The best tacos that I’ve ever had! They are made in house, cooked fresh right at the moment of ordering. Also the toppings are tasty and combine percect with the different seasoning. The fries were also super good. Reminded me of my younger days when I was a kid and my grandma was frying entire small potatoes in a stove. Atmosphere also very calm and relaxing, staff super polite and professional. 10+

Best tacos in town. Those with smoked beef and those with shrimps, my favorites. They even make their own tortillas out of Mexican corn, using the very traditional Mexican method. Also, they also make their own hot sauces from dried out chiles.

I love this taco place! According to my taste buds, they are, without a doubt, the best tacos I have ever had :) Regardless of what I try from the menu (old or new/in season) it is just delicious! Their vegetarian tacos are just as delicious as their meaty ones. Always a struggle to decide what to get... and figuring out how to only grab just 3 tacos, not six or nine or more :))

AMAZING FOOD! AMAZING DRINKS! The “Tacos with sweet potatoes & macha” is a true hit. The “Paloma” is something totally different from anything else I ever taste. You have to go there and try these two! Bonus: the interior designer knows its job. Managed to do a great thing from a very small and crowded space. They even over-did it with the “Mex atmosphere” - they could put the AC on a higher power so the temperature will not mimic the Mexican heat. Did I mention the food is great? P.S. I heard that the tortillas are made from real Mexican corn, brought from Mexico and grown in Romania… such details set apart great places from the rest.

Good taste and high quality ingrédients. It’s a bit on the expensive side - that is way the 4 star only. The location is new and nice, but it’a a bit mixed styles and vibes so you’re not sure if it’s a mexican place or fancy ‘Herasteau’ restaurant. Nice service, extra points for having Nemteana beer. It would have been nice if you could order ‘mixed’ tacos with 3 types to try more. A bit dissapointing to see the Green certificate was not checked.

Absolutely delicious tacos - some of the best we've ever had. Especially the bean taco and the shrimp taco were outstanding The friendly staff that served us said that they grow their own corn and press their own tacos each day. Their attention to detail really shows and the taste was amazing. Highly recommended

The food was great. We couldn't make reservations so we had to wait outside until a table cleared(around 10 mins). The patatas bravas were a little lackluster(had patatas bravas in Spain) because they were only salted, no other condiments, they were served with a good sauce though. Cocktails were good and large, I got the Strawberry Margarita and my friend got the Paloma. Very good, would recommend and would luke to try the other tacos.

Thr food, the place, the atmosphere, the staff, everything was amazing! The place looks beautifull , cozy and has a nice touch with hanging spices. The food is delicious and made with care and attention to details. The people that work there take good care of their clients. They are a happy warm bunch and professional. I'm honestly having a hard time thinking of a better place than this in Bucharest.

The best tacos I've had outside of Texas! I'm guessing Mexico has better tacos, but they probably should. The freshest and highest quality ingredients makes the flavors pop. You can tell that they don't cut corners with commercialized stuff. My personal preference is that there should be more coriander/cilantro, but I do understand that some folks have food sensitivities where it tastes too metallic for them. So I guess that's acceptable. Not too spicy either, but Romanians aren't big on spicy hot. I'm sure they have hot sauce somewhere, but never asked because they taste too good. A must stop for 'Mericans in the area! Except on Taco Tuesday, because unfortunately they're closed. Taco Marți apparently doesn't have the same ring to it in Romanian. Anyway, go try it for yourself! Or don't, just means more tacos 🌮 for me!

This small restaurant serves the best tacos I've had in Bucharest. The one page menu is enough since there's something for everyone there - shrimps, chicken, vegetarian etc. The prices are low for what they're serving, the food is great, the staff are friendly. Worth a visit. Look them up on Instagram for better quality photos of their delicious food and probably an up to date menu.

I’ve been looking forward to trying MAT’s tacos. For about a year or so… and let me tell you that the long wait was worth every second. Without a shed of doubt, this is the best taco place I’ve been in years! Brilliant menu, excellent service and cozy atmosphere. Cannot wish for more! Will definitely come back.

Best food I have experienced, hands down. The gentleman serving us explained the fresh ingredients, down to the corn imported from Mexico and ground into masa on site. (I come from Arizona, near the Mexican border and this places blows the restaurants in America OUT of the water.) Almost alone worth flying to Bucharest. :-) OH, and try their homemade ice cream. Mmmmm.

The beef tacos were the most appreciated even though they were a little bit spicy for my taste. I liked the shrimp tacos, very light and refreshing. The Paloma cocktail was an explosion of taste - sweet, salty and spicy - so good! The place is small and has a cosy vibe, it would have been perfect if the bar stools from our table had higher backs, it was a little uncomfortable after a while :)

MAT is probably the best Mexican inspired food spot in Bucharest. Although usually very crowded during the weekend, you can still get their tacos fresh very quickly with delivery. You should also be mindful that during rush hours the waiting time is at least 30 minutes if you don't order ahead. The service is very good, friendly and knowledgeable abou the food they are serving. And what else is there to say about the food? Extremely good tacos, fresh, quality ingredients and they cultivate their own corn for the tortillas. All in all a very authentic and tasty experience. A must for beef taco lovers

The food is amazing. The taco shells are made in-house, the meat is cooked to perfection and the toppings are simply delicious. I highly recommend the smoked beef tacos.👌 You can taste the quality in every single bite.

