Went to this beautiful hotel for the first time but unfortunately was disappointed with our meals. When I received my Caesar salad I straight away checked the egg and it was stone cold straight out of a fridge. Who does that with a Caesar??? The egg must be at least warm and gooey. My partners lamb curry was only warm so decided to take them back. The young man that assisted was amazing. When our meals arrived again my egg was warm this time but over cooked and I was then devastated to find their were no anchovies in the dish and very little dressing. What is a Caesar salad without anchovies!!! The lamb curry sauce was watery and very powdery in texture and taste. Lucky we had ordered a bowl of chips to share as I didn’t bother speaking to staff a second time. Best to stick with what they are known for. Next time we will try their steaks!!!

What can you say about an iconic location like this establishment. Clearly still delivering the highest of quality steaks. Cooked to perfection on the medium rare and medium options chosen. A wonderful meeting place with food and beverages at the best value for dollar spend. The support team were very cheerful and helpful. Making the all-round experience a memorable one. Well done to the current managers and the team members.

Not sure what the big deal is about this place. Came at a quiet afternoon time (Public Holiday). Family all ordered food, things missing that we had to query with them. None of the staff seemed like they wanted to be there (are penalty rates still a thing?). Their M2+ steak was pretty average with a high price tag. 1 was under cooked, the others were fine, but all 6 were cold even though it wasn't busy. Very small portions of sauces, and their salads looked depressed. I can think of a dozen places in Brisbane with better steaks, sides, staff and atmosphere at the same price. Won't be rushing back.

If you want a great steak, don't come here. Tough as a boot. That was a medium dry age rib on bone for $52. Wife's lamb in the lamb salad was dry, salad was nice. Only gave stars for the waitstaff, who was great, she offered my wife and I a extra drink each for free. You really have to look at who is the head of your kitchen, I'm surprised this is served to customers. No need a reply, we won't be back, alot of places elsewhere have you outgunned.

Waited 2 hours for food. At the 1 hour mark, asked for an update - said they’d get back to me. At 1 hour 30 min mark asked a manager - said they’d chase it up and were so sorry (no response) At 2 hour mark - still no food. Great location, everyone else had great meals and drinks, but I cannot comment on the food as i never received it.

Great bar code ordering system however the food and drinks weren’t so great. For the price for the steaks, definitely overvalued. I ordered a medium rare scotch fillet steak with Idaho potatoes and a green salad. I received a medium steak. We also ordered tequila neat. They brought it out with ice, they took it away and then came back with same tequila and was told neat is with ice but the server advised that he can take the ice out for us if we wanted too. I’m not sure tequila and melted water is the same as a tequila neat. However the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was nice.

A great historic Aussie pub and a beautiful building in itself. It was very busy tonight (Friday). There are quite a few different areas, classic pub areas, sports bar, leafy beer garden, a rum bar, several restaurant choices, etc. The the steak here is world famous, and deservedly so. It also has a really good atmosphere. You will enjoy your time here. Make sure you book if you wish to eat here at busy times.

The Breakfast Creek Spanish Garden is a revered Brisbane institution. However, the food and service in my most recent visit were outstanding. The beer was cold, the food was first class. The servers were friendly, attentive and kept glasses full of drink. The best part is that the decor never changes; and that is how institutions are protected.

Huge venue. Some atmosphere but nothing special. Nothing special in terms of views or aesthetics either. I wouldn't rush back, and if I do go back, it'll be with low expectations. Would not recommend to a friend. The food: Pork belly was dry and chewy. Dry rub steak ($48), meant to be a key menu item, was well overcooked & very underwhelming. Very poor for the huge price. The mushroom sauce was very poor, tasted out of a can. The coleslaw - I'd say Coles does it better. Very dry and dull. Pork ribs - tender but tasteless and bland. I would not pay for any of them again.

We ate at the Spanish garden side for a bit more of an intimate feel than next door. Service was great! Food didn’t take long despite being busy and steak was cooked perfectly as per our instructions! The broccolini however needed some lemon to cut the oil it had been cook in. This was consistent for all the dishes that had it. Overall the food was delicious though. Definitely be back to try more on the menu. I didn’t take a picture but we tried the salmon pâté and it was divine! 👌🏾

Terrible feed couldn’t have been worse if they tried. Oysters were off and so potent the surrounding tables were commenting. Chef said the oyster are seasonal that’s why they are like that hahahah. Steak came out and had the same texture as a rubber Matt. Caesar salad was ordinary with the chicken being under cooked. Definitely won’t be back definitely don’t recommend.

