We held our engagement party at The Mix Bar. I wish we could rate well above 5 stars. We used the outside area and it was just stunning and was set up to accommodate our guests so well. The customer service provided by the staff was absolutely amazing- in particular the owner, Mick. Nothing was too much trouble. Could not recommend this place enough, we will definitely be having any future functions here!

We had our daughters 21st Birthday at The Mix Bar and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. The venue itself is stunning and we had an outdoor and indoor area to enjoy the night. Mick the patron was fantastic to work with and so very helpful and accommodating. It was an amazing night and was way above our expectations. If you are looking for a venue for a birthday or gathering give this a go. No deposit, minimum spend and you can organise your own catering. So easy and effortless !!!

Wonderful bar right near the Gabba stadium This is one to watch with the Olympic Games coming up In a decade! This will be right at the heart of the action! Very good offering s I appreciate heritage places!This was formerly the Woolloongabba post office It would have overlooked the railway goods yard s now it it will be overlooking the new cross river rail soon to open

Thursday evenings, a great night for music. Ideal place to listen to Jazz music. Good selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. Would go again to venue.

Meet here with friends and owner is great and has great atmosphere in there friendly. Due to do events there soon.

Love the ambience.. they have really kept the true vibe of the old Post Office era.. the staff are fantastic, love the selection of wine and spirits and there is a cool one man juke box, Lone Wolf, who plays Friday nights. I love this place.

Eye-watering good drinks. Beautiful setting, beautiful staff, spectacular beverages and all right across from Gabba busway and bikeway. Amazing for functions, parties, any kind of shindig, really. Iconic Brisbane outing, not to be missed.

We held a birthday party here and the whole process from beginning to end was amazing. Mick was endlessly helpful and always available for questions in the planning of our event. On the day of, we were able to set up in a timely manner, and all the staff were friendly and courteous. We had a wonderful time in a stunning venue. Cannot thank Mick and his team enough!

We held a 30th birthday in the laneway area of the mix bar and a terrific night was had by all. Mick was great to deal from start to finish and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The laneway space is well set up and much bigger than expected. We could not recommend this place highly enough for any event or get together.

Went for the "Dining in the dark" experience. Definitely something different! Food was excellent and cooked perfectly.

I DJ'd an event here at the MIX Bar tonight, and all I can say is WOW!!! - It was a huge crowd and Mick and his crew were OUTSTANDING!!! - On our side, we had a few special requirements with regards to setting up the sound system and photo-booth, and Mick went above and beyond happily re-arranging furniture to suit our needs. With regards to the event itself...He had plenty of staff onboard particularly behind the bar. Their was virtually no waiting to get served and the crew were very friendly and all looked like they were happy to be there. The food was abundant and came out quickly. Mick generates a positive friendly environment for his staff, and it certainly shows in their attitude...As for the building...Well...It's heritage listed I believe...and is absolutely stunning. WELL DONE TEAM!!! - I look forward to doing another event there....Pete

Excellent stylish rustic modern venue. Manager Mick is great. His staff are fantastic. We had our wedding reception there in the Heritage Room and it was perfect. We were able to get our own caterer. The cost of venue was free. The only thing you pay is for cleaning afterwards (which is really cheap). Can't say enough good things about this place. We've decided every year on our anniversary to go back and celebrate..

The Mix Bar Team recently hosted our Engagement party and from planning through to the end of the night and pick up the next day Mick and his team were exceptional. We could not recommend the venue more highly for your event. You have to organise catering but Mick has had most of the food trucks in Brisbane there and he is well versed in a variety of catering options! Wonderful venue, wonderful group!

Great little bar with very friendly staff. We attended a private function here. The food for the function was ordered in from somewhere else which wasn't fabulous but the bar itself was decently stocked for spirits and staff will make whatever cocktails you desire.

I have attended an event here before and it's a beautiful space with attentive staff. Enquired about my own event which unfortunately I wasn't able to proceed with but the inquiry process was simple, easy and efficient. Highly recommend.

Mick and the whole team are amazing and the venue is stunning. The laneway section was the perfect place for my birthday of around 50 people. I could not recommended this venue more. So accommodating and a great spot.

Mum celebrated her 70th birthday at this beautiful venue. What a fabulous night! Mick was delightful to deal with every step of the way (so patient!) and everything went without a hitch. Thank you so much.

Attended a friends party, great venue, parking can be challenging but worth a visit, nice ambience. Not sure if open for everyday punters as 3 parties taking place at different areas on site. Plenty of room little cross over of party guests. Only one drawback is one toilet downstairs.

Hosted my daughter's 21st here last month. What a hidden gem! Fab art deco building with beautiful details and pristine! LOTS of space inside and out, aa they also have a gorgeous garden bar. Highly recommend if you want something a bit more upmarket, but without the crazy price tag. The venue Manager tales great pride in the space and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing was a big deal and the staff were so lovely. We self catered as there is no kitchen onsite, but lots of great options to bring in food trucks etc Highly recommend!

5-star service here! I went to a fitness event in one of their event spaces and the manager, Mick was amazing! He is so friendly and accommodating and really made the event a success (on top of the event sponsor at Tranquil Skies)! I was only an attendee at the event, but chatted with Mick during the post drinks portion! It's such a fun location and the laneway has such a great vibe! The drinks were cold and the music was fun! Definitely going back here, especially as you can have food DELIVERED! Total score! #Tranquilskiestribe
