been going here for myself for over 10 years for myself now my daughter is going her as well. I’ve been trying to get on the phone with some since 9am it’s 3pm now no has Called me back I have left multiple messages and still NOTHING!!! they really need to get to staff. Most doctors are good with my daughter and some of the females are stuck up and don’t even answer simply question and make you feel completely UNCOMFORTABLE. I’m done with this place for real .

I've been with them since 1980 they're terrible and I'm in the process of switching clinics. No one is ever available when call and the staff at the desks are very rude. They need to find another person to run this clinic because that lady that runs it now is not helping making it better just sitting collecting the money!!!

Worst clinic I have ever been to. I was never able to see my doctor because her schedule was very limited and if I did get an appointment I would be in the waiting room for hours before I would be seen. I been going to this clinic for 19 years and worst doctor I ever had. And because I didn’t go in for like 2 years since covid started I got dropped and was told I need to schedule an appointment for a new pcp. No thank you I will go somewhere else. I’d rather have a doctor who cares about their patients and makes time for them.

Worst customer services ever, I have an appointment at 6:00 pm, I arrived at 5:40 and still is 7:42 and nobody take me. What is the sense to make appointment when they will attend you whatever time they want! I understand that doctors can be busy but is crazy because you see nurse, receptionist and everyone talking and walking around.

I’m in the process of trying to find out who to report this clinic too for the lack of care and concern they give to their patients. It’s Wednesday 12/8 I have been trying to get a hold of the purple team since Thursday of last week! I instead had to go to the ER twice. How can you people get away with this? Clearly you read the complaints and their all the same. Instead of saying sorry, do something about it.

Doctors are good but the customer service is awful! They never answer the phone. I showed up in person, and they gave me a direct line which they don’t answer either. It was funny because when I showed up, the people at the from desk had the phone occupied talking about their personal matters! This happened at the Dental clinic. They need people with better work ethics

I’m so confused on why they would no offer urgent care ? Is this not a health center for the community? Whitter st claim they offer same day appointment but If you call of course no answer. Leave multiple voicemails and you won’t receive a phone call back give them a week & someone would contact you if you get lucky. Do they not have anyone working on the phones? What is the staff doing? After a week of leaving voicemails a male from the wellness department calls me and ask if someone ever call me back from A WEEK AGO ! NO I WAS NEVER CONTACTED THATS WHY IM ASSUMING YOU JUST HER MY VM. Moving forwards i was told by him someone will be calling me back right away.. 24 hours later NO PHONE CALL.. Please tell me what the point of that phone call. Only reason to why I stay here is because of my Doctor.. Dr.Mayfield ! She is honestly the best. But unfortunately I can’t do it anymore.. ive been a patient of Whitter st for over 15 years all of my services are at this location and this is getting out of hand....Going to Fenway health !! Oh don’t ever schedule an appointment and think you will be only waiting 5-30mins and 30mins is pushing it. They will have you waiting for 2-3 hours ! Make sure to be ready to spend your whole day there !

Made a 9:30am appointment several weeks in advance for a Covid-19 Booster shot. Got to the check in desk at 9:30, was given a call number like you get in at a deli counter. My number wasn’t called until 10:55. They had one receptionist and one person actually giving the shots. The receptionist was overworked and clearly frustrated with patients be confused by the check in process. This location must either be extremely understaffed or willfully understaffing the vaccine clinic. In any case unless this is your only option, go somewhere else. A local pharmacy took 10 minutes for several people I know. Save yourself the time.

I would like to know why they have phone numbers available to people if when we leave a message they don't call back? Very disappointed at the unprofessional aptitude of personal specially the young lady that handle the insurance. Never call back nor respond message

I would give negative stars if I could solely for the customer service. Phone lines are useless. They NEVER answer. I've tried for 3 years now. Will have to go in person to have my issue resolved. This is for the dental department specifically.

Never answer phones always have to leave messages that no one calls back to. When you do have let's say a 10:00am appointment your not seen until like 10:30-10:45 but let you be get there at 10:25 they will reschedule you. Staff ain't professional. I believe its time for a new place and its sad I been coming here since I been a teen.