The Breakfast Creek Hotel located at 2 Kingsford Smith Drive at Albion is a French Renaissance style hotel with 5 bars including a Rum Bar, Steak House & Beer Garden. Some of the highlights of this establishment is that it has Bar games, wonderful Cocktails, live sports & live music, it also has great bar foods available. The Breakfast Creek Hotel has Wheelchair Accessibility Car parking, Wheelchair Accessibility entrances, Wheelchair seating & toilets are also on-site. My wife & I had the pleasure of visiting this magnificent hotel this morning, enjoying a great cup of coffee from the coffee, dessert & pastry bar. We then stayed for lunch to enjoy one of the hotels famous rump steaks that was so tender & cooked to what we ordered. The Idaho potato & sour cream, along with the fresh salad made the meal taste even more delicious! We were more than impressed with the cleanliness of this establishment & the wonderful Customer service that was provided by the staff at the Breakfast Creek Hotel. The Breakfast Creek Hotel dates back to the 1889 & has been through 2 World Wars, numerous flooding, but has always stood the test of time. One of the traditional things that people visiting the Breakfast Creek Hotel is to try a "Beer on the wood", you will not be disappointed. This establishment is one of the major attractions in Brisbane & is also a fantastic meeting place for anyone wanting to enjoy the a great selection of fine wines, spirits & wonderful craft beers & beer on tap. We can't wait to go back again in the very near future to once again enjoy a wonderful meal & a beer on the wood.

Great place for a drink with mates. There are so many bars with different themes so it almost feels like a mini resort when you walk around which is cool. We had a few drinks which were reasonably priced but didn’t try any of the food. Would recommend giving this place a crack for something different in the Brisbane bar/pub scene.

This hotel was very busy with lots of different groups and individuals, despite this the place felt roomy, We were a group of 70+ people. We had a set menu and the food was very good. The calamari was spot on. The chicken wings were good. The steaks and the brisket were great. Despite being so busy, the service was great. The bar service was friendly and fast. Definitely recommend this place for groups and individuals.

Try the 4X from the wood, that's the wooden cask, tastes great! I had Guinness there, very tasty but not cheap for a pint, $14.00, I had the T-bone steak, rare. Really tender and tasty. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here, you should go for the experience. I will go again.

Nice, well priced food. Great staff. Just not enough of them. Went looking for my meal at the kitchen 1/2 an hour after everyone else on the table had finished theirs and found it sitting amongst a pile of undelivered plates.. Our table was never cleared while we were there. If you order drinks using QR code you may get them or you may not. Management seems more interested in saving a dollar than you having a good night. Compliments to the kitchen for a fine meal!!

Parking is a nightmare. People parked literally in the driveway, and nothing is done. On a Wednesday night, there was a 45+ minute wait on food. And it still arrived late, over an hour. The ordering app automatically puts a tip on. Bold if there is no one actually providing me service, and the service I do get at the bar is someone more asleep than awake. Sitting outside, there were rats running along the deck. It's pretty shocking. Food is average quality and overpriced. Things have really gone downhill. My last visit to the Breakfast Creek. It's a real shame as it has been my steak joint for years.

This place serves the best steaks you can possibly get. First came here in the 1970s and happy to discover it's still going strong. Highly recommend if you want a great steak. Excellent wine list also.

Love the pub but would love it if you could supply the outdoor dining a fly ‘shoo away’ propelled gadget. Not the pubs fault but it was unbearable trying to eat the steak and we couldn’t get away quick enough. My daughter refuses to eat because of the flys - great food however love the steaks. I’ll always be down for a beer though but almost giving up on the meals.

One of the top 10 pubs in Brisbane. Certainly the number 1 pub for consistency in service, steaks and cold beer. Everyone who likes an old fashioned pub will feel welcome here.

