As a volunteer at the museum, I really recommend going. It is absolutely amazing to learn about Canada's history. There is a little cost, but well worth it. With a knowledgeable staff, they will try to answer any questions you have. The museum's open house was on August 4th, it turned out awesome, you need to go next year!

Real hidden jem. The musiem is located in an industrial park so when your on your way you question if your in the right place... rest assured you are! Its a great representation of Canada's military history from our earliest beginigs to modern day. There is a collection of artillery, small arms and vehicals. What really seperates this place from other musieums is most of the exhibits are in fully functional condition! Beautifully restored by voulenteers. There are also impressive collections of models, uniforms and other millitaria. Admission is free but please leave a donation.

I can't believe I've waited so long to visit this place!! I took my son towards the end of summer as he's very into wartime vehicles. This place does not disappoint! As we arrived, we were greeted by a very sweet older gentleman whom you could tell was very informed and enthusiastic about the history of the place. All of the displays were very well presented with all sorts of very interesting historical facts. My son was really into the barracks that they have set up within the building. It adds a very realistic element in showcasing what soldiers actually experienced during their time of war.

A great little museum. We'll laid out with some really fascinating pieces. My only complaint is that it isn't bigger, but what they do have is wonderful to see. There are some great-wrenching letters and incredible bios to read. I really enjoy going there

I was amazed at how much history and artifacts were under this one roof. I had thought it was small, but Wow, there was so much there. I have attached some teaser pics that I texted to my husband from there, but this is a 'must-see' for history buffs. There is soooooo much to see and learn. Staff were very knowledgeable but let you go through at your leisure. There were also seats if you wanted to have a short break too.

Absolutely spectacular, this museum might not seem like much from the outside. But once you step in, you enter a whole new world, a world full of knowledge and facts. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they are willing to answer any questions and even give you some extra knowledge. The areas are very well organized such as trenches, artillery, naval ships, and much more. I seriously recommend this place, plus the admission fee is very cheap.

So glad we went to see the Canadian Military Heritage Museum. It is a treasure trove of information through extremally LARGE number of real artifacts, artillery, dioramas, the uniforms and badges used by the real military men and women in different wars. There are letters written during war, videos, actual vehicles, depiction of how they sent messages in war etc. None of them are replicas. We also get to know about our own Brantfordians who served the forces and gave life. All are in great detail and condition. Many thanks to Dave who explained us so many things with great enthusiasm making it so inspirational to us. my 7 year old son was totally engrossed too. The museum is run by passionate volunteers. As much as war is disillusioning to imagine, this place made us remember the great spirit of men and women and their courage to serve/sacrifice their life for the country. ****Should spend minimum 2 hours there. A must visit to history buffs and museum lovers. We will visit again next year.
