Great atmosphere here at Zao restaurant. It was a pleasure to stay here. We liked the most the umbrellas that gave an authentic look overall. Regarding the food on the other hand, I can say that it was good but not thes best here in Bucharest. It could be better in my opinion. The rice was not how it should be, a little bit undercooked and the vegetables were a little bit undercooked as well ( and were frozen, not fresh). The beef on hot plate was good, nothing to say. But the other type of beef ( with oyster sauce I think) was overcooked and the beef was hard to chew on. The prices were ok. Overall, I don't recommend especially for the food, but for the atmosphere.

As a globetrotting Asian craving for Chinese cuisine in Romania, I would say the dishes I ordered were 5/10, not really authentic... like many fancy Asian restaurants across Europe, foods here are kind of adapted to local taste buds. The soup was undrinkable for me.. the other dishes were not really aromatic too, not really flavorful and spicy as it should be.. However, good service and good vibes, otherwise it would be a 1 or 2 stars.
