option is the Banh Mi Breakfast Sandwich, a masterpiece that combines the familiarity of a breakfast sandwich with the bold flavors of banh mi. The crispy baguette embraces a medley of ingredients, including savory pork, pickled vegetables, and a perfectly cooked fried egg. The symphony of textures and tastes is nothing short of sensational. And let's not forget the Phin Coffee, a Vietnamese classic that has been elevated to new heights at Phinista Cafe. The rich, aromatic brew is meticulously crafted and provides a delightful jolt of caffeine that pairs perfectly with the bold flavors of the dishes. What sets Phinista Cafe apart is their unwavering dedication to using fresh, high-quality ingredients. This adorable place is so good. We picked up 2 Vietnamese iced coffees and split a coffee roll crepe. The coffees were amazing - perhaps infused with magical coffee and the crepe was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful - even prepared the crepe in a to go box for easier sharing. This place is a hidden gem - walk past Tatté and check out Phinista Cafe! Good to know: you can order in advance online (great for folks who work in the Longwood Medical Area) and they take Apple Pay. Also, the crepes are made with love so prepare to wait a few minutes.

This place has rebranded so I'm updating my review! This place is super fun and super insta worthy! They have lots of outdoor seating and their indoor seating is well-spaced as well. Food and drink are excellent and service is quick too. We got our drinks easily within 5 minutes, despite arriving in the morning on Sunday for coffees/teas. Egg coffee was sweat and creamy, the berry matcha milk tea was beautiful and also very strongly matcha-flavored (in the best way), and the croque madame crepe was tasty without being overwhelmingly heavy. Definitely recommend this place for a to-go or to-sit-outside snack and drink, and take a picture while you're at it!

Biked here and needed breakfast. The Vietnamese style coffee was great (a big personal favorite of mine), and we got two crepes that were well cooked. It was very busy, and difficult to find a seat but luckily some people noticed us holding our food and were finished so they moved so we could sit down. It's a little off the main strip near some other restaurants, but I think it offers better cuisine than the strip which is mostly chains. Support local business and try this place out!

The coffee and food is great, I personally like the tofu banh mi alot. It has a perfect mix of spice, sweet and overall sour taste. The Vietnamese coffee can feel a bit strong, but tastes really nice. I have also tried the strawberry matcha, which was refreshing as well!

Lovely cafe with flavourful coffee drinks . Very nice server helped me. Their muffins are very unique (I recommend the pistachio). I would caution that it gets very hot inside during summer and might be crowded. Didn’t try the food.

Cute little crepe spot! I got a crepe and Thai iced tea and they were both amazing! The outdoor seating was nice especially when the weather was nice out. Service was quick but most of all the food was good. If you’re looking to check out a spot for crepes Boston, I would definitely check this place out!

Crepes and Vietnamese style coffee. Cannot go wrong. They're Vietnamese drip coffee with condensed milk is one of my favorites. The crepes absolutely delicious. It's small so it gets easily packed. Hopefully another location is in the books. Overall one of my favorite places for coffee in Boston!

Phinista is a beautiful little cafe near Fenway, a sort of oasis for the area! The ambiance is very airy and hip. The staff is also super nice and welcoming. I tried the Ube milk and the ube flavor didn’t really come through much, I was a bit underwhelmed. I love ube so it was disappointing. The Tri-berry Parfait crepe was absolutely delicious! Sweet and filling, I love it. The grilled barbecue pork banh mi was very good as well. Lots of meat that was really flavorful. I feel like if could have had more veggies though. One thing I wasn’t a big fan of was how crispy the baguette was, it was really messy. My friend loved their drip black iced coffee. Overall, this place was great and I would absolutely visit again.

I love this little cafe. The Vietnamese coffee is amazing! I tried the lavender syrup yesterday for a change and I highly recommend that too. The Banh mi is very authentic (okay, granted, I'm not Vietnamese but have traveled to Vietnam and have a real appreciation for their delicious food). Next time I want to try out their sweet options!

The cold brew is wicked strong and delicious! Drinking it was an intense experience. The iced coffee was sweet, my first time having condensed milk in my coffee but I loved it! Oooh the crepes, my favorite was the banana 🍌 Nutella! We sat outside it was a great vibe. Will definitely be going again!

Phinista is the cutest little viet cafe 😍 they have egg coffee which is super hard to find outside of Vietnam and amazing crepes with Viet flavors like condensed milk. The cafe itself is super cute for working or just hanging out & the owners have put in so much work opening and running this place during the pandemic! Definitely pay them a visit and help support sweet local businesses like this one ☺️

Loved the atmosphere here! Staff were very friendly, patient, and answered all my questions. One of them even gave me a small cup of coffee on the side to see where my sweetness preference was. Coffee was delicious, strong, and had no leftover grounds at the bottom of my drink. Their peach cobbler crepe was delightful! Definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston!

