I believe that a review of a hospital should reflect the quality of the medical service, not the parking price, the waiting time or the surrounding shops. Therefore, the review summary for Ponderas Academic Hospital is not trustworthy, this hospital is far better that 3.2 stars. The staff is well prepared, very kind and capable, starting from the nurses and ending with the doctors. The hospital facilities are modern, the hygiene is primordial, the whole medical process is well scheduled and followed by everyone. The doctors work by the highest standards, they meet up in boards and find the best protocols for everyone. The accommodation and the food are great, the whole experience was similar to what you can get in western countries. The prices are fair, they inform you about all the expenses before the procedures, the whole Ponderas experience was perfect. Thank you for everything, thank you for setting the normality bar where it should be.

This place was very disappointing. I wanted to visit a nutritionist and Ponderas came highly recommend. Well, itโ€™s bad. Firstly I made the appointment with more than one month in advance as there were no free spaces before that. Then the meeting only lasted 15 minutes and costs 363 lei, the equivalent of 75 Euro. This is a huge sum when you take into consideration that the doctor never gave my a nutrition plan, although she promised to do this in no more than 7 days after the appointment. When confronting the hospital in an email, I never received an answer. I do not recommend going here.

I have NEVER had such an awful experience in my entire life, never from any private network that I have visited I want to rate minus stars. 3 hours I waited for someone to take a look at my daughter who is 2. For 3 hours people were coming in and leaving and myself with another 4 5 patients were still waiting in what is supposed to be an emergency room. There was no emergency, all the children were having flues and colds and there was no waiting line, you could not understand who is next why and why the person that came after you is just going in and your child is still waiting. Itโ€™s unacceptable, I would complain to the skies for such a ton of incompetence and what they call an emergency room with 1 doctor. They were 3 receptionists but 1 doctor in the flue season in again private network were you pay everything. I would have gotten better treatment in any state hospital. NEVER coming again and nobody should in that place. Just to sum up after 3 hours I simply gave up and went back home because my daughter was hungry and she could not stand it anymore. Absolutely shameful.

Bad experience, wasted money, doctors that treat you like you're less than human. I went there for a colonoscopy, ignoring the bad reviews and comments on the internet. Doctor Doras Ionut is to be avoided by any means. His lack of empathy and arrogance stunned me as a patience in pain. I was not informed about the available sedating methods and after the procedure begun, as I couldn't properly undertake the pain, the doctor simply decided to cancel the investigation and send me home. There was zero attempt to solve the situation or to sedate me properly. After a 24 hour preparation for the colonoscopy, they simply decided I should make another appointment. However, I was charged substantially for their mandatory covid test. So now I have to get new papers from my doctor and repeat the whole preparation process, being charged again for the covid test. Also they are bad with the needles, my veins are purple. And they didn't even apologize, making it look like it was my fault.

Came to a hospital because my child got 40,1 temperature. After an hour sitting in the emergency room came a nurse, measured temp. again - it decreased to 38,5 (as we gave Nurofen at home) and left as in a queue to wait. In 3 hour we were 1st in a queue, but nobody invited us, after that appeared 3 more "urgent" patients. After all, we spent 4,5 hours waiting for a help and went back - with 2 y/o child and high temperature. If you want to come somewhere to die - I'd recommend this place.

My review is only related to ER: when you go to the ER of Ponderas Academic Hospital you will be treated like in any other public hospital. The only thing that is different is the price. They do not care about you and the only thing you will hear will be: "you need to wait because the doctor is not available"... And you will wait... Hour and hours. Non-medical employees do not respect the procedures and will let you wait alone on empty hallways. If you are a public person or a Romanian politician or a star, they will treat you 100% different. So, my conclusion is that they are a truly academical hospital only for politicians or public persons, but everyone is paying the same price.

Reception staff are uneducated, rude to all patients, to those before me and after. They cannot even do the most basic service - a receptionist! I don't want to know about the work done by nurses, doctors and management. Regina Maria, overall, in all its clinics became the worst medical service provider in Romania. They are even worse than the public hospitals, they reversed to all communistic behaviour, practices of medicine are sub par, at most mediocre. Why they are still functioning makes no sense.

More than 4:30 hours of waiting at the emergency room and I still have almost two hours to wait for a simple ecography. Same experience as in any regular hospital in Romania. The only good thing is that it's cleaner. Medical staff contradicts each other in front of the pacients, and have a horrific attitude overall. Avoid if possible!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! AVOID THIS CLINIC!!! The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, it's amazing the amount of money that the hospital charges for the services they provide. I really think it's a way better option to go to a state owned hospital if you don't have an emergency case.

One of the worst emergency hospitals in bucharest, please never go here, receptionist does not understand emergency, takes her own sweet time...does not care at all about the patients situation, doctors are practically useless, they cannot diagnose anything, they just give you IV and injection with pain killers. First time I thought may be I just got the wrong doctors or was unlucky but second time got the same treatment, I would say that the state emergency hospital at Stefan cel mare is much more better than this, it will be little slow but atleast you get good doctors who know how to diagnose and solve emergency situation.

We arrived around 3pm, waiting time ~70 minutes in the emergency room. My child was vomiting, while other children were sneezing and coughing. To my mind process of sorting patients could be improved. We were lucky to meet a good doctor, she examined my baby and gave recommendations, answered all my questions in English, the nurses were nice too. They took necessary blood tests and gave intravenous medication. I think we received high-quality medical service. Long waiting time is the only drawback.