I use to go to this clinic when I was a kid and their service was tremendous, but I can’t say that now. It’s so hard to get ahold of a staff member in any department and their staff members are very unprofessional, that’s why I switched my clinic to Somerville but I switched back over recently because Somerville is too far, but if I could keep going there I would, they had excellent customer service and they care about their patients and their appointments are very great there. I had a dentist appointment recently at Whittier to get a cleaning and boy if I tell you it was one of the worst cleaning I’ve ever received in my life, there were two students a African American female and a Caucasian female. The caucasian female was the one doing my cleaning and the African American female was there to assist her the Caucasian student was extremely rough doing my cleaning and was hurting my mouth. She was opening my mouth very roughly to the point had she opened it a inch more I would’ve had a cut on the side of my mouth. I’ve never herd of a cleaning to be so painful and so careless, the funny thing is she would know she’s hurting me because of the sounds and movements I was making and she didn’t care she kept going, she’ll only ask if I’m ok or in pain when she realized her supervisor was present in the room. They had their supervisor there to watch, sometimes the supervisor would walk out the room to attend to something else but the cries of my pain would motion her back in the room and she knew the student was doing a terrible job, but she would ask the student if everything was alright or sometimes she would take over. This is a very unsafe behavior and service especially with the tools they are using it can harm someone in their mouth or leave a permanent scar. I understand students need practice but this kind of practice on a patient is very dangerous and can lead to a lawsuit. After my appointment I was told that the clinic was going to call me to schedule my next appointment for my x-ray it’s been a month now I have not heard or received a call from anyone, I’ve been calling the dental department (no answer) sometimes I would call other departments to ask what’s going on or to transfer me but it’s so sad because they tell me I’m not the only patient calling and complaining about this and how theres so little they can do. I still haven’t been able to book my appointment. This clinic needs to be shut down ASAP before a lawsuit is filed for someone getting hurt or for lack of care for their patients health. And I will no longer have a student work on me in any medical way due to this poor service I received. As I stated I understand students need practice but we are not dummies to be worked on anyhow, we are humans that feel pain and have feelings.

Have been a patient at Whittier since the clinic was actually located on Whittier St. I’m very disappointed with this facility, it’s hard to schedule an appointment, to get a hold on anyone in here. It’s hard to develop a relationship with a primary care doctor or any doctor for that matter because it’s seems like everyone leaves here. Have left several voicemails to schedule an appointment and have not been able to. I honestly think it’s time to find another place.

I went here for a free COVID test. The process to get the test was very easy, but it was difficult to get the result. I called the center 5 times and was on hold for a total of 60 minutes. I hung up and called a different line for the 6th time, and then finally was connected. I wonder if certain phone lines aren’t staffed on Saturday? I only called because I was unable to create an account online. I tried twice and both times I was instantly sent an email saying my request failed. The account set up had a phone line to call for assistance, but that line was an obvious fake, 555-5555.

Very disorganized process for free covid-19 test. No one is managing the lines. Very slow process to get registered, get the test and get the results. Test results take over 72 hours The day I was there two staff members came out to make an announcement to call to make an appointment for that day and register to speed the registration process while standing in line and I called the number provided and the person that picked up said they cannot do that & I needed to stay in line. Individuals with appointments made the line twice.

Do not go to covid testing here unless you absolutely have to. Check in woman seemed overwhelmed. The crowd management is dismal and I had to wait outside in the cold for an hour for a pre-registered covid test. One nurse was testing people. No signage- lots of confused people and poor social distancing. Some people got in the wrong line and had to start over. Some staff member tried to fix the lines about 50 minutes after I got there. So dangerous with covid and the lack of tests available in Boston right now.... Shame on them, I hope no one gets sick from their experience here. Also- they did not return their tests in the claimed 24-48 hr period and not before XMAS. YIKES.

They served the public with covid vaccinations out of Charles Street AME Church on Warren St. in Roxbury/Dorchester near my job which made it so convenient for me to get both shots right after work. Thank you so much Whitter Street Health! They were extremely friendly and gentle! 😀

If I could leave zero stars I would I have literally been a patient there since they opened and because my doctors are always leaving in end up being a “new” patient over and over again and told that the doctors are not taking new patients when scheduling appointments like what!? And when finally getting a doctor to see me I can’t be seen for 3 months???? How?? Seriously. Today I called and ended up speaking to a so called supervisor who sounded about 12 years old and was very rude and condescending. How is he the supervisor? He’s got zero manners to deal with patients who are upset. I had an attitude ofc after being transferred through all the clinics orange, green, purple and wellness he picked up with the worst attitude like this place went to hell seriously. No real care for patients. Why are they even open they flat out suck.

Before coming to this clinic I made a call on Thursday and said that I was coming for an emergency appointment, the receptionist told me that I could come from 8 to 10:30 am in the morning but how I like to arrive early this woman told me which was so vulgar and in front of all the patients he told me there is no appointment here for you and if you want you are going to wait until 11:40 in the morning because we only have 4 doctors definitely do not come to this place these people are not trained to The customer service sucks, 🤮🤮🤮🤮. apart from the fact that they made me lose my day of work, they treated me inhumanely.

My personal experience with Whittier Street Health Center has been an awesome one. When i call to make an appointment, they always send me a reminder that my appointment is coming up. My PCP Dr. Jasmine of the green team is awesome. I am glad i have her for my primary care Dr. One more thing WSHC is in a very convenient area just 5 - 10 mins from my home.

Good location.and potential to regain respect, WSHC lost two superior doctors since the age of Madame Frederica Williams (politically connented she plays them) which could be an assets to the community but will not with two pharmacies and disruption of.......

This health center has cause my mental health. When I was 3 years old my mom died when she was pregnant. The day before she died her doctor when on vacation and my mom felt something wrong, her doctor don’t worry about and the next day that’s when my mom died. This health center needs to do better

I've been a lifetime patient with Whittier street health center. I've been a patient through all the different changes and locations. The health care staff are kind, understanding, pleasant and compassionate. I depend on WSHC for all my medical needs. Like anything on life Nothing is perfect but the health center is a great warm and welcoming place for all in the community. I recommend Whittier to anyone seeking a community based health center that prioritizes top notch care and service.