Good food and drink. Terrible service, in my opinion. They couldn't even be bothered to show us to a table. Told us what number it was and then left us to find our way with a little point in the general direction. Won't go back.

The best pub in Brisbane. 10/10 food and service. There is nothing better then a schooner off wood. Any comments regarding overpriced are kidding themselves. Worth every cent this pub.

  • 2/5 Simon P. 3 years ago on Google
Very nice looking pub. Unfortunately waiting times for food was around 2x times what I usually wait for when getting steaks. Not only that, the chef must've got mixed up with how we liked our steaks. When received, my steak was well done when I wanted medium. The other steak was asked to be well done and it looked rare. I didn't bother letting any of the staff know as we were both very hungry and had waited a long time for them. Another thing that could really be improved was the service of the young man with glasses at the bar. In the middle of ordering our steaks he left to serve a man a drink who was next to us. Thought that was a bit rude. Also, when my grandma went up to get another drink for us a little bit later on, he ended up giving her a glass of ice with no coke in it like asked. Not sure what he was thinking. One other minor thing was the amount of flies outdoors, not really something that can be managed but thought i'd mention it anyway. Food was decent, but not worth the money in my opinion. Thank you anyway.

Brekky Creek lived up to it's reputation ... Our young waitress Tess was extremely helpful, friendly and her service was amazing ... The only down thing is that it is expensive but is worth the visit ...

Easy check in, clean room and good room service. We stayed for 6 days and it was well equipped for us to do some cooking. We also had a room with a view of the races and were entertained with that as well 😝☺️

Very popular, but a bit tired. Car parking can be problematic. First ate here in the mid 70s, apart from prices could still be there. Steak was OK without being anything special. Tried to order dry aged T-bone but we're out (at 6:30pm!).

The food is decent but everything else about the experience is poor. In the toilet on a Wednesday night there were 2 seperate pukes. Social distancing signs everywhere but no enforcement. People standing right on top of you everywhere. There are no low-carbs beers on tap. The service is unfriendly and our “booking” was basically pointless. We booked, them arrived and got told table 46. But 46 was full. We were them moved three times before we ate. The staff had no training, no care factor and no ability to coordinate guests.

Absolutely humming! I think they underestimated the amount of staff they needed for a Tuesday night after Christmas but massive shout out to waiter Luke! Young guy was under the pump but found me cutlery, chased up both our meals, was so apologetic even though it was all out of his control. A great team member that I hope is recognised for his politeness, grace and all with a smile while wiping the humid Brisbane glow off his brow. A true gentleman, thank you to all the staff !

Went here on the weekend for my mates birthday--safe to say we were not disappointed. The food was amazing, one of the best steaks I've ever had (if not the best). The staff were all great. Had a great experience here, I got myself a steak with mushroom sauce and garlic bread, would totally recommend, although the steak was a bit too over-cooked and chewy, otherwise, would go here again!

I used to be a regular at the Creek. It’s been 10+ years since my last visit after moving away. The improvements to the hotel are impressive. The steak itself was extraordinarily tender and sweet. The chilli sauce was the same. The baked potato was the same. The bacon sauce and coleslaw was different. Nice, but not the same as before. All in all another memorable experience and one I’d repeat weekly if I could. Thank you.

Well now what can I say about the Breaky Creek one of Brisbane’s oldest and in all the times we have had a meal there, can’t find any faults with the Meals or the staff. Beer off the wooden kegs. Great place for a catch up with family and friends. Great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff members and still reasonably priced.

Awesome place. Great choice of steaks from all over the place including Nolan meats private selection range. if your lucky they bring out a wooden keg of xxxx bitter. Doesn't sound great but when they chill it to zero degrees in a wooden keg it's absolutely amazing. Stuff doesn't even touch the side...

Went for lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel whilst visiting Brisbane. We needed somewhere dog friendly and this place was fantastic. We sat in the beer garden which had great atmosphere and the food was amazing. All of the staff were incredibly friendly as well, a nice lady from the kitchen even came out with a few off cuts of steak for my dog, so it’s definitely his new favourite place! Looking forward to coming back and trying out the rest of the menu.

