This place is a total 10 out of 10! The service was top-notch, the staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Plus, they're totally dog-friendly, which is a big plus in my book. The food was amazing - seriously, I'd give it more stars if I could! Definitely worth checking out👌

Absolutely glorious breakfast - second time being here but there will definitely be a third. The french toast was the perfect amalgamation of warm, sweet flavours and The Goat was absolutely delicious. The beetroot puree was ten out of ten. It's a very small but incredibly comfortable place. Not much traffic in the morning on weekdays, and it's a slow street so it's relatively silent. Which is something I appreciate a lot, I get easily overwhelmed by noise. They also offer free Wifi and are incredibly friendly folks to chat with. And so darn good cooking. Their Menu is short but varied, you'll definitely find something for your liking. Last time I had the poached eggs with avocado cream, but they have sweet and salty, meaty dishes and vegetables and scrambled eggs. And I definitely recommend the cucumber water. I know it's just fresh water with mint and cucumber, but I'm not doing well with sodas and it's just perfectly refreshing. The simple things in life can be the best

TL;DR - you HAVE to come here. Never in any trip have I visited the same place twice - let alone 3 times (in a 4 day trip). But Deszka had us coming back for more and we will definitely return once we are in Budapest again. We randomly walked in while looking for a breakfast place after a very early start of the day and flight, and despite our sleep deprivation, we were in the best mood we ever were on a work trip. The food was absolutely delicious and with bold flavors, the friendliest of owners and the cutest 4-legged host! Starting our day in Deszka was like coming over to a friend's place for brunch - we felt at home and the music choices hit a nostalgia heart string. Food-wise, we can just really about recommend everything on the menu. Their coffees are rather perfect flavor profile for the drinks, and their raspberry lemonade is a must drink-wise. We had the Deszka toast, the Eggs Benedict, the Ciao Shroom, and the Gravlax Eggs Royal and the Poopy Seed Thing - all amazing and worthwhile to the point we can't even name the favorite. The G.O.A.T. seems to also be an absolute banger - sad that a food allergy stopped me from trying it (although I was close to risking an Epipen shot to do it...) Mazli is the absolute star - he's the owners dog - and he will join you at your table since this is his restaurant too. By our last visit, he was truly warmed up and just simply joined us for breakfast as well. And last, but definitely not least, David the Owner is also the star of the place! He made us feel welcomed every time, and giving us suggestions about the menu as well as the city. All in all, I wish there was a special rating you could give a place just once so that you can show everyone how great a place truly is - and I'd give mine to Deszka.

This was a serendipitous find and literally one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! From the service, to the food choices, to the quality of ingredients… this place is just YUM and a must if you are in Budapest. 🇭🇺 David’s attention was top notch, best of luck!

Where to start? Five stars are not enough to rate this place. The owner is a very friendly and thoughtful person, who really cares about the customers. The atmosphere is lovely and very cosy. And the food is outstanding; incredibly tasty with a beautiful presentation, it was like art in a plate. We were 7 people and all of us were extremely satisfied with the food and the place in general. It’s a MUST in Budapest. We will come again to try the other dishes. Thank you for the great experience, I can’t recommend this place enough!

This place is really cute! Its extremely popular and busy. We arrived and the shop was full. Luckily not long after some one left and we got seats quite quickly. We enjoyed the food and company of other guests who was also having brunch. The hosts are very nice and friendly and overall we had a lovely experience.

It was our best breakfast in Budapest for sure :) The owner and boss (doggo of course) were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were creative, tasty and different from most common toasts/shakshuka/oats etc. We regret we wanted to try another breakfast restaurants. We hope to see you next time :)

I had the most beautiful toast here ever! It was a work of art on a plate but tasted even better especially the bacon bits with layered flavors of fillings and sauces. It wasn’t overwhelming at all. The coffee soda was also refreshingly different, never had it before. The staff was so nice and warm. The place is cozy yet clean and well-designed in an authentic way, effortlessly cool. I wish I met the café dog!

Wow. Just incredible. I was having a short stay in Budapest. And let me tell ya, it was quite a challenge finding a good restaurant. Yes, decent restaurants exist, but when I say good, I mean "guuud". Like 4.4 stars and on, with at least 100 reviews. I don't eat at any place lower than that. It was hard to find these restaurants, and I could tell from the reviews and restaurants' response to reviews that customer service was nearly non-existent in the center of Budapest. I was prepared to starve myself. Then I came across this place. Not only they served excellent food, they were also polite and professional. And you can tell from the uploaded photos, that their food is of consistent quality. So yea, come and check it out for a unique experience.

Not just a brunch spot with pretty plating, but each dish is well thought out and truly delectable. We came back a second time to try more dishes and to see Mazli again, the sweetest, most polite manager! The GOAT and granola were our favourites, and seasonal dishes are also worth a try!
