Great hosts, they were very kind and offered us a nice tour around. Admirable the passion and years put into this hobby and the thought that they are sharing their beautifull collection with the community. We recommend to take a bit of your time if you are in the area and make them a visit.

Voi reda recezia doamnei Mihaela C., din București, făcută în nov. 2020, pe alt site, recenzie la care subscriu. "In this private museum you can find semi-precious stones, being the personal collection of Toda Family - passionate researchers who spent over 40 years in order to uncover such beauties from all over Romania. It is located in Criscior (next to Brad town) in an area known as Gura Barza. If you visit Brad and The Gold Museum (Muzeul Aurului) you should come and visit this museum also. The museum is open 7 days a week, from 9 am to 5 pm. Here one can find not only semi-precious stones, but also beautiful pieces of old petrified wood. The entrance is free and it takes about 30 minutes to visit it. During the tour one member of Toda's family gives you important information of the pieces displayed in each room. The museum has a shop where visitors can buy beautiful souvenirs and jewelers - this being also a way to support Toda's family and their researching efforts."

Mostly local and regional specimens, visitors can get a good overview of the region's geology through the agates on display. The collection goes decades back, beautiful specimens. Owner and hosts are welcoming, very friendly.

We chose to visit this instead of the gold museum and it was a wise choice. We were alone and although with a mask it felt safer. The privately owned collection was amazing and we got personal details from the owner. Visit the place...totally recommended.

One of the most emblematic museums of the Apuseni. Here you can see exhibits of millions of years of rock and part of the gold extraction from the Zarand area. It is special, fascinating, the work and seriousness of the Toda family made this stone museum unique, I say, in the whole world.

Amazing family work in the heart of the Apuseni Mountains. Either for professionals or just amateurs, this museum has something for everyone. You’ll learn a lot about geology and minerals from two very passionate people. There is no entrance fee but it’s highly recommended to stop by at the souvenir shop. Will always come back with pleasure :)

It is Toda’s family museum(based on aprox 50 years of passionate work); it has plenty of interesting infos about minerals and different (semi)precious stones; the guide was a nice lady(from the Toda family); it also has a small souvenir shop and it has no entrance fee. A nice surprise near Brad, after visiting the Gold Museum. Is displays amazing (semi)precious stones from our country and a few from abroad.