Such great gem in Fenway!! Been here a couple times over the past year and I keep coming back. The drinks are smooth and balanced (and I love the sweet vs not too sweet option (the sweet is still not too sweet!). I've gotten a bunch of the banh mis and theyre all delicious and fresh. Only con is that they're a bit messy, but that's ok. Overall, highly recommend!!

I might be a bit obsessed with this place! :) The flavors Phinista team comes up with are out of this world and every coffee/chai/latte you'll go for, it will be amazing. The crepes are super tasty as well and I can't wait to try their lava cakes. Follow them on IG at your own risk! ☺️

Hands down my favorite banh mi on the east coast. Extra pate goes a long way here to make it a decadent lunch in the best way possible. The coffee is also, in my opinion, how every Vietnamese coffee drink should be — ridiculously, irresponsibly strong but very balanced and crushable. The staff and owners are also very friendly.

Stopped by for a quick brunch before going to the Gardner Museum with my parents. We had both the sweet crepes (delicious and large portions) as well as the Bahn Mi. Drinks were also very tasty. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quick bite or coffee before strolling through the Fens, or visiting the MFA / Steward Gardner.

First time go-er and I loved the small, cozy atmosphere. I had the iced matcha latte and their chicken rice bowl. So delicious! The staff was super attentive and friendly. Will be coming back during my lunch breaks :)

Loveeee their bahn mis. The best I’ve had in the city so far. Especially love the bbq pork and crispy shrimp. Matcha and cream is a great drink along with their americano. And of course, love the ambience of the outdoor dining on Peterborough St amongst all the other fast casual spots.

Move out of the Cicada this place is delicious! Searching for a delicious Bahn mi after my disappointing hike and long wait at Cicada I found Phinista Cafe! Such a cute semi hidden away cafe with a decent amount of indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating! A friendly smile greeted me when i walked in the door. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and chill indie/alt music playing. I took an empty seat at a wall facing table next to the counter. It was a cozy nook with photos and letters on the wall giving it a comfortable vibe. There is a QR code which you can order through as well which i liked. I ordered the Phin drip latte hot, the Mon amour crepe and grilled bbq pork bahn mi. The coffee came out quickly and was very smooth and not too sweet (which i requested). The crepe came out next but i saved it for after the sandwich. The sandwich looked fresh and had a great ratio of meat veggies and sauces! The bbq sauce was flavorful but not too over powering so you couldn't taste the paté or the delicate pickle on the veggies. I usually prefer more of a pickle on my bahn mi veggies and a thinner sliced veggie but i did enjoy the freshness of the less pickled veggies on this sandwich. I cannot emphasize enough that all the flavors of this bahn mi were balanced perfectly! The bread was crispy on the outside but not dry on this inside so it ate easily. 10/10 bahn mi! The crepe was crispy and stuffed full of layers of crepe, custard, nutella, and strawberries! The strawberries were fresh and sweet! The sweetness of the dessert crepe paired well with the latte. Tge crepe was still mostly crispyb on the edges by the time i finished my sandwich as well! Great work guys! I really appreciated this spot. Its a perfect combo for me! French crepes and Vietnamese bahni mis! Solid spot to chill our even just take a quick lunch break.

This place was so cute! I came in for lunch on a stroll around Boston and was not disappointed! The atmosphere was cute and the staff was really nice. I wish they had a paper menu and I wasn't fond of the online ordering, but the staff member at the register was super nice and took my order upfront. I got the bbq pork banh mi and ube tea latte. The pork was pretty good and the bread felt fresh. Soft on the inside but still had a lot of crunch. The drink was thicker than expected but it worked for the ube. Just sweet enough to be satisfying :) I would def come back if I visit Boston again!

Phinista is launching new items very soon! I hope you're as excited as I am here's a little sneak peak. The dish I tried as of that day, the noodles were springy & chewy soaked in this sweet & tangy sauce, yet still savory with the Vietnamese pork & I love flat rice noodles so eating this was def a treat, I was surprised how since it wasn't completely covered in the sauce I thought it would be bland, but the noodles itself had so much flavor (the power of rice noodles ahha) The drink I got is a mojito with dragonfruit + free spirits gin! It had the perfect balance of the spice from the mint & the sweetness of the dragonfruit & chamomile tea! As pretty as it looks, it was super refreshing as I drank it alongside the dish!