This used to be one of the best places to get a steak in Brisbane. Unfortunately it's not worth the price anymore. I ordered a medium-rare rib fillet steak and it came out more medium well-done. Secondly there was a lot of fatty bits on the steak I got. A bit disappointing, considering the price paid for the steak. However the atmosphere was great and staff friendly.

  • 2/5 Pip M. 2 years ago on Google
Atmosphere was great but.. . Everything delivered except kids drink which when we went to chase was told that they aren't delivered and there 'should be a sign'. Waited 45 mins for a steak that was extremely overcooked and a drop of sauce. Sorry guys but did not live up to the recommendations 😥

I went here with my family to have a steak. We ordered porterhouse, fillet mignon and T-bone meats were not juicy at all and we could get only 10% meat tasty rest of tasty were burnt. I rated 2stars because beer and lemon lime was good. I would not recommend to have a steak.

  • 1/5 Darren D. 2 years ago on Google
This place has definitely gone downhill, it use to have amazing steaks. Ordered a medium rare steak which came out rare, my partner ordered a medium steak which came out well done. Would definitely stay away from the steak, maybe other menu items are good. Parking is also a nightmare as always.

  • 5/5 Matiria L. 2 years ago on Google
One of our favourites. First reason, it is dog friendly. As soon as we are arrive, a bowl of water and a friendly face is right there. All of the meals we have had are delightful but I MUST MUST emphasise, if you are a steak lover, it is cooked precisely how you requested. Amazing steaks, you do not need the accompanying sauce, except of course to dip your chips in.

Went there shortly after opening last Saturday morning with a small group of friends just for a quick beverage. Was met at the entry by a very frosty female member of staff who was hardly inviting. I hope her day got better and others were better impressed by her attitude.

Was recommended to visit here for the steaks and now I know why. Really fantastic meat and portion sizes. Would love to go back and try other items on the menu another time. The garlic bread would have been enough for me to leave and feel satisfied.

  • 4/5 Ruth K. 1 year ago on Google
An upmarket McDonald's. You know exactly what you're going to get, the quality is always the same and you always leave satisfied. We had the tomahawk for dinner with sides of chips and coleslaw. More than enough for the two of us and a treat for the fur baby at home. Steak was medium but seemed a little more on the medium rare side and not evenly cooked but the side of diane sauce was rich and silky. Worth the money.

  • 5/5 M M. 1 year ago on Google
Food is great. A broad selection of meat if thats your thing. The old school beer from the wooden keg is an awesome touch and tastes amazing. The original bar they have still running takes you back in time. Staff are good and the place always has a dense vibe

  • 3/5 Timothy G. 1 year ago on Google
Mixed feelings. Great building oozing history, well run and not too chaotic given the sheer size of the pub. The food was good but not great. The medium rare steaks were very well done around the edges - I’ll order rare next time! The Idaho potatoes were very dry and overcooked. Finally the sauces were thick, gelatinous and lacking flavour - honestly couldn’t distinguish it from the powdered ones you buy at the supermarket and make up at home. Surely places like this can be both big and still deliver a stunning steak? Plenty of good steak houses in Brisbane these day….tough competition.

Brisbane icon still going strong. My parents took me there in the 70s! The steaks are well known... The smoked ribs were excellent, and my son rated the chicken parmigiana "the best ever"!

Great steak!! Cooked well. Service was good. Beer was never ran dry before asked for another one. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is I Was so looking forward to shovelling down a big tomahawk. But unfortunately was not available.

  • 4/5 Akisi T. 9 months ago on Google
Excellent fillet mignon, always go for the medium rare steak 👏🏾 unfortunately the chicken burger was a little dry this visit, and I recommend the wedges over chips. Parking is tight, but I had patrons who were happy to point out their car spot when leaving. Otherwise, you'll have to find street parking. It's huge, so many areas to dine, dance, watch the footy if you'd like 👍 Recommend a stop in for lunch or dinner or just a drink with mates.

One of Brisbane's best pubs, it is a great venue with great steaks, beers, and cocktails. I go there quite often and generally go for their fillet, as differently from other restaurants, they offer a "tall" cut. However, with popularity comes a big crowd. Therefore, this place can easily become really busy and noisy. Also, it can be hard to make a reservation, and as a "walk-in" customer, enjoying a meal can become problematic. Finally, although there is a lot of parking, it can be hard to find a spot at peak hours.

