Very elegant and classy hotel with all comforts. Only the rooms are furnished in a way that some may see as tacky and cheap - not up to the magnificent historic 1880s palace that hosts this hotel. Bedside tables are too small to be properly used, and the shower sometimes didn't deliver warm water. The staff was very friendly and helpful !

First, WOW! Second, WOW, and last one WOW! The hotel is beautiful and outstanding! The crew is polite and helpful, fully professional! The rooms are great, you can choose between bigger and smaller ones. With my wife, I choose a smaller one and it’s really cozy and warm. Breakfast is great and tasty. Seriously it looks like in photos. I really recommend this place. It's a great place to sights and discovers Budapest!

Loved, loved, loved my stay here. Very convenient location - steps from the metro. The room was spacious and tastefully appointed. Excellent staff. Delicious breakfast. Outstanding service everywhere. Highly, highly recommended.

Yeah would defo stay here again...buildings beautiful, rooms aren't huge but very clean and decors cool. 2 mins walk to metro/bus links for easy access to the city, plus there's plenty bars/restaurants all within walking distance.

Excellent value for the price, at $120 or under per night, this is the pick for a stay in Budapest. Within walking distance of a nice grocery store and a stone's throw from the metro and tram stations. The only negative is that they don’t provide conditioner.

Amazing design EVERYWHERE! The sauna and gym are not some afterthought as in many hotels, they're quite pleasant and chill. The sauna has changing rooms, lockers, showers, towels, water, and a small chill out area! The bedroom design is bold, not going to be for everyone but right up my alley. Ours faced indoors which is not great, but we mostly keep the curtains closed anyway. The bathroom is small but does the job. The water pressure is great. At around 120€ per night I found it to be great value for money.

Amazing hotel lobby, cute rooms (we only brought 1 suitcase, a second one would be problematic in the room), nice bathroom and very comfy beds! Really close to everything relatable (30min walk to Donau eg.) Didn’t try the breakfast but 15€/Person seemed fair :)

Wonderful hotel in Budapest, and one we highly recommend to stay at. It is slightly out of the way ( not central- take the bus from Budapest Keleti train station to Vorosmarty Utca) but it is easily accesible by public transport via metro or tram to local attractions The room was on the 1st floor and can look out unto the street. Having the block out blinds was perfect! Overall, the rooms with its high ceilings was quite modern We don't usually opt for hotel breakfasts, but this hotel offers an amazing buffet with a wide range of options and tastes great for €15 pp. Definitely worth it, and would recommend it. They even have an automatic pancake maker with a wave of your hand to get it started! There were 2 male concierge staff that was particularly wonderful and was very helpful ( wished I'd gotten their names to properly thank them for their amazing service)

Very nice Hotel, really close to the Oktogon Metro, in 5 -10 Min you are downtown and enjoy the beauty of the city. The Hotel has a magnificent Hall, very impressive! Congrats to the service, very nice people Always able to help! We had 2 rooms at the 3rd floor. Rooms are fine and clean with a good light! The breakfast Is really good. A suggestion: why to not have a nice restaurant for lunch/dinner in the Hotel? Thank you for the great experience, we spent 5 fantastic days!

The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Conveniently, you can purchase a Hop-on-Hop-off ticket at the reception. The Christmas market is approximately a 25-minute walk away. I utilized the Blot taxi app for my evening airport transfer, costing £25 (10750). While there's no swimming pool, the sauna comfortably accommodates around 5 people. The breakfast was delightful, and I would definitely return.

Fantastic hotel, with even better amenities. Large rooms, good sized bathroom. Very modern in a very old building. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lady working in the bar was brilliant craic. Would highly recommend it to anyone. Walking distance to all attractions and a stones throw feom the metro.

It really is luxurious hotel. The interior is fascinating. The room i stayed in only had an interior facing window, unfortunate. The amount of lights in the room was so low. The red walls with those minimalist lights looked goos tho. Brrakfast starts too late in my opinion. The coffee machine in the room is a really good addition. The bar is good the fitness room is not that qell equipped, but still much-much better then most.

I stayed overnight for a short business trip. Hotel Oktogon Haggenmacher provides a splendid stay experience in Budapest. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. Its central location makes exploring the city a breeze. They've masterfully refurbished a charming building into this modern hotel. A delightful 4.5-star experience, highly recommended for Budapest travelers!

Little disappointed that the deluxe room wasn't big enough to open a suitcase on the floor. Otherwise, friendly staff and a comfortable stay. Good.location and pretty view from the bedroom. Shocked by the state of the bathroom for reception is in the basement. Appeared not to have been cleaned in days.

Incredible place.. Amazing service from stuff.. Extraordinary room's, really felt sad because we had to get back to Greece, Alexandra, and all the staff did the best they could for us, very close to the city center and all the transportation.. The best choice in normal prices. Thanks for all!!!!!

Very nice atmosphere and lively breakfast! The sauna is also very relaxing! Everything is so clean and the interior is spectacular! I also love the location, since it is near to almost everything!

Upon arriving the staff were friendly and welcoming, continuing to be so our entire stay. No request was too much and they always helped when asked. The rooms are nicely sized for the price and equipped with a rainfall shower. They accommodated to our requests and provided us with the requested room. The hotel is in a great location and surrounded with many nice restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in Budapest.

I stayed at this hotel from May 31st to June 3rd. It was an exceptional experience in every way. The hotel was clean, the location was close to everything, it was peaceful, and most importantly, the staff was more than wonderful, especially the manager Barbara. She was welcoming, helpful in every way she could, and left a lasting impression on us. I will definitely visit this city and hotel again. Thank you Oktogon Hotel, thank you Barbara.
