Sorry but not worth the money. Rooms are dark (told this was in order to set a mood!). Few lights in the bathrooms which is dangerous. Shower does not drain as the floor slopes the wrong way. Poor lighting to do makeup or hair. Poor location. You need an Uber to the old Town. Not much around it so you eat in the hotel and the food was not great. Not just my opinion as we were with 30 other people.

We came in Brasov for a weekend getaway and ended up staying most of the time in the hotel. Their Spa facilities are second to none in terms of cleaning,relaxation and hospitality. Everyone in the staff team went above and beyond to ensure we are taking cared for. They have an excellent restaurant, highly recommended massages and gorgeous romantic rooms. We stayed in one with a bathtub. One of the best hotels in Romania.

You are treated very nice in this hotel. Starting from the reception (everyone was so nice, helpful and profesional) to spa and housekeeping. The spa was clean, relaxing and enjoyable. The risotto from the italian restaurant was tasty. A mix up happened with our restaurant order and the reception staff did their best to make things right. I really apreciated that. They care about their customers. Breakfast was good. Sparkling wine, truffle butter and other premium options were available. Nice service at breakfast.

Stayed here In November 2023 during a one week business trip. The hotel aims to be a luxury hotel and for the most part it delivers on its promises. The rooms are quite big and spatious, the design is modern and well thought and it was all spotlessly clean throughout my whole stay. The mattress as well as the pilos were very comfortable so you won't really miss your home from this perspective. You also have a selection of lighting options in the room if you want to have a dim light option, for example. A generous range of good quality shower gel, shampoo and lotions as well as a generous shower space, walk - in type. The breakfast was also quite diverse in options and the coffee was good but had some dissapointing minuses as well and they could definitely improve on several areas and on the quality of the food served. The restaurant has a dedicated chef and aims to be a fine dining and the food was good indeed, but just over average and not at the level a fine dining restaurant should be considering the charged prices. Ive ate outside the hotel with less money and better food so this aspect should definitely be improved. The services and employees behaviour was impecable throughout my stay from the concierge staff to food and beverage employees so a solid plus here. To conclude, despite some dissapointments here and there, this is still one of the best hotels in Brasov and I would recommend it to anyone.

This hotel is great, large gym and spa. The only downside is that the rooms lighting is fairly dark.

We were incredibly impressed with the entire experience. Anca helped navigate a long day of traveling into a very relaxing evening. We asked to be placed in a quiet part of the hotel and we didn’t hear another guest until breakfast (which was exceptional). I believe this hotel should be 5 stars if it isn’t already.

We were on a short vacation in Brasov for the jazz festival and we had a great stay at Kronwell. Nice hotel, good breakfast and restaurant, nice and helpful staff.

Nice location - worth knowing the bar, spa and gym are not the hotel ones but separate with separate costs (12 euros for gym - when all great hotels actually have an inhouse gym). Other than that - great comfort for the price.

Excellent conditions. The design of the rooms is amazing and they are so comfortable that you don't want to leave the room. Excellent customer service (above expectations). Excellent desserts and swimming pool. And it's very close to the train station (don't worry, you will not hear any noise). Flawless experience!

Kronwell Brașov Hotel best location! 🎉 A very comfortable hotel, a little bit outside of the old town center, that could be reaced with a walk in 30 min. The hotel has big rooms and a classic modern ambiente. The guests are mix with privat, business groups.

One of the most premium hotels Brasov can have. Everything is simply impecable, with nice staff and good food. Very good location, easy to find just as you enter the city, a few 2-3 km. A very good location for corporate event, private events also or just to privatly stay for a night or two in tranzit, if you plan to visit the country. Love it everytime a get here. PS: dont forget about the SPA area😉

Very tasty breakfast. Smart room: problems with turning the lighting on and off, air conditioning. The TV didn't work and the staff that came couldn't fix it. Weak water flow in the shower. Fast room service.

I was here for a wedding so I cannot say anything about the hotel itself, this review will be for be food and service at the wedding which the hotel provided. The location was really nice, very well put together, th staff always friendly and eager to help. The food war really nice as well, there were 4 courses plus desert. Congrats for the groom and bride! My partner and I always come to Kronwell when we want to relax in Brașov. It is a delight to stay here. Really amazing. You always have a parking spot, people are nice, rooms are superb, extremely clean hotel, spa is nice. Super stay!