I have not been there for about 35 years. The Steaks are still as good. All the food, entrays, seafood etc, excellent.👌 Staff are so helpful. Will definitely be back soon. Probably 35 days instead.👍👍👍

Quality of food is very mediocre at best (been a couple times now). Chicken parm is pressed chicken patty not real chicken breast and the pasta dish was absolutely disgusting. Oysters were VERY average. Steaks are not cooked correctly...waste of good cut of meat.

Pretty disappointed with the way the steaks are cooked at the breakfast creek these days. Coming from once the best place in Brisbane to have a steak to probably one of the worse from my experience last week. So so over cooked and not just mine but pretty much our whole table. It was sent back only to receive another which was just as bad. When you can go to your local rsl and get a better cooked and tasting steak it makes you wonder why you a paying $60 a steak at this venu. I am hoping it was a new chef or possibly the team was just overwhelm on the night but to be honest, it's a steak restaurant so I would assume they are up to the task of providing a good steak under any pressure. I will give it ago again and hopefully next time I can leave a positive review.

It’s taken me a while to finally get here and expectations were probably set a little too high. Table we booked was being used, beers that we ordered on the QR code took 20mins and food came out at different times, sucks when you are catching up with a group of friends. Mind you I can see why I have heard great things and feel like it was probably a one off thing! Food was cooked beautifully 👌🏼

Great food, Great steaks, Could use more options on the Vegetarian side of things and a few flys getting around, But over all nice place to go for lunch or dinner. Recommend booking a table on the weekends.

If you're after a great cocktail this is the place to go, if you're after a steak cooked the way you asked if suggest somewhere else. Both times visiting the restaurant my steak had not been cooked correctly and I've sent it back. Good break once sorted but service seemed a little out of by it.

Our server Darcy made the experience so awesome, he was witty and charming and his customer service 100% on point. I love places with good customer service bc it will keep me coming back. Food was perfect!!! Wine was beautiful and well priced.

Great old pub with lots of eating and drinking options. A very nice outdoor restaurant/beer garden, a great place for a burger, steak or seafood. There is a large outdoor screen, ideal for watching the game. Inside is the old original pub which is an interesting and historic, there are many old pictures tracing the history of the pub. Inside is the rum bar which has more types of rum than I believed were available, which includes another indoor/outdoor area which is ideal for parties/birthdays. Tip: Book a table, or you might miss out

30 years patronage never had a bad meal. But today first time unsatisfactory food for one out of 6. But then getting a cab was zero. Manager helped but should be easier. Brekky creek is an iconic place & modern day transport should cope.

What a stunning place, the history is amazing and we were lucky enough to see the wooden keg tapped that day. The mix between the old and modern is done so well, it was such a pleasure to walk round. The food was good, recommend the steaks. Will definitely be back.

Food was great. Service friendly but a little slow. Late Saturday afternoon, place was packed but I hadn't expected so many people to be eating. Iconic Australian pub doing what it does best. The steaks are amazing!

Recently hosted a work function at the Breakfast Creek Hotel and it was a resounding success! The venue effortlessly married its iconic, historic charm with modern amenities, setting the perfect backdrop for our event. The staff were attentive and accommodating, ensuring our every need was met from start to finish. The food was a highlight — an array of delectable dishes that catered to various dietary preferences, earning rave reviews from all attendees. The dedicated space for our function allowed for both networking and relaxation, making the evening both productive and enjoyable. If you're seeking a venue that combines character, culinary excellence, and top-notch service for your next event. Oh and the cocktails were delish!

Great old style pub, front bar and private bar are very much in the original style. Beer is cold and tasty. Food was tasty and service prompt. A very helpful and friendly young woman directed us to a table during a busy afternoon.

After waiting for 45 mins to receive our emails my steak was seriously over done and my friend had to wait a further 10 mins for his fish. Bar staff and wait people were lovely. One meal out of 3 was considered good. I haven't been here for ages but if this now the standard I will go back to the Norman. I responded to the Manager as requested but got no follow through.

