With high recommendations and extensive social media advertising, our anticipation was palpable as we ventured to try the much-talked-about brunch selection at this establishment. Despite enduring a reasonable wait in the queue, we were eventually seated outside on the pavement due to limited space. It became apparent that the place was understaffed, resulting in delayed service to take our orders. We opted for the grilled chicken waffle sandwich and the eggs Benedict on a biscuit with avocado and salmon. As for beverages, we ordered cappuccino, fresh orange juice, and a strawberry orange banana smoothie. Our first impression was marred by the lack of cups for the cappuccino, which was oddly served in a water glass. While the smoothie had a pleasant taste, the portion size left much to be desired, as it was disappointingly small. Turning to the main dishes, the grilled chicken waffle sandwich presented an intriguing combination, but failed to leave a lasting impression. It lacked the wow factor that would elevate it to a memorable culinary experience. Similarly, the eggs Benedict with the biscuit did not offer a special touch or any extraordinary elements. Considering the prices charged, the dishes fell short of justifying their cost. The establishment made an attempt to create a unique menu with selected combinations, but sadly, it did not succeed in delivering an innovative taste experience. While the concept was commendable, the execution left much to be desired, leaving us feeling underwhelmed and unimpressed.

Drop your normal weekend brunch plans and get yourself to Cookie Beacon Brunch. This place has to rank at the top of my favorites. We were on a scouting mission and wanted to try a variety of menu items so we ordered several. Not a single one disappointed! The chicken and waffles was simply outstanding and will definitely be the first thing I order on my next visit. It’s cousin, the grilled cheese waffle, was a close contender. The Eggs Benedict with Bacon was delicious and could use a touch more Hollandaise to add to the enjoyment. The Mac and Cheese Croquettes could have used a pinch of salt when they came out of the fryer but that’s splitting hairs. We took an assortment of cookies home to savor the experience at home. Portions are generous and the staff is incredibly friendly, even in the midst of a Sunday rush with a packed house.

Cookie Beacon Brunch failed to deliver the quality experience that we hoped for. The staff is a little slow to take your order, follow through, and/or recommend best dishes to new customers. Good quality is fair but not great! We ordered the traditional English breakfast and it was served on top of sweet pancakes that threw the flavor away. The beans were over cooked and the added sauce just made it worse. As for eggs Benedict, the biscuits were too dry and flavorless. Added greens did not compliment the dish and the touch of pomegranate were almost just to add color to the plate. The oat meal however was good and the everything added to the plate was freshly added. As for the cookies which was the main reason we came to the place were absolutely delicious and fresh. The dough was light and very soft. We ordered the Nutella, red velvet, and pecan with caramel. All did deliver a really good experience. Personally, I do not recommend this place for anything besides grabbing a cookie and making your own coffee at home.

The best cookies I have had in my life, no joke. The cookies here are insane and the brunch here is also worth the visit. The cookies taste amazing, with a gooey inside and a tough outside with multiple fantastic different flavours to choose from. My personal favourite was the red velvet cookie, it’s just incredible. Not only are the cookies tasty, they are very reasonably priced as well. The brunch here is also great and you can get some very unique dishes for a good price. The banana bread French toast is a great example of something unique and delicious, as well as other dishes such as the grilled cheese waffle. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and the staff are ever so friendly and kind. Service is very fast and although you queue, you won’t be waiting long. Toilets are available as well. Highly recommend if you are in Budapest ! 😸🍪

Very nice place in a nice area. They give you such a nice mood with the music and decorations. The food is tasty and prices are quite good. Also the coffee was nice. We had the banana bread, eggs Benedict and burger and they looked and tasted incredible. The taco pancakes were also so good looking. Only downside is that we waited for a bit for our food but I would rather have this than bad food. While you wait you can get cookies and coffee and they also provide free water. Staff is also super friendly and they speak English too

Such a wonderful place with amicable staff and delicious food. I have to admire the effort they take to put into every detail and the presentation of the dishes as well. It’s a fine dining but for brunch 😉. Don’t miss it if you are in Budapest! I want to give our heartfelt thanks to Anna especially as she was amazing and made us feel home while having our brunch! Please do some merchandise too… your cups are cute and colourful 😉 Thank you, John.