Overall, would not recommend this place if what you are looking for is quality standard of care. I have made two telehealth appointments to follow up on testing done on my initial visit (which I had to fight for because my primary didn't think it was necessary to do even basic blood work which I hadn't have done in at least 6 years). At the timing of the first telehealth appointment, I was never called. I thought I was the one that messed up and was supposed to initiate the call but when I logged onto the myChart app the appointment had disappeared entirely and I therefore had no resources or reference to figure out what I was supposed to do or what was supposed to happen during the telehealth call. Almost two hours later I missed a phone call from my Dr attempting to call me and do the telehealth call, but at this point I was already at work and unable to speak. There was never even an apology to missing the original telehealth appointment time. Called back at my lunch break but could not get through to the office or my doctor. Later that night the appointment magically reappeared on the myChart app and I discovered it is the office's responsibility to call. Fast forward to today, I've done the same thing and scheduled myself to be late to work so that I could attend my rescheduled telehealth appointment. Yesterday the appointment was visible in mychart, today (day and time of the appointment) it has magically disappeared again. I called the direct line to the purple clinic and spoke with someone who said they would tell my doctor that I had called then they hung up and there has been no contact since. I can understand being busy, but having no respect for your patient's time or for scheduled appointment times without even an update or an apology is just very disrespectful and not something I would expect from a professional care facility. My experience with the blood work and imaging personnel of the purple center was very positive and professional, but I am much less satisfied with the care received from my PCP and the scheduling staff. I will be transferring providers as soon as I have either recieved my results or have confirmed they can be transfered to a new provider.

In this place, people's lives do not matter for Nurses, Staff and doctors. Please read this review and do not go there. Today 10/30/2023 I have been here in WSHC from 9:00 am to 12:00 and no doctor treated me. First, when I went back the urgent care office they have the nurse mentioned they do not PCP available in the office to provide me mu prescription which I do not understand why it’s no PCP in urgent care. Even though, they could see my infection. Then, she mentioned the only appointment available was at 1:45 PM However, she. mentioned I can go and explain my situation if somebody miss the appt they can treat me in the orange team. My experience going to orange team sadly, it has been the most horrendous experience I have experience in hospital ever. The staff on the front desk there they are 2 hispanic clear skin at since 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM these guys clearly laugh in the faces of the patients about the patients, this is including myself. I spoke with the female rep, she mentioned she checked me in already in case somebody misses the appt they would accept me previous to 1:45 PM. After 2 hrs and 30 minutes waiting, Nurse with super rude attitude mentioned is not my turn. However, she can back calling for a patient name who was not available I mentioned let me in because I can go in case a patient misses the appt. Rude she just knoced the door on my face. Then, she requested to the male front desk representative the doctor is not going to accept me after 1:45 PM. Even though, no patients, including my swollen finger and after lying to me several times. The nurse, was a brown-skinned, chubby lady with glasses. This is worst hospital in the area they sadly do not care about people.I am giving one star because the minimum that Google let me. In addition Management does not take any action because I put the description of the staff who did this and they do not do nothing. Also, I spoke with internal affairs the damage doctor Nizare provoked me and they did not do nothing.

We used to love to go to this hospital even if we live almost 25 miles away. Now I am going to the most horrible experience trying to get my parents medication refill. I called the pharmacy twice- no answer or hang up on me. Called the phone to refill , one lady took all the information and said the nurse will call( of course nobody call) . I called again 2 times the Orange team yesterday and left voice mail - nobody bothered to check. Today I called twice the direct line for Orange team and I can not leave voice mails. Poor communication and the worce service . Looks like the only way to get the medication is to go over there in person. I hope this will be the last time to walk in that building...

I called to setup an appointment via phone on Sept 8, 2023 AM time but the lady (looks Spanish from her accent) whom I talked to was not supportive and she disconnected the conversation without out fixing the appointment, so this is very unprofessional and mistreatment of patients. Happy to explain the situation further if you need. Thanks!

I'm Helen Dreher Credle a precious patient of Whittier Street Health Center for the past 78 years and counting of my life. Being a patient has been an "actual" life saving experience. I believe that the leadership of Frederica M. Williams has brought forth an institution of health and wellness that is creatively outstanding in its concepts and delivery of services. Services that are wrapped in a particular brand of special attention toward seniors and children. Being a Senior I can honestly say that Whittier's partnership with Boston Medical Center is a marriage made in heaven.

This is a one stop shop for all your medical needs. There friendly staff will be happy to help you with all your medical needs. The Dentist Dept. is outstanding and very professional, the Medical Team is Ready to help with all your medical needs. The Department that Stands out the most is Behavioral Health, they truly care about all your needs. You will be greeted with a Smile Each Time and the intake clerks are always Happy, Professional and Outstanding when assisting your Needs!