Phinista’s Vietnamese Iced Coffee is a must try - so delicious! They use traditional Vietnamese coffee recipe which would help you wake instantly. I was very impressed with their drinks menu too, very creative with fresh, real, tasty ingredients. This place is never a wrong choice. Bad thing is that they haven’t opened many locations

Very nice vibes with both the people and restaurant décor. Their coffee options are on the pricey side – similar to specialty lattes from Starbucks. But my Vietnamese coffee latte was very good (maybe a tad too sweet), as was the sweet cream pastry I got. Also tried their BBQ pork banh mi (my favorite kind). It was mid-range – their sauce was a bit too sweet for me. And the veggies weren’t as crisp or as tasty as I’ve had them elsewhere.

This place is great! Had the pork banh mi which was delicious and the sauce was tasty. The black milk tea was fantastic and actually tasted like tea. The matcha lava cake, ube lava cake, and vanilla lava cake were all delicious and well done. The ambiance was nice and chill, great place to hang out with friends on a lowkey Friday night! 10/10 would recommend!

My partner and I first discovered Phinista last month, and we went back twice in one week we had such an amazing experience. I’ve had both their Croque Madame and Sweet Caroline savory crepes, and they're absolutely delicious. They also have my favorite milk tea in Boston. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. When I stopped in this morning, I was recommend to try the Oolong Milk Tea for the first time, and I’m so glad it was suggested because I think it’s my new favorite :) thanks to everyone at Phinista for being so amazing!

I genuinely don’t understand the bad reviews because my experience was absolutely fantastic. Everyone working was super friendly and helpful! I got the 50/50 thanks to their recommendation and it was soooooo good. It is a combination of their oolong milk tea and the Vietnamese coffee. I loved that it wasn’t too sweet nor too milky. I’m glad I convinced my friends to drive 20min to this place because they loved it too.

I highly recommend the Is This Heaven crepe! Inside was strawberry and choco sauce along with custard creme and caramelized walnuts which I found out are actually made in-house. I’m a Phinista fan before they open their coffee shop in Fenway. I’m in love with their coffees, especially cafe creme brulee. They used to have an awesome project that they gave out free coffees for health care workers. I can feel that the owners care about their customers with their hearts. I came to the shop today and ordered a cafe cream brulee which is bomb. I also had a “is this in heaven” crepe. It’s sooooo tasty and wonderful to start a day with. I hope that they will have their signature lava cake on the menu soon. Love this place.

So happy to see a Vietnamese cafe in this area, this is a much needed addition to the Fenway area! Their current menu includes a wide variety of coffee and tea with lots of Asian inspired flavors (including classic Vietnamese iced coffee as well as trendy drinks like dragon fruit and lemonade tea), delicious crepes that are upgraded from Neighborhood Cafe's old offerings, and best of all, authentic Vietnamese dishes like grilled pork vermicelli and classic banh mi sandwiches. I live close by and this is my favorite new place to eat.

Awesome cafe with great food and nice atmosphere! I got the Tuscan Chicken crepe with a Milk 'n Jas and they were perfect for a weekday lunch. Crepe was super filling and even had leftovers! Milk 'n Jas was fragrant and had a good ratio of milk-to-tea. I visited in the late afternoon and there was plenty of seats on the patio and inside. Phinsta is a cute neighborhood spot that I could see myself studying at (when the pandemic ends) and might definitely become my new go-to crepe place!

The best cold brew I’ve ever had. I knew it would be good because they value quality and good ingredients but I had no idea it would be this good! It is the smoothest cold brew I’ve ever had. It has an extremely rich and deep flavor almost like caramel but not sweet. Do yourself a favor and pop into this extremely cute coffee shop. I hear they also serve Vietnamese food for lunch and dinner but I haven’t tried it but I will be back soon for that as well

This is my go-to place for coffee. It is amazing and I fall in love more with each visit. The coffee is outstanding and the ambiance even more so. Phil is excellent to talk to, and I cannot imagine how difficult it must be in these times to stay afloat. Pictured is the Iced Phin Mocha!! Highly recommend this and the Phin Sua! PS: Avoid the rush hours if you can, the wait can be a little longer than what you'd expect, but worth the wait.

I went to phinsta for the first time today for brunch and it was amazing. The service was some of the friendliness I’ve experienced. They were super sweet and I really appreciated it. The food is amazing, I got the cinnamon roll crepe. I pretty much finished it in a minute. Overall, the experience was 10/10 and I will definitely come back in the future.
