We were charged 5% on our order, for a reason our server couldn't explain and nothing on the menu stated a 5% charge, only a 0.5% surcharge. Our meals were okay but the pork knuckle was bone dry and tough. When I asked for more gravy, I was told I would need to pay for it. We were given this tiny cup of gravy for a 3 person platter? Service was lacking.

Ordered the ‘all you can meat’ Firstly, when we initially when we walked in, the waitress told us we can ask for refills. But throughout the night, they said we couldn’t order more and limited us with one refill. It didn’t make sense to me, the concept of ‘all you can meat’ be restricted from ordering more. The other issue is, it advertised as German sausage, but they incorporated these cheaper versions of sausages that didn’t taste great and honestly just there to fill up the plates. Otherwise the pork belly and the wings were quite good and the sides were pleasant. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, but they shouldn’t make it an ‘all you can eat’ if they limit you from ordering.

This is a difficult one. The staff were friendly, we had some issues with the food not being very good. We spoke to the manager and he was quick to do his best to rectify the situation. But in the end for the price we paid the quality of food was not there.

Food & service have improved over the last couple of years.

This place is awesome, the staff were happy and helpful and the food was great value for money. Was so yummy and Decent size, usually schnitzels are tiny but not here. Definitely keen to come back 👌🏻

Came here for lunch and a drink after a movie. Really blunt and disappointing service, when we arrived which was surprising because the place was empty and they didn’t have anyone to serve. The salad my mum ordered though was a disgrace, expensive, bland, and looked like it was out of a discounted coles packet. $23 for a few slices of over cooked chicken, on a bowl of lettuce, packet noodles, dry shallots and onion with pepper and oil. My mum isn’t the type to complain about food and she was starving but when she couldn’t finish the meal I asked her why. I’ve had great experiences from The Bavarian chain, but the service and food quality here was just not good.

This is a great find. The food is fantastic. I do love ordering from our table through a QR code, it does make it easier and you don't feel rushed. The decor is fresh and inviting with friendly staff. The wait for food was quick. I'm always abit iffy about burgers because I've had some bad ones, but this burger was amazing, the meat pattie was the best.

Come to this restaurant for years so thought will give them review. I have never had spatzle with cheese and this one is amazing would risk saying even better than original spatzle. Munich platter 5stars was very nice. Beer really good too . Totally satisfied.

Got the feel of octoberfest meal and it was amazing, the pretzels were nice and buttery. The pork was super juicy and tasty. Would 10/10 recommend the Mac n cheese croquettes, customer service was amazing. Best I’ve had in a long time. My friends and I will definitely be coming back.

Amazing g service and the food is out of this world! Money (staff member) was the most friendly and helpful person we have met in a long time he was excellent from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, making excellent food suggestions and being generally chatty and fun. I took my wife for birthday dinner, and the food and service was brilliant. They gave my wife a free snaps, which was lovely. There as an error with the bill, new staff member, but was corrected with no hassle. Less than $150 for food and drinks. We were extremely full, and cheerful.

Have had lunch here a couple of time and they have always been amazing at catering for dietary requirements. The food is always fresh, delicious and arrives in a timely manner by a smiling waitperson. Seating gets a bit hard if you are there for a while and it is noisy inside when crowded so we generally like to be outside but still a wonderful place to eat and relax

It’s a very big turn off when I got my plate with the grilled prawns taste like it’s been dead for very long time. And the waitress served only one set of cutlery while we have 2 sitting on the table. Very ignorant…

Probably won’t be dining here again anytime soon. The level of service has well and truly deteriorated, not sure how you can justify the exorbitant service fee. The only positive was that the service was fast. And we managed to get smiles out of one or two people. Weren’t offered water. Weren’t offered side plates for 3 people when our share meals came out. Was overcharged when ordering at the bar by an employee who couldn’t be less interested in working and who didn’t offer us a receipt on a $150 experience. There were about half a dozen employees working in a not so busy atmosphere and not one person stopped to ask us how our meal was or if we needed anything else in the 1 hour we were there for We then noticed the family beside us who’d just sat down also picking up on things. Dirty table, dirty cups etc. The food was mediocre - salad & pork belly was good but knuckle was over cooked, we ordered the Munich platter and I regret taking home leftovers based on this quality, ended up giving it to the dog. Looking at the previous reviews - the manager seems give the same replies to anything negative but not much has changed in some time, clearly there are internal issues that need to be addressed.

Our family went here last month for a special engagement dinner. The staff were beyond amazing and the food was even better!! None of us were disappointed. Great service and great food. Shout out to Money for helping the night run so smoothly for my brother’s Engagement plan.

The parmigiana chicken was OK. The grilled chicken was dry, not tasty. The place was not full, but waited a bit long. Needed to ask twice to bring us drinks.

Some of the best service I have ever had. Everyone here was awesome (a shame they couldn't close the door a bit to keep out the cool breeze). Food was great, but do yourself a favour and get a pretzel. Outstanding.

