TLDR; AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Okay let's start with the good. Food is not half bad and the staff are friendly. And the Bad: * understaffed/mis-managed. For the amount of people ordering take away bowls or sushi, the lunch time rush, they only have the 2 wait staff (1 stuck on the cash register and 1 organising take away). * no table service. Had to sit myself. Not one chance of being able to order any drinks. Not being able to order anything from the menu either. * dirty tables, plates and sauce bowls left by previous patrons, soy sauce stained tables with fish eggs that are so hard to pick up * empty train. Be prepared to stare at the Train for the same plates over and over and over again. The kitchen staff even takes some plates from the Train to fill in take away orders. * no variety. When they finally kind of filled the conveyor with plates, all the same as the previous plates. Non of the more common and popular plates like the avocado mini rolls, mini tuna rolls, etc etc. * I said the food was not half bad but avoid the deep fried sushi as they are so soggy and oily. Written on the board "Can't find anything you want? Ask one of our friendly staff". Yes friendly, where are they? I've never or rarely given 1 stars but this place deserves a 0. Even if they sold thier sushi for $1 I wouldn't come back, or even mention this place. Actually, will actively tell people to avoid this place. I really need to change my "try this place even though it has a bad score" view on places. Appalling.

The servers deliberately avoided eye contact when we sat down, so they wouldn't have to serve us. They weren't busy either (only 3 customers). Extremely obvious. Some staff were on break, so they sat around the sushi bar yelling to each other. Then, perhaps in an effort to make the customers even more uncomfortable, they pumped out loud Chinese pop music through the overhead speakers. Seriously guys?!? The food itself was semi-okay, but the experience was well and truly ruined. Oh and did I mention it had a strange odour? What a disaster of a restaurant. Do not eat here.

Tried this place today, cause i'm around Mater Hospital. And its cool, they have a sushi train! Hihi the Takoyaki, is recommended.. (it's loaded with calamari/octopus..) and its tasty.. the California Roll, well i should have ordered the smaller ones, cause it was too big for me.. i guess next time, i'll be back! #nasanKaJJ

Food was ok but we almost walked straight past. No real signage and the front area outside the door is filthy. For a business out the front of a private hospital precinct one would expect it to be clean.

I went to get something to eat yesterday and the place was absolutely filthy and it smelt but I was starving and had to get back to my child in hospital and also thought they mustn’t be that bad if they are right outside the mater hospital. Someone else walked in at the same time as me and quickly walked out again and I should have done the same. The service was poor and I’ve honestly not seen a place so dirty. Today I have woken up with diarrhoea and a sore stomach! Avoid at all costs!!!!

My daughter is in hospital to recently abdominal surgery and is struggling to eat. I walked down and purchased your upon noodle soup. She demolished the whole thing. The plus half of mine. It's just what a sick child needs. Hot; fresh and yummy soup.

Tried this place. The portion size of the rice is really little . Perhaps half of the bowl . However the fried chicken is nice

I did my four-week placement in Mater hospital and there were not many choices for food. I craved for asian food so I had no choice but to go there. The food was just so-so but very expensive. If the prices are just $6-7 I will be fine with the taste and quality, but it's not worth to pay more than $10 to buy food which is this kind of quality and the portion was very small. I had Crab Stick Udon Noodle which was $8.5 (the cheapest main dish) and it was not even enough for me. The soup was tasteless during peak hour. The environment was just so-so and the sushi was bad but even more expensive than Sushi Edo. I hope more restaurants can open around the hospital.

The sushi itself is nothing amazing, but it's okay if you're hungry (totally not worth the price though). The staff however are pretty rude and don't make an effort to talk to anyone. The customer service is horrible and there's hardly ever any food on the train so you do need the help of the workers, however that won't do much as there are no menus so it's really get what you're given. Tbh, just make the short 10min bus trip to sushi edo for some life changing sushi with amazing staff.

Waited 30 minutes for my food, just for someone to come out and tell me they didn't have what I wanted. Whats the point in making me wait if you don't have what I ordered. Whoever the short employee at the drinks is there, seriously needs to pull his head in because he obviously isn't doing him job!!

Not many choices in the hospital and was very late for lunch. Walked into this place and didn’t feel right-messy, filthy and unhygienic. Wondered how it could be just right in the well known private hospital. Gave it a go as many hospital staff were eating there, but ended up with a regret for buying food there.

BACTERIA INFESTED CAMPYLOBACTER CHICKEN!!!!!!ZERO STARS!!!!! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN! - I WAS HOSPITALISED! How greedy and irresponsible can you be selling OLD CONTAMINATED FOOD to people who's family and children are in hospital. Took into my daughter who was having treatment in the Children’s Hospital. 14 days later and two lots of antibiotics, time off school and work we're finally feeling better, after a hospital admission due to Camplyobacteriosis infection from Hana Sushi poultry (sushi chicken rolls). THE RESTAURANT IS FILTHY AND SO ARE THESE PEOPLE RUNNING THIS DISASTER. GOD FORBID THIS FOOD GOES TO ANOTHER ALREADY SICK OR PREGNANT PERSON AT THE HOSPITAL. THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR ANYONE.

Very old sushi with stale rice and slimy raw fish that is extremely expensive for what you get. Lazy, apathetic service. The staff initially looked at me like I spat in their face when I asked to pay (it's not worth money) for my food. Why do you own a business if you can't even summon a modicum of respect for your customers? I won't be going back. I went to the chemist after I ate to get a broad spectrum anti-parasitic treatment just to make sure they didn't poison me with their unappetizing, old food.

😠 Food & Cocktails were absolutely amazing, however, the lack of service forgetting a soft drink for one of the children at our table, and then forgetting a burger for one of the adults, is unforgivable.
