I didn't initially want to go here, and was dragged by my spouse. It ended up being the highlight of our cruise stop in Barbados. The owner was very interesting, and gave an awesome tour of his factory. He was very well spoken and informative. He told us about each step of the process of creating his chocolate, and let us sample the chocolate at each step; from harvest to completed product.

Agapey is a great little ice cream and chocolate shop with a nice back story about an engineer turned chocolate entrepreneur. All the ice cream is made with coconut milk giving at a little tropical flavor but wow does it compliment the chocolate flavor well! Worth stopping in on hot day for a scoop or two 🍦❤️😀

Best ice cream I've ever had. Highly recommend getting some when in Barbados.

Owner was friendly but busy. Looked like a one man show. Machines all behind a window and really not much to see. Some samples of chocolate on display. This brand is available to also purchase in several places around Barbados. Also at the airport which is best place to buy to prevent risk of melting. Ice cream available at the factory location which was delicious. Not worth making special visit but if In Bridgetown visit.

Tasty chocolate! If you want a tour, book it ahead of time on their site. Sometimes they only do one tour a day as soon as they open! I personally enjoyed the dark chocolate with salted caramel. It did not melt too quickly in the heat, which is a great sign!

Don't want to overhype the place but the ice cream is definitely a must try. Even for someone who's used Italian gelatos of the finest quality, this was a real treat. The one scoop option was hefty, more like 2 and a half scoops so one to share between two was enough for us. Highly recommended. The coffee is also great here.

If you like real dark chocolate you're going to love this place. The shop smells divine and the chocolate itself tastes even better. I particularly enjoyed the coconut rum dark chocolate. Delicious ice cream as well. Would definitely recommend.

I don't doubt the chocolate there is fantastic, never got the chance to taste it. My wife and I stopped in with a friend, there was a gentleman there, he saw us looking around but our presence never acknowledged. After several minutes, we just left, maybe he had made enough money that day.

Oh my gracious goodness!!! One of the best chocolates I have ever tasted! Perfectly balanced, right snap, simply divine! And the ice cream there is a real treat!

Derrick is very knowledgable and personable. The entire process is well explained and much tasting is done. Money well spent. Quality chocolate at a reasonable price. Call to reserve your place in the tour.

Not too much to see in terms of chocolate on the public side of the counter (maybe cruise excursions get a tour), but their ice cream is excellent and most-welcomed on a hot day.

Did a chocolate tour here with Derrick. Superb very knowledgable chap, super easy going, very happy to answer questions. Very much a small outfit but really great to hear all about the process, try some of their chocolates and ice cream which were all delicious. All the staff were super friendly.

Highly recommend doing the chocolate tour! I registered on the website, which was a super easy process. The owner is very knowledgeable and professional. The chocolates and ice cream were some of the best I’ve ever had. The only downside was that there wasn’t any air conditioning except for a tiny room where staff were making the chocolate bars. I think it’s because it’d be too expensive. However, there were fans and lots of water available to help cool us down during the tour. When I asked a worker how to keep the chocolate from melting on the way to the airport, she recommended to put it in the fridge for about an hour before going. I hope that works!

Small ice cream and chocolate shop with 9 different flavors. I ordered chocolate which was delicious and had a deep chocolate flavor. Unfortunately they don't allow sample tastes so make sure to order what you like.

I love their chocolate ❤️ and also tried the ice cream. It’s very cozy at the factory. You can see how chocolate is made from the store. Very nice surprise in Barbados.

This is an excellent way to find out how chocolate is made! The origin of the cacao bean! Chocolate bars and a variety of ice cream is sold at the Agapey Chocolate Factory!

Really cool place. It’s worth booking a tour to learn more about chocolate production. Or, you can simply stop by to purchase some chocolates, ice cream or beverages and look around the shop. The chocolate is produced on-site and machinery is on display. Very unique addition to the town. Pricing is fair. Maybe schedule this towards the end of your day so that the chocolates don’t melt.

Worth the travel to visit this place. We tried every flavour they had but Banana and nutmeg, strawberry and mango our favourites. Didn’t even try the chocolate bars as weather too hot but ice cream made i trek back on a weekend to try our favourites again

We had just returned from the source of Agapey's cacao (Grenada) and let's just say that Grenada knows how to process their chocolate at a whole other level. In comparison to Agapey, the chocolate we tasted in Grenada was vastly superior in taste and texture, as was their ice cream. Agapey's customer service was also really poor, unfortunately - something quite rare to see on the island - and the workers seemed almost irritated by our presence in the store. This was their almond block of chocolate - pretty skimpy on the almonds. No samples provided and wouldn't even let us try the ice cream flavors. If you're heading to Grenada at any point - save your money for House of Chocolate in St George's!

We did the one hour tour a couple of days ago, and we loved it !! We tasted a bunch of different chocolates they make there, as well as ice cream, and bought chocolate bars at the end to bring as gifts back home. The owner is really passionate about what he does, and you can taste it in the chocolate which is fabulous.

Highly recommend the tour, have been on 2 others in Europe (Lindt in Zurich and one in Brugge) and found this more informative due to the demonstration of the equipment used. Got to sample plenty of chocolate and ice cream. Chocolate and ice cream is delicious and high quality!! Staff are very friendly too!

I had high hopes for this place before walking in. From the start customer service was really poor. When you order ice cream they even charge you $1 for an extra spoon if you decide to share. A chocolate or ice cream boutique is usually a place you go to enjoy and have a welcoming fun atmosphere. Sadly from the owner onwards they are far from being friendly. It seems more concerned with money than customer service. Hope it was just an off day and do better next time around.

Beautiful product. We visited as part of the Lickrish Food Tour. Worth calling for an Ice Cream, too.

Stopped here as part of a street food tour. Delicious ice cream made from coconut milk. Thoroughly recommend you try some!

It is more a shop than a factory tour unless you book the tour which was once a week. But if you are vegan or nearby worth a visit! Nice chocolate and great ice cream!

I ordered 1 scoop of the Chocolate ice cream, this was not a stingy scoop in my cup. Is was delicious. Non dairy. This was grately appreciated. Will definitely visited again.

A good tour. Perhaps a bit pricey but very informative. It was fun tasting all the different chocolates. The guide operator was very knowledgeable and answered everyone's questions.

Delicious tour, very interesting and informative. If you are a chocolate lover, you will be in heaven! I'm not a huge fan of chocolate, but this stuff was scrumptious!

The cashier, a young lady at the front saw me there waiting to be helped ignored me and she proceeded to bag money from the register while I waited. Finally she hurriedly answered my question about the dark chocolate's cocoa content then took my $20 inspected it, checked it under the counterfeit machine then continued the transaction for ONE chocolate bar that costed $11.75. Needless to say she did not do that to the other customers in front of me who were tourists of certain background . I guess they made enough money not to care about the treatment of some of their customers....totally DISGUSTING serivce...TRAIN your cashier to provide proper customer service to ALL types of customers... Im sure your products are great though