Amazing little brunch place with many tables. It was almost full but luckily we could sit down. The servers are very kind and fast. The food and drinks were very tasty. The waffle and homemade potato chips had just the perfect crunchyness and softness. The cookies are huge and very filling. I recommend to visit for anyone but it might be better if you book in advance.

I had time to visit the cafe in the morning, however even it was Monday 9.50, cafe was full and due to that reason I takeaway the cookies With lotus flavour and blueberry lemon pie flavour. They were delicious 🤤 and it’s impossible to eat 2 of them in once, because of the texture and sweetness. However definitely would recommend to try the cookies out early morning when they are fresh and warm from oven 🫶🏻👌🏻

We brunched here on the last day of our Budapest trip and it's such a lovely place with really good food and the owners are very sweet! We ate the cheese waffles and also the chicken with waffles and drank vanilla frappucinos. We also chose different variations of cookies to take away for our way home. Recommend!

Glad I order the chicken waffles it surpassed my expectations. So good and different from the usual ones I have tried before. The service was so friendly, welcoming and thoughtful. Happy to eat and worth the money. Loved it

Hyped up! I wanted to try it because I saw advertisement and it has good rating. Place that will look good on your pictures, but that’s it. I wish I never came here. Touristy, crowded, dirty. Tables were never cleaned, not before, not after we came. If you charge 12% service please make an effort. Coffee was just water with sugar. Food looked okay, eggs Benedict with salmon was fine, but waffle almost had no flavor. No offense to the place. I just really regret coming here. In the end, there are better places out of downtown for about the same price. I don’t think I ever come back. Whatever 🙃 have a nice day.

It's all smoke, but no fire. Looks better than it actually tastes. Negatives are: big noise, slow waitresses, no napkins, no spoon were given, the food tastes too sweet and oily, overall heavy. The eggs Benedict was overcooked, the bun was awful, the french toast is not a french toast, but only a banana bread with whipped cream. Only the fruits around it were good. The smoothie was great, the hot chocolate was cold.

Very lovely and cozy place for breakfast. We were there about 8am and there were free tables, but about 8:30am all of tables were occupied, so I recommend to make a reservation. Atmosphere was very nice, I felt very comfortable there. Waiters also were very kind and responsive. If I will go to Budapest again definetely I'll visit this place again 🤩

We had eggs Benedict and Latin Kaiser pancakes. I had better tasting eggs, but I never had ones that look so nice 😄 Pancakes were on the sweeter side, juicy, with lots of maple syrup. 🥞 Service was fast despite being very busy. Regina is awesome!!! 👏👏👏 What can be improved: 1. room acoustics ( noisy ), 2. bacon was crispy but lacked flavour. 3 prices could be lower for what it is. After all, all breakfast groceries are super cheap.

Arrived in Budapest and found this place for brunch. They serve nice coffee, matcha and other drinks with a great selection of cookies and brunch food. Service was friendly and perfect with english. Prices were also very reasonable.

By far, the best brunch place I’ve been to! Delicious food. Always buzzling with international people which adds an extra special vibe to the place. The eggs benedict (salmon or bacon), the pancakes, the chicken waffle, the coffee — everything was simply amazing. Their cookies were also terrific, soft and chewy inside. Servers were always accommodating and friendly. This store is an asset to Budapest. Highly recommended!

Always passed by the place and had the intention to go in, today I took my best friend and had a small brunch date. The atmosphere of the place is amazing, the waiters are all smiling non stop and the food is a work of art. And the cookies!!! Don’t know what to say about the cookies, mouth-gasmic that’s all I can say. A special shout out to Ayla, she is very sweet, full of energy and made our dining special as it was all her recommendation! It’s my new favourite place in Budapest.. Bye for now..see you soon cookies !!!

Super yummy and rich breakfast!🫐🥐🧇🧁 The food looks very beautiful, almost too beautiful to eat🥹 I really enjoyed my breakfast there, but the homemade bread wasn't quite my favourite. The stuff was friendly and fast and we didn’t have to wait long. I recommend to make a reservation, otherwise you have to come very early to get a free seat!

It is an extremely enjoyable brunch in the heart of Budapest. The line wrapped around the side of the building, which caused a wait of about 30 minutes to get inside. The line was consistent throughout our meal and was definitely worth it. Although it is a very tight space, I never felt bothered by those around. I do not have a big sweet tooth, but the cookies (took to go) were the size of muffins and very tasty! We paid around $63 for a coffee, matcha latte, three entrees, and two cookies. I'd say that's was a pretty fair price considering the location.

