This used to be my favorite trail to walk, but the fact that the horse stables use it to take groups on trail rides has ruined that. They have completely torn up the trail, even tore up the desire paths that people have made to avoid the horse mess. The stables should be held responsible for paying to level out the paths.

Very nice trails with amount of shade. You will encounter some road apples since the trails are used for horseback riding.

Lovely shaded walks. Close to horse stables so you might see groups of horse riders on your walk.

This area is great because it almost never crowded and you have beautiful surroundings to enjoy. For a simply beautiful walk in nature I highly recommend a visit. The water is pretty to look at and there are deer all around!

Lovely spot to walk around. Lots of garbage from where drivers throw from their cars. Sad.

Great place to take a walk, run or bike. Connects to plenty of other trails and is a good mix of types of trails from paved, gravel to composites.

Great place to walk or just take a peaceful break... Down the road from here is a place to ride horses on some of the trail, I recommend it!!!

Wait to go on these trails unless you have boots and you don't mind stepping in crab apples. Ice, snow, and mud so be prepared.

My old stomping grounds since the 80s. Love all of it & horses been around here even before then, to those who complain. They do have paved trails in the area if these are to messed up for ya! 😁

It's a nice place but a lot of people ruined it for everyone else with all the littering. It's a decent place to fish but nothing great. I'd recommend any other place over this one.

My wife and I walked both trails - the one that loops south of of 167th and the one which is north of a 167th (there is a tunnel that goes under the street) and takes you by the Midlothian Detention Reservoir. Both trails are excellent and covered by plenty of trees so there is plenty of shade.

πŸ‘ It's not as creepy and interesting as it was - now maintained and landscaped, grass cut weekly, no more wildflowers or vines. Some very rude tour companies have tours on many weekends and act like they own the place. Park across in Rubio Woods. The path to the cemetery is West of the big cell tower...
