I don't recommend this place at all to anyone. The only positive about this place is the big pool and spa area. The rooms are old, old furniture, smells of smoke, dirty, wall outlets almost hanging out, the balcony was almost falling on us. We changed 3 or 4 rooms. In one of the rooms the door wouldn't lock, the receptionist gave us a different set of keycards (the problem was it wasn't locking not opening), the safes need a key, because they have no battery to change the code, the menu is poor. This is not a 4 star hotel, maybe a 3 star.

Disgusting experience for the amount of money they charge you. You would expect a luxury experience, but everything except for the building itself is beyond low budget: rusty metal parts in the bathroom, shower curtain that covers half the tub, resulting in large leaks of water from the shower, not to mention that when getting ready for the New Year's Eve event, I had to shower with COLD water. Restaurant is also subpar: old utensils, lots of plastic decoration and fake candles everywhere, and all of the workers are immigrants, not that I have anything against that, but that means they also went for the cheapest option they had on staff as well. Sound isolation is also bad, I can hear the little kids from next door crying better than the TV, which is also one of the cheapest TV's I've seen in a hotel. When dining at their expensive New Year's Eve course, we got some of the most laughable food I've ever seen from such a "respectable" hotel: wellington was one of the courses, and what we got was some puff pastry with a bit of mushroom in it, no beef. Making wellington without beef should be a crime, (the other appetizers were also bad, fried cheese that was so tough you couldnt bite it, etc) but moving on to the main course that we waited hours for, we got a small portion of turkey and pork, that were so overcooked and tough that you could barely bite them. The rest of the food was forgettable, and the portions were beyond small (which would be understandble if this was actually good food, which wasn't the case). I was expecting a night and dining experience I wouldn't forget, what we got was a throwback to when we had food parties organised by our secondary school. The interior pool is decent enough, but that's it. The pool walls are unmaintained, with small pieces sticking out that i cut my hand on, and the pool jacuzzi of course does not work. For the 2 hour duration I was at the pool, there was nobody staffing the in-pool bar, and when I got there there also was nobody at the entrance, so I had to help myself to the towels behind the counter. Some of the good things I will mention is that the breakfast is good, not amazing, but good, altough the selection is laughingly small. The building itself, not counting furniture and accesories, is actually pretty beautiful, so there is lots of potential here, but with the amount of wealthy middle aged to old people coming here that don't give a damn about price to quality, I doubt it's going to change. The location itself, is also pretty nice. You can walk from the hotel to pretty much any place of interest or restaurant in Poiana Brasov, but again, that applies to almost all hotels/resorts around here. Forgot to mention, the minibar in all of the rooms is completely empty upon arrival. Not even a bottle of water. In summary, stay away from this place if you actually care about the service and experience you get comparative to the money you spend. I expected my experience to be an unforgettable New Year's Eve, but all I got was a comical "F you" to tell my friends.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, furniture is old, spacious room, bathroom had a terrible smell, mold is everywhere, the curtains are dusty, not washed for months and never ironed. Breakfast is not at standards of a 4* hotels, low cost food, awful coffee, juices and water only at dispenser, croissant and other pastry was hard and tasteless. It’s a pity because is a big hotel with potential, with a nice view from the room, and they can do better.

I had a great experience at this hotel, it was clean, big swimming pool with a sauna and a great massage experience. The location is obviously great, it is close to everything with a big car park. You’ll be seeing me soon again.

4 stars wannabe. Room was big and that's about it. Furniture is old, 0 amenities. No room service. Only 3 plugs so if you want to watch TV and also keep the fridge on you are left with one plug. Good luck charging 2 mobile phones, a tablet, kindle, smart watch or camera. Hot water in the bathroom was hot after some 10 minutes. Also mold around the bathtub. Hairdryer doesn't work. Breakfast is okish. Staff is nice enough but they and the other guests don't wear masks and nobody seems to care. Food at the restaurant is ok but very limited selection. Restaurant was supposed to pick up last order at 21:45 but at 21:25 they said that they had closed for the evening.Pool was ok.2 stars at most.

A wonderful location for holiday, very relaxing mattress, huge pool with plenty space to swim with a bar next to it, massage , spa , dry sauna, wet sauna etc… Great environment, good employees. Plenty other places to visit and have fun around.

Very nice hotel. The lobby and reception area are beautifully done in stone. The pool and spa area are spacious. Close to activities, restaurants, and great views of the mountains. Fun family or couple getaway.

It was my 2nd time staying here. I like it, the rooms are really nice and spacious. I had a mountain view this time and it was amazing. Quite clean. It is indeed a bit outdated and old looking. A renovation would make it amazing. The slippers had the worst quality. The hairdryer didn't work properly. It stopped working after a minute The pool is my favorite feature, it is really big and nice. The water is warm. The spa is fine aswell. I had a bit of a hard time enjoying the pool this time because there were a bunch of kids jumping off the edge of the pool/bar/bar chairs, splashing water everywhere and on everyone. Despite the fact that it's forbidden...no one did anything about it. The breakfast is fine. Some new coffee machines with different types of coffee (cappuccino, cafe latte, etc.) would be highly appreciated.