Very nice place with great atmosphere! Cool and friendly staff. We bought two coffees, both very tasty. But i was not satisfied with the mug I got, because it did not have handle and i got V60 so the beverage was hot and so was the mug. I had to wait or burn my fingers 😅 but that was the only issue, I will gladly visit again♥️

The food is super yummy, and it looks really nice when it comes to your table. But, be ready for a long wait in line—like, more than an hour! The place is kinda small, so it gets a bit crowded inside. Still, if you're cool with that, the tasty treats make it worth the wait!

The atmosphere was very cozy, perfect for winter vibes. The food was absolutetly delicious and the presentation was spot on! A little bit pricey for some of the dishes but overall very good. The cookies on the other hand, were okay but a little overhyped in my opinion, too sweet (and I eat very sweet). I recommend going between 9-10 am, we only waited 5 minutes to be seated and after 10 the line is huge.

This place knocks it out of the park. Though there was a large line outside, they do their best to expedite turnover. Food comes fast and the waitstaff is amazing. We loved EVERYTHING! Chicken and waffles, grilled cheese melt, lattes and cookies. I could have eaten here EVERY day.

This is an amazing place to take your brunch, probably the BEST in town. Personally i had my best breakfast in my life. The carrot french toast is incredible, also the pancakes and the cookies. The coffee is also really good. The waiters were so gentle and kind, they even borrow us a lighter to light my birthday candles. You guys cannot leave Budapest without trying this great site.

the vibes, the food, the service: everything was so amazing!! the waiters were super friendly and the wait wasn’t super long either! (we waited in a huge line outside for only about 20 minutes!) we tried the eggs benedict & the banana french toast & both dishes were spectacular! however the highlight were certainly the cookies! they were so soft and buttery and the flavours we got tasted amazing. so overall a very great experience and we would love to come back :)

One of the best restaurants in Budapest, Hungary. The beautiful brunch restaurant is located on Hercegprímás utca street. A beautiful aesthetically pleasing restaurant famous for its handmade cookies and food. The restaurant has both options for dining in and take away (take away is only applicable for the cookies). It has a variety of options both for breakfast, brunch but also lunch and dinner too! Amazing atmosphere and welcoming service. Fair prices for the food quality. I ordered a hot chocolate, a cookie and British pancakes with eggs and bacon. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The only problem is that the restaurant is quite small and you have to wait a while for the tables to be available. Yet it was worth the wait!

Cookie beacon is one of the reason to come back to Budapest again. I love combination of sweet and salty and the chicken waffles was like heaven in my mouth! I couldn't decide which cookie to try and one of the worker choosed it for me, i was amazed by taste! THANK YOU for this amazing taste experience.

Cookie (raspberry and pistachio) were delish! That’s their strong suit. Nice terrace on the street. Place has a nice feel. 3 stars because my wife didn’t like anything about the chicken and waffles.

The location was cute, we ate outside. The service was okay, not too attentive but the wait for the dishes wasn't long. We had the chicken waffle, eggs Benedict with bacon, the carrot pancakes, and the banana bread. The food was American style, so very big portions, so in the end it was a bit too much for 2 people. Everything was very nice, but overall the savory was better than the sweet as after a bit the sweet was a bit too much. Prices a bit over average, but considering the portions I think it's worth it.

Great staff. Long queue outside the Café due to it being very popular. I didn‘t have the famous cookies, I opted for the banana bread with fruits and the red velvet cream and I regret doing so. The food was way too sweet and I usually have quite the sweet tooth. It was so sweet that it made my teeth hurt. Other than that the orange juice and my coffee were pretty good.

Go for the cookies!! We went twice for a cookie and did try brunch the second time too but weren’t overly impressed unfortunately. The cookies/biscuits are part of the breakfast dishes so they are quite sweet and didn’t suit the Eggs Benedict I ordered. The cookies are delicious - we loved the plain choc chip. The cookie would get a 5 star rating alone!!

  • 3/5 Tamas M. 6 months ago on Google
Food and concept did look good on the pictures but unfortunately, they didn’t deliver in taste and quality. For food we choose the waffle grilled cheese and the chicken & waffles - both of them were bland, without any seasoning and dry as a desert, both arrived lukewarm at max. Waited for more than an hour for our food. Drinks were delicious, nothing extra but really small portions.