Had emergency for heavy pains for my daughter of 14 on a Sunday morning 5AM. Not a good timing as no specialists were present and had to be called up from home. Against extra payment, of course. And that's how it felt: once you enter for an initial diagnose you feel jumped upon by a pack of wolves and before you know it an accountant presents you with 10 pages to sign and a hefty bill of 5 numbers, with no alternative presented in the process. Of course you sign, it's your child, but leaves a bad abused feeling. Besides the long waiting because of Sunday schedule i guess, treatment, appendix operation, care and catering was fine but at a cost.

Avoid emergency room at all costs. The waiting times are crazy long while the personnel are enjoying themselves like they are in a bar not in a hospital. The lady receptionist has no empathy even though she's working in a freaking hospital. The doctors are the same, lack of any human feeling.

I subscribe to the comment saying to avoid the emergency room for adults at all costs. The personnel seems to be there for any other reasons than consulting the patients, i.e. drinking coffee, discussing make-up, etc. I was waiting in the emergency room, with an emergency, obviously, and the doctor spent 20 minutes, beside me, discussing about face lotions and having fun. The children's emergency room is totally different, the doctors in there are doing a good job.

Avoid the emergency room. The waiting time is huge and the staff attitude is exactly the same like public hospital. Nobody cares about you and everybody is busy with something else except your problem. The only difference is the huge bill

Visited the ER with my child, registered and got a number. 1.5 hours later we haven't moved one position up. It is same (or maybe even worse) than a public hospital ER. I gave up and went to a different private pediatric hospital, less than 1km away, got my child consulted and diagnosed, all within one hour.

A private clinic like you would see in India!! Waiting for my appointment, I see patients on foot or in wheelchairs going about. They are in hospital gowns and quite naked. The clinic would obviously not have the decency to provide them with robes or a sheet for those wheeled around. Some walk pass holding there iv stuff in one hand. It feels dehumanising! While having my colonoscopy, a woman stands behind the doctor staring; I thought she was a nurse, but no... she was a cleaning woman!! You feel like you are in Africa! If you have a health problem, better book a flight home or to western Europe to receive proper care. And you'll find it also a cheaper option!!

My husband had his appointment, however when we arrived we learned that there is no appointment scheduled on his name. The most frustrating part is that the lady who was called by the receptionist to handle the situation tried to convince us that it was our misunderstanding, and we did not have any appointment instead of simply apologizing for the mistake.

Yesterday, 11.03.2024, we arrived with our 11-month-old boy at the guard room at around 16:30, we were picked up and registered at triage at 16:41, with about 5 people ahead of us. At 21:00 we managed to leave the hospital with a simple consultation, and the recommendation to "continue to do what we have done so far, because that is good". The reason for presenting to the emergency room was a possible lung damage resulting from a viral infection. In approximately 5 hours of waiting, the child excessively accumulated nasal secretions that made it difficult for him to breathe, due only to the long wait. In the approximately 5 hours spent in the hallway, only after our insistence, we were invited into the first office, only to be kicked out of the office on the grounds that "an emergency has come, where did you come from?". The reply from a doctor who collects a good part of the already exaggerated amounts that we were paying. Later we were taken over by another doctor, who performed a basic consultation, and recommended two tests, an antigen and an exudate. I asked the doctor for someone to aspirate the child's secretions because breathing was getting harder and harder, and the answer of the nurse who had to do this operation was: "it will cost 150 lei". Basically, we are put in the situation where we have to pay huge sums just for the lack of time management staff. Overall one of the worst experiences ever at a hospital that wants to be considered premium.

Had 2 surgeries here. Clean, staff was very nice but it was expensive. Can't comment on the price but I guess you can't put a price on quality. Not saying it's perfect but I think the current score is a bit extreme, it's not that bad and the staff is quite helpful.

I went there with the child for an operation of polyps and tonsil reduction. Dr. Udroiu was very professional, managing to communicate everything very clearly. During the hospitalization, the nurses and nurses were nice and made sure we had everything we needed, even at night. The only minus was that I had a reservation without windows, which made the stay a little more difficult. Otherwise cleanliness, big room, bathroom very ok.

For nothing security camera and subscription with service likeโ€ฆ You cannot rely on the private system if you need a check-up on the spot, as their on-call doctors only come when called to the hospital, on "on-call" for the sum of only 800 RON. You get sent to the state hospital for everything else, so don't bother trying them if you have a broken hand or something.

An absolutely terrible experience! We went to the emergency room with an 11-month-old baby, we waited almost 5 hours, which is absolutely unacceptable for a private hospital, and when it was our turn we were kicked out of the office because they had an emergency. I mention that when we arrived, there were less than 10 patients before us and none with an emergency code... They have some exaggerated prices, considering the waiting times and the conditions offered... I would not repeat the experience for anything in world!

My name is Iuliana Popescu and on 03/05/2024 I was admitted to Dr. Vlad Predescu for total right knee arthroplasty. I have other operations but with the lack of modesty he is an exceptional doctor, with a lot of trust, security, empathy towards patients, my life was in your hands continued by the hands of god. On the third day after the operation, with the moral and physical support of the physiotherapist Ciprian Nitu, I managed to walk alone without a frame Also, Mr. Ciprian is a professional with a lot of dedication, patience and experience in what he does. I don't like to play with words, but I thank the doctor accompanied by the team of therapist assistants, good health and achievements in the profession. the operation was done to academic ponderas with the mako robot Thank you!

I can't give one star because I would. Pediatrics is pitiful as are reaction times, too few staff for the volume of children arriving at the emergency room (doctors and nurses do their jobs professionally, but they are simply suffocated). 7 hours spent in the waiting room until they internalized my child, 7 hours and 3000 RON. Terrible management.