Food outstanding, beer great, location excellent, staff wonderful. One downside was the woke prick whom questioned our validity at sitting where we were. Unfortunately there are those of our community who have lost touch with tact and general respect for our fellow man. I have enjoyed lunch with my two brothers, one of whom I had not seen for many years, nice spot aside from the above !!

Food was delicious and came out quick, however, it was a side dish for 2 people, not a main dish. I ordered the sweet potato and chickpeas, presuming with would come with other salads. It's really was just 2x whole baked with chickpeas on top 😳 It was delicious, but no one wants to eat just a plate of sweet potato and there was so much i couldnt even finish it (plus I was sick of earing just sweet potato). You can add extras bit then the meal is expensive and ridiculous huge and would throw half of it away. If they actually thought it through, they should offer a small (1x sweet potato) and large (2x sweet potatoes) along with a main extra (falafel, chicken, etc). Then that is a normal meal, not 2x sides of the same thing. I was there at 2.30pm (Friday) and every single table had a reserved sign on it, so it was strangely empty, but still some tables full. There were other people wanting to get tables, but couldn't. I think some of the tables weren't booked until 7pm. They could have a system and still use those tables as long as they we gone by 6pm, as there were groups of 6 people trying to eat awkwardly at the bar on a 3 seating table whilst there were 20+ tables empty. It was a weird atmosphere out the back for that reason. Overall though, beautiful venue and excellent service. So I would go back and order a different meal (or share it). And if I was eating with friends, definitely book a table in advance.

Had dinner at the Creek last night. Scallops, oysters and steak were all delicious. The only criticism would be the seafood was overcooked a tad but still tasted good. Service was awesome and we didn't wait very long for food or drinks. Great pub with a great atmosphere. 😋

Charlie the Barman is super awesome! He is amazingly attentive to everyone at the bar, knows who came before who, has a nice deep voice, but is just an exceptional person who is great at their job! Thank you Charlie for making my visit here so great, your boss should pay double what they pay you!

Shouted myself to the 300g eye fillet with bug topper. Bug was over charred and dried. Was lucky to be two teaspoons of bug meat in the serving. Med rare eye fillet was a little overdone but had no flavour at all. Not the way I remember the Creek steaks. Think our best beef is exported these days. 😕 This and a soft drink cost me $70. On the upside the staff were friendly. A work colleague had the same meal a week later and gave the same assessment.

I visited the Breakfast Creek Hotel while in Brisbane for a meal. A very good looking menu with many options to choose from. I had a T bone steak with vegetables which was cooked well. A satisfying meal.

Can’t order dinner unless you use an app which is a cheeky way to add more surcharges. Then the app has the audacity to ask for a tip (for what service?) which I know doesn’t get distributed to staff. The place is great, the staff are generally great but the ordering system belongs in a communist state. Edit. Whilst I’m glad to now know you can order at the bars, when I voiced my frustration to the staff I was told I could only order food through the app on that night. Glad to know it’s not the only option.

Made online booking as could not get any answer. Confirmed booking, tried three times to get through to amend booking as the booking system doesn't allow for any amendments. On the day of the booking finally get through, to be told unable to amend booking as it's too late! Spoke to a manager (waited nearly 8 mins while they found a manager) to be told yeah no problem. Service was not great. Had to ask for drinks menu as not provided with menus, had to ask twice for water. Staff forgot to provide cutlery for the mains. Had to ask twice for this, then one of my guests went and got it himself. Through our sitting we were only asked once if drinks were ok. Not at the level expected from this iconic steakhouse sadly. Food was good but again not at the level we have come to expect.

sunday last night, I endeavored to make a booking on line of a table and the web site stated that they were booked out so I phoned them and made the booking. The place was dead lots a free tables. I ordered a beer from the keg I was told it was the last one, they were correct it was flat and hot and when I requested a proper beer I was advised, they were out of stock of keg beer until Monday. The service was very slow and my t bone was over cooked. we will not be going back there soon maybe never, no keg beer what a joke

My husband and I have been coming to The Spanish Garden at The Breakfast Creek hotel since the 70s and have always enjoyed our steak until today. We ordered the rump 300g and the steak was so tough I could barely cut it. The meal was also missing a serve of coleslaw. We had been looking forward to a famous steak and sadly we were let down.