Am pretty sure these guys make most of their money from the Bar, bcos the food is absolutely disappointing. It looks good visually, 1 star for that. But the taste is pathetic, the schnitty was barely seasoned and u could smell the old racid oil, i couldnt even finish my chicken burger. Ambience is good, the drinks are pretty standard… honestly u cant really go wrong with that.

Went for dinner after a long time, because the last time we went the pork belly was lousy. This time, the German restaurant didn't have pork knuckle, how does that happen. Excuse given was that they had just put it in the oven and it would take 3 to 4 hours to cook, it was 7pm on a Tuesday night. Nice try, but please, you're lying. Most of the staff struggled to speak English, and didn't have a clue about the menu, the specials. We did go on the 2 for 1 snitchzel night, and they were good value for money and cooked well, we also tried the pork belly and it was cooked well. The restaurant is hot, and we found ourselves sweating, no obvious airconditioning or fans to circulate the hot humid air. We would go back, but ring prior to see if pork knuckle was available and probably go in winter.

Good service with good deal, we come here and see the $35 deal for all-you-can-eat riblets. The food is so tasty.

I ordered some version of a pub schnitty. The crumbs were crispy and the chicken juicy. Heaped generously with rocket that somehow flavour balanced with the lemon and tasted just so good paired with a bed of crispy potato chips. This good serving didn't come with sauce but honestly I don't care. I was hungry and didn't leave disappointed - particularly because I paid only $20 for it. You'd spend that much at Macca's and walk away hungrier than you arrived. Go fill the stein!

Orders have to be made through the website and 11.5% surcharge is charged for this. Food wasn't great considering the prices (and even moreso with the surcharge). Mistakes were made on orders by both the kitchen and the wait staff. Finally, their range of beers is poor at best and many were unavailable. You'll get a much better experience and meal at almost any suburban pub;. The Bavarian Chermside is relying solely on their name.

Good food, good range of beer. Great ordering system only fault I can find is the service charge? Card charge when paying? And a Tip which is optional of course but why when there's no waiter service except for delivery of food and drink as it's all done by you on your mobile! Other than that it's good for a meal especially the pork knuckle!

Nice place and staff were excellent. Loses 2 stars simply because I was so looking forward to the pork knuckle but the crackling was leathery and fatty rather than crunchy. If it's a signature dish it should never be served sub par

A rating regarding the beautiful staff you have! After shopping most of the day I stopped in for a drink and some lunch. After 2 cocktails I decided to order a meal not realising I had selected the wrong thing. When my meal came out to me I was disappointed. Upon conversation we realised that I was the one at fault. This however did not stop the staff from rectifying the situation. Making sure I got what I originally intended and making my experience more enjoyable. Caleb the manager was quick to fix this as I got the meal I wanted with in a minute of my complaint. Bruna was very helpful in assisting me with my questions and was polite and friendly. Courtney behind the bar was very helping in helping to navigate threw the order system. Glowing review for the staff and just general joy to interact with. You've got a great set of hands on your team!

The ordering of the meals without a hard copy menu, is different to say the least. If you are over 40yrs and not tec savvy it will be a challenge. We ordered 1 x starter and 2 x Stitzel with mushroom sauce and 1 x extra mushroom sauce ($4:00). Plus a beer and sparkling water. The drinks came out in three minutes, GREAT. The starter arrived 10+ minutes later. Then as I was breaking the pretzel bread to dip in butter the mains turned up, about 10 minutes to early. And kicker the extra sauce wasn't mushroom sauce, just plain gravy. Before we say anything the waitress was gone, it took a number of attempts to get someone to stop at the table to get the replacement sauce. I had nilly eaten the meal, while trying to ask where the sauce was before it turned up. The stitzel I had was a bit over cooked my wife's was PERFECT. With the way you have order and pay for the meal up front on your phone, you have NO chance on getting refund or discount for the poor service from the kitchen. All of the front of house once the they had heard about the muck up with our stater, and sauce. Where very apologetic. What ever happened to good old fashion service. All you hear is, this is the way of the world now due to covid

Large or should I say huge meals! Be aware, we were sitting away from the music but our decibel meter showed consistently between 81 and 103. The Schnapps is pretty good but be aware that they can get messy with staff spillage. Tables have attached long benches for seats. Like how orders are placed via QR app. The cocktail with the lychees is yum

Attended for a group gathering of 16 or so. Level of service was spot on and the staff were fun and engaging. We definitely had a great night.

The food is good here, I still think it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. The portions are large so you won’t go hungry. Beer wise it’s great. There is something for everyone here. What annoys me is the the service fee they charge. It’s absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay extra if you pay with your card. Especially in a restaurant like this. The other down side is that they came with one of them mains, then 10min after with the entry and 15 min later with the second main. When we dine in, we would love to eat together not in seperate occasions with entry half way through and on top of that pay extra for the pleasure of paying with my card.
