Overall it’s always a nice dining experience to be there.

ZenSushi is a very safe choice if you want to it good Japanese food everytime you go there. I go there regularly and tried a lot of the menu. The menu is extremely varied with a great selection of all kinds of Japanese dishes. The prices are adequate for the quality of the food and not too expensive. They have multiple locations throughout Bucharest and all of them uphold the same standards.

Extremely expensive (we paid 200 lei ~ 40€ for two people) for quite bad quality. The sushi was ok, but I also got the tempura veggies and it was not good. It was tasteless and with a lot of oil. If you want to eat sushi, you will probably pay the same amount but make sure you go somewhere with better food. Also, the music is really loud on the terrace. Staff was really nice and helpful.

This is a disappointment for the japanese food culture. The ramen tastes like a cheap romanian soup, the meat in it is so hard and has a weird texture whatsoever. If you want good ramen or noodle based food AVOID this place. The deserts are mediocre. I ve been served some refrozen cheap ice cream... Waste of money. It wasn t cheap at all.

The ramen was quite okay but it was not authentic. They serve kind of “Shoyu-Ramen”, soja-sauce-based broth. But the Chashu meat was good but: 1. In japan the pictures on the menu always show the ingredients. Seaweed salat and nori were missing (see pics) 2. The egg was not half cooked as in every authentic japanese restaurant and in Japan aswell. It’s not just different cooking style, it’s wrong prepared. But there are more cases in europe like this. 3. The egg was not pickled in soya-sauce as usual. This is wrong prepared as well. I would bet that the chef is not japanese. The service also seemed to be overstressed. I waited 25min for the bill.

The ramen I had was okay, the sushi set I had was tasty. The bathroom was clean. The oranges for the fresh I drank were sweet, so I enjoyed it deeply. The staff was great and listened when I asked for a double sake portion in the same pot to share with my friend. The place is small and private, but overall I had a good experience.

Fancy place and good food. The place was almost full when I’ve been there with my little baby.

Sadly we had to get takeaway because covid restrictions left us with no place to sit (unless we could handle sitting on scorching chairs under the 30+° sun). We got over this rapidly especially since the staff was so friendly and trying to help, but it was disappointing to find out the pork ramen I had asked for (twice) had no meat at all. The food was fresh and we had no problems eating it, but the supposed pork ramen had different ingredients from the usual recipes japanese chefs use, verging a tiny bit on what Wagamama offers as chicken ramen in the UK (corn, broccoli and a different ‘rooty’ smell, similar to ginger but not quite). The chicken katsu curry had a nice size and generous meat, but the sauce tasted more like maggi/other flavour enhancers rather than real curry. An overall alright experience with small things that made it uncomfortable; I have to repeat though that the staff was extremely nice to us and attenuated the visit’s negative sides. I’ll try sticking to the other japanese themed restaurant down the street though.