Had beef brisket that had the consistency of Silverside. Large chunks of fat that had not been rendered. Should be removed from the menu as they clearly do not know how to cook good smoked meat. Also had dry rib on the bone. And it wasn't as tender as it should be and was tough to eat. Food is only good for dog food.

Steak was cooked as I liked it, though I would have preferred mash & vegetables instead of chips & salad. Atmosphere was great, a very lively place for a get together or work Christmas dinner as we were having.

It’s a nice pub in a good location but is let down by a few things which is a shame. There is so many flies, you have to cover your drink and it really puts you off eating here. We were here a few months ago and it was the same, so it’s been ongoing for some time. At busy times the service can be poor, with long wait times for food. For positives, they have a decent beer selection; the pub is big and plays live sport on a big screen which is good; the location is good.

This is a place i have wanted to visit for a while now and to me it didn’t disappoint. Yes the steaks are a little dearer but no dearer than most places. The drinks prices are on par with most places too. But both my steak and my wife’s steak that we could view in the window in the kitchen were cooked perfectly. I couldn’t ask for any better. If you want to whinge about the price and get cheaper steaks then go to Woolworths and buy their minute boot rubber steaks and cook at home yourself.me i will go back again without a problem.

Great way to start the New Year with lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel. Staff were awesome and accommodating. Our original table was wet upon arrival after the morning downpour and we were moved to inside the bar area. Our meals were great, steaks were cooked to perfection and meals were reasonably priced.

Great steak! Rib fillet was cooked perfectly, baked potato best I had in a while and peppercorn sauce was thick with good flavour . We were in Spanish Garden on a Friday evening. Our food came out in good time.

Disappointing Experience at Breakfast Creek Hotel I recently had dinner at the Breakfast Creek Hotel, and unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. Our visit took place on a Saturday night, just after 7 pm, and the issues began with the seating arrangements in the Garden Bar. Upon entering, we were instructed to find a table anywhere in the Garden Bar. However, our efforts to locate a suitable table for our group of six were hindered by the fact that nearly every available table had a reserved sign on it. We managed to secure a table after spotting one where customers were about to leave, only to discover later that it had quickly been marked as reserved after being cleared. This tactic, presumably to limit new customers from dining after 7pm, was frustrating and seemed to prioritise reservations over accommodating walk-in patrons. This significantly impacted our dining experience, leaving a negative impression from the start. Moving on to the menu, we were surprised to find that the prices for pub meals were quite high. Given the cost, we expected a higher level of service. Unfortunately, the staff appeared indifferent, lacking the expected friendliness and enthusiasm. A welcoming atmosphere and attentive service are crucial elements, especially when customers are paying a premium for their meals. To add to the disappointment, we overheard a fellow diner complaining about rats under her table. This raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the establishment. A dining experience should be enjoyable, but this incident added a layer of discomfort and unease. In conclusion, the Breakfast Creek Hotel fell short of our expectations in terms of service, pricing, and cleanliness. Considering the overall experience, including the rat incident and the high cost of meals, I regret to say that I won't be returning to this establishment. It's my hope that the management addresses these issues to ensure a more pleasant experience for future patrons.

Incredible waitstaff! Who are attentive and considerate. The environment is really nice considering how hot they must be! My only issue was the oyster kilpatricks, dry, cold and lacked Worcestershire sauce, $100 for two dozen! Was expecting a little better! But other than that, loved it!

Good place for steaks. Displays where you can see the various available steaks before cooking. Ate in the Spanish Garden with high tent covering and overhead fans, which kept the temperature good. A bit of a problem finding parking Friday lunchtime.

Amazing steaks. Several in our group rated them 10/10. While the steaks are great, the poor levels of service leave a bad taste. Service was a real letdown. Disinterested waitress, didn't introduce herself or say hi, had with too many tables, only took drink orders from some and not others. Several people had no drinks when we were ready to order. Then bread came out and they missed half the group. Had to ask for bread. After the meals asked for cake with candle. 30 min later asked again what happened to the cake? and was told it was misplaced but now coming. Need some serious training for front of house.

Very busy place But staff were amazing and professional finding us a table without a booking after we had driven a fair way from down the coast. Meals were great. The only thing would be more parking.