The staff were very considerate, like helping out and making space for a wheelchair and explaining what's on the menu so it's understandable for everyone. And the waiter told us about how the place was made by the kitchen staff, it was nice to hear a background story about the place and the taco's were delicious! Would recommend

Although it is located in a quite non pleasant part of the city, the experience was great. The tacos were amazing, especially the beef and the lamb one. The margarita is also tasty and flavorful. Also, props to the lady there for being friendly and welcoming. 🌈

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely little spot. Or at least make an order and try them at home. You will not regret it! The food is absolutely amazing, the kind that you come for and dine in on a Friday evening and order it home on a Sunday. My absolute favorite are the fish 🌮 tacos. Amazing experience every time we come back.

Very good dining experience. The offer of tacos is quite diverse, different types of meats and also some with vegetables. They are quite different and very tasty. The potatoes are also great. Nice service, nice place, nice music. 5 stars for food clearly, overall I remove one star due to a combination of factors : kitchen is close and can be noisy, prices are high, reservation is not possible. I plan to come back.

Cozy place serving really good tacos. We've had the ones with crispy fish, the ones with sweet potatoes and the ones with cauliflower. Didn't manage to take other pictures, we were really hungry. The patatas bravas are amaziiiing, i think they're fried in fish oil or something like that, cause they're very good. The stuff is also very friendly. Will be back to taste the other tacos. 😁

As a native taco eater I can say that this is the best place to really know mexican tacos. Handmade blue corn tortillas + Delicious dishes + Great service. Great job, MAT!

First of all, the only picture I managed to take for the review is my Margarita because all the tacos we ordered disappeared in 5 min and we ordered a lot…they’re the best tacos! THE BEST! My favorite are shrimp, fish and beef..OMG! This feeling when you’re full and about to explode but you can’t stop eating. Service was really good and fast! The only tiny problem is that you cannot make reservation and you have to wait in the line outside. As Romanian winter is kinda cold it would be great to have few heaters outside and limited time of staying in restaurant (e.g. 1,5 hours) as some of the visitors are not considerate and spend a very long tune just seating in chatting while others are waiting for their tables). Otherwise, great place!

Amazing experience :-) I had the vegetarian Tacos with fried beans, fried potatoes and white wine. Very friendly staff, clean restaurant, good food - not the cheapest way to eat, but definitely worth it. I surely can recommend eating here!

The tacos are just amazing, highly recommended. Simple food, not a lotof ingredients but made very well and taste great! Since I was introduced to this place by a good friend I've came back every week. I'd recommend the fish taco which is my personal favorite.

They have such a great variety of tacos, fresh ingredients, tasty desserts, one of the best margaritas I’ve enjoyed, the design is so raw and blends perfectly with the concept of the restaurant. I am salivating thinking about the meal I had here. The menu is short and hits the spot. Me and my friend tried the beef, it was full flavoured, marinated it didn't need much on the side, just the squirt of lime that they offer. Second thing we tried was the vegetarian option, beans and flavourful sauce, really good. Then the fish ended our endeavour, tasty marinated onions and tasty fried fish, really juicy. The beef was the best but all the food had personality. A bit pricey for my personal budget but I am still going back when I get the chance. Some of the best food I had tasted in Bucharest, the vino Verde (Young wine) was perfect as a light drink, refreshing and a proper experience.

We wanted to try this food place for some time, and yesterday was the time for it. We were lucky since one cannot do a reservation and you have to wait for a table. But the timing was good for us. We asked for 3 types of tacos: beef, fish, and chicken. The most appreciated was beef, then fish and 3rd the chicken. Patatas bravas were fresh, and the sauce was amazing. A nice surprise was the Paloma drink - unconventional and tasty. We tried the dessert - dulche de leche - and it was also on our taste. The service was friendly and welcoming. So, we rate it 5 and come back when we want tacos again :)

The food was good, but not something exceptional. The tacos have interesting combinations. The menu list is short, which can help you choose the dish faster. An interesting thing in the menu are the drinks. You can choosw from healthy, no added sugar drinks. I drunk a 'mellow mango', a very good and healthy nectar.

Very small restaurant with a fairly central location in Bucarest. Nice environment, cozy and cared for details. We tried the tacos with sweet potato and macha but they were pretty disappointing. We found the sauce a bit excessive as covering the taste of potato and feta. Staff is friendly and helpful, but service is really slow. We spent about 26€ for two tacos, one lemonade (special and tasty) and two bottles of water.

Really gooooood food! Poor atmosphere, look alike a Cantina but fake. Corporate hipsters pretending bohemian attitude. Expect huge prices!