This is the hotel where time stood still. But in the bad way. Furniture is old but let's say still functional. Bathrooms are a mess, with mold, rust and bad smells. Minibar/refrigerator is present but not working. TV is same. Balcony can give some great views but don't lean on the guardrail as you may fall. Cleanliness is also lacking. Restaurant is no way close to what a 4 star should be. Pool and facilities, plus the location is the only things that will make your stay a little better.

I do not recommend it.. For a 4-star hotel, this is a joke. The price per night it very high (850 RON/night) Rooms are very old and look like they were not renovated since the communist era.. It's more like a 2-star hotel.. + One unfortunate event was seeing people spitting on the floor in the sauna.. (camatari/ghertoi/cocalari)

Rooms are in bad condition, walls with stains, damaged furniture, bath room like in the 90s. Should be rated as 2* at best. But they have a nice swimming pool and good sauna. Not well maintained.

I would very optimistically rate this hotel as a 3stars. - old rooms with old furniture, but comfy matress - old terrace, dirty because of the pigeons - we asked for a cot and received a third adult bed, so we had to ask for replacement - no mini-bar - shower curtain was missing - breakfast was at best…ok. Now to the good good parts: - very well maintained swimming pool - very large parking lot - staff was friendly - very good location It has the potential of a 4stars but they have to invest in it.

Nice location, surrounded by the forest, mostly quiet (except for the uneducated tourists making noise in the night etc.). Despite a good customer service, this cannot hide that the hotel is outdated, in need for some renovation. Food is good, but not very hood or excellent. Big parking, good spa (but kids no not observe the rules, jumping in the water and making noise etc.). The design is very, very ugly, spoiling Poiana Brașov image. Not quite the quality you expect for your money.

There is no reinforcement of wearing the mask inside, to avoid Covid, as per regulations. ..and that's because Staff members didn't have/wear any! Not on reception, bar, restaurant, pool, nor the maids.

It is year 1999 atmosphere…. Big parking, nice view toards mountains/sky slope…. But everything is/looks old and in poor condition. The price asked is not correct for what you get….for sure not 4stars conditions.

The hotel is classic and pretty nice inside and outside. It has a big parking spot. It has wooden furniture. The location is great. With a great view. The rooms are large enough. Beds are comfortable. It's pretty clean but it can be better. I enjoyed the pool and the spa service. The massage, sauna were great. I also liked the food at the restaurant although the menu is not very diverse. The staff was also very kind. I believe the cleaning should be improved. I found dust on the furniture, some dirt on the carpet and on the curtain. Also in the bath there was a bit of a weird smell and the wc was clean but it has rust. The amenities were not very functional. Ie: there was water coming out on the floor from the wc, the hair dryer keeps stopping, the phone doesn't work.. the tv is very small and it has a bad quality image. The bath needs some redesign. It looks pretty poor and old. The pillows are so bad. They had big pieces of sponge inside and they felt very uncomfortable. Who is responsible with room service and cleaning doesn't do a good job. Doesn't clean anything during our stay and doesn't even prepare the beds well. The face mask is mandatory but in reality nobody properly wears it. The guests never wear it even at the breakfast buffet and a lot of ppl were coughing. But Overall I still consider it a good place for a relaxing getaway. Perfect for couples or families. You can't get bored because it has many facilities.

We've spent 2 nights. It was nice. The view from the balcony was gorgeous. Also, I loved the pool (very spacious). Breakfast was also good, various, good coffee. We had dinner once, not extraordinary, I would say.

Highly recommend the hotel. The view is amazing. Our room was on the 5th floor facing the town mountain. The staff is professional. The breakfast food has a variety of options; anything from traditional Romanian food to cereal. It's has a beautiful indoor pool.

3 stars: location, hotel lobby and apartments (these are spacious, pretty clean, have 2 bathrooms and at least one balcony with nice view - but they have old furniture and in one bathroom it smelled pretty bad) 2 stars: facilities, outside of the hotel, room balcony 1 star: breakfast is awful - very poor, food is cold, low quality products and generally does not look good Nothing resembles to a 4 star hotel. More like a 2.5, max 3 stars. Except the man who checked us in - who was friendly and had a nice attitude, other receptionists (2 women) were always on their phone and generally looked like they don’t care about anything. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Stayed there for Easter 2021 - 3 nights. Pool was closed.

nice position on top of the hill, big pool, large conference hall, fair price for the chess championship event, I'm not sure that it can be the same situation without the competition discount

Awful experience starting from the first day. 1. We had to carry luggage by ourselves. All we heard is “Sorry, we don’t have enough stuff”. 2. Old rooms like straight from 1990: old tv with tv cable (not Ethernet, not smart tv, real tv cable from antenna), fridge that is not freezing, bathroom is dirty. 3. They will change bed only if you remove bed sheets to the floor. 4. Dogs in hotel barking at 23:30 for several nights. 5. No laundry. You can’t wash clothes. 6. Restaurant has ridiculous working time. Breakfast is ok, but very limited. 7. Slow unstable internet. And finally prices are too high for service provided. Not recommended. Definitely not 4stars.