I have stayed in this hotel 3 times. I also gave a 5 star review 2 years ago, but things have definitely changed since the last time I visited. First, I almost broke my neck getting out of the car, because there was ice in the parking lot. I’ve stayed in hotels in Austria and Switzerland and not once did I encounter this issue. You should really make sure the parking lot is safe for your guests. Second, my bad, forgot my tooth brush at home and to my surprise there was none. Even the most basic hotel has disposable tooth brushes for their guests, so for 180€ a night, it was quite a shock to not find any. Also, last time I stayed here, you used to have products from Rituals, which were amazing, now, the products used where “meh” to say the least. Third, the food. What the hell happened? I was looking forward to breakfast, but one bite into my omelette and I almost puked. I didn’t think there was a way to ruin a simple omelette, seems I was wrong. Also the coffee, it used to be so good, now it was just some colored water with a hint taste of coffee. The Caesar salad I ordered with room service was ok, but very very salty, I believe it was because it was covered in a thick layer of parmesan cheese. The staff was very polite as usual, it was nice to see at least those standards haven’t changed. Also the room was very clean.

Stayed during our last conference. I had a lovely stay. The hotel is very clean. The location is great, it is close to everything. My room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, ample of choices. The dinner was great too! Will definitely stay there again if I go back to Brasov.

The staff is excellent, friendly and absolutely courteous. The food is delicious, massages delightful and overall the best place to stay while in town.

The lifestyle room is great with bathtub and top room facilities. Access to the pool and spa is included, it was a great experience.

Super big rooms with comfortable beds and an amaizing spa and pool, very friendly staff, they bring u hot tea and cookies and the location is great!!!! Is nice to wake up and see the train go by. I recommend this hotel!

Nice room, good food and amazing Spa. What was unpleasant was the Front Office team. There was a misunderstanding about the NYE, we payed 350€ for the the gala dinner where unfortunately we could not reach due to health problems. We didn't get any money back or even a discount. However, leaving the money aside, the communication was bad, a night before they informed us that the money will be returned if we don't go to the party so we didn't go anyway. As a summary, the room is good but take care to not get scammed. It was not about the money it was about the communication.

Went for lunch and I am happy about the options and the great taste. Recommend zacusca and supa crema.

The Wi-Fi is horrible… comes and goes, comes and goes. Light switches are too complicated to remember on a two night stay. Restaurant is fantastic, as is the breakfast room. Want to catch up and share with friends online in the few hours we are here in the room, but with the internet so schizophrenic, it is too frustrating to bother. I am sitting in room 501 now, and cannot sleep because I’m worked up with frustration.

Stayed here while on a Viking River Cruise holiday and as part of a pre cruise extension to visit Transylvania. The hotel offers large and comfortable rooms with super king beds, great bathroom facilities. The evening dining was great tasty food at super low prices for a hotel. The inclusive breakfast also offered a wide choice of options, cereals, hot and breads/cakes etc. Highly recommended 👍

We spent 2 nights at the Kronwell during a recent river cruise trip which included a land visit to Transylvania. The rooms are very spacious and modern, which we really enjoyed. We didn't use the hotel amenities but everything looked pretty and clean. We had a small incident where the housekeeper removed OUR pillow case but the hotel staff managed to get it back form their 3rd party laundry vendor within just a couple of hours and this was during their country's Easter Holiday... we travel a LOT and we thought the effort and coordination it took to get this resolved and quickly, was pretty impressive! The location of the hotel is about 1.5 miles from the city center which we wanted to visit on our own without our tour group. We took a share rider car there (for less than 10 Euros) and we walked back to the hotel. The ONLY thing that was an issue is the Air Conditioning. The room never gets cool enough.. there is a thermostat in the room but the temp never reaches the 19 degrees Celsius (about 67 F) which it is lowest it goes to but the room itself remains about 70 F which is too hot to sleep in. The staff sent maintenance to work on this but nothing changed, the AC for the building seems to be controlled in a central unit so the thermostat in the room seems to only be for show, and either the main AC is not set low enough to actually provide cold air to the room or it just doesn't produce enough cold air for the entire building. This made our stay a 4 star as it was not comfortable to sleep while hot. I am glad we were there in April as I can only imagine how hot it can get in the summer months.
