This is the reception also for Elvis Guesthouse. And both of these places are disgusting. Be ready to waste your nerves and time trying to get something vital from the people at the reception. They answer rudely and with contempt, always despising, give different information in different days. In the room there were no table, no closet to store things in, very poor lighting, dark even during the day. The bathtub leaks, making the bathroom constantly damp and causing the towels to smell the next day. There are also cockroaches of different sizes, which means that no one cares about getting rid of them. They are not only in common areas and in the kitchen, but also sometimes appear in the room and bathroom. It is also very noisy - you can hear both neighbors and all sounds from the street. People smoke under the windows, so the instruction “no smoking” makes no sense at all. Everything is old and in a cobweb. After cleaning, other people's hair is smeared on the floor, various wet crumbs are lying around - from cockroaches to feathers. Don't sponsor such rudeness.

Amazing location in the heart of the city center. Very kind and polite staff, easy and fast check-in. The accommodation itself and amenities are really basic. I didn't like that they don't offer international TV channels (I still could enjoy watching ski jumping). Horrible insulation! Heard every move in the room next to mine.

WOWWW JUST WOWWW. Went on a budget trip, didnt have much for accomodation, didnt expect much, but this is a gem. Price is just amazing for what u get. Staff is sooooo nicee they can solve anything. Came early, but they offered us to leave our luggage at the reception so we dont have to walk around the town w it while we wait for our room. Rooms were clean and the bathroom was specious. Saw some people say its loud in the night cuz ur on main street, and could agree but if u close the windows that wont bother you. Also the location is amazingg ur on the main street just next to metro station and Lidl if you want a quick snack or breakfast from there. Just rlly nthing to complin it was 11/10 , if ur considering it look no more and go there!

I like place but staff is not so friendly and helpful. As I lived there for 5 months and I found that they were so rude. Otherwise place is excellent and clean and close for everything.

First the good thinks, room was clean, ac worked, lady at reception was very nice, WiFi worked and location is also very good. Now not so good thinks. Windows are old and partial broken and dont insulate against noise from street it was very Hard to sleep also when tram goes by you can feel it(vibrations). Toilet seat cant stay open it closes on your back. In room is only hanger, bed and smal cabinet. Its actually not Very easy to find it and get in. You cant park at entrance so you have to park some where and try to find where the entrance is. Building itself from inside need a lot of maintanance. And about breakfast, its better to go to get something from Lidl next to Omega guest house it will be better and probably cheaper albait the breakfast is cheap. It was not nightmare or any think like that but I would not chose this again.

Very next to the Lidl which is totally ok. Very thin walls😉 Cleaning is top. We had the room facing the inner yard and I’m glad for that because It’s away from the noisy street.

About the room: You get what you pay for. It is a small room with a minimum for living. Nothing more than usual and cheap We had a shared kitchen with fridge and microwave - actually was helpful Reception: The stuff is helpful and warw people, really liked it Location: One of the best for the price Conclusion: Worth the price definitely, but with understanding that it's a cheap housing option

The location is hard to find, no parking area, the room was dated, smelly, dirty , noisy, the kitchen area was dirty, breakfast was no good and the staff had a bad attitude. I will never comeback. I recommend to find another place to stay.

Overall: First impression was disgusting - below drawbacks. Afterwards it was rather manageable for longer stay. Pros: - clean rooms - nice personnel and boss - central location at Budapest centre - spontaneous vibe coming from personnel - "no problem" attitude at reception desk - nice and cosy atrium with plants - low price Cons: - filthy and dirty reception room/desk - definite lack of information flow between personnel - not stable WiFi connection - too much spontaneous vibe coming from personnel - hard to find entrance - backdoor entrance near fast food kebab/gyros - smelly, old and slow elevator

A clean and quiet guesthouse with hot water all the time. Economic but safe and comfortable with basic amenities and great breakfast. Good location as well. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The guesthouse covered all our needs, we had an excellent stay and we strongly recommend it

I sort of wanted to give this place 2 stars for the pretty courtyard and nice staff, but I really can not recommend this place to anyone. The walls are paper-thin and there is no insulation, and it's next to a busy road. You can hear all of your neighbors talking and you'll hear every car passing on the road. Be prepared to fall asleep late, wake up in the middle of the night to a phone call from outside, and then wake up early from the busses. As a cherry on top, be prepared to maybe have no hot water for your morning shower, and then receive a breakfast so bad it would make prisoners riot. They also charge extra for air conditioning, but as the insulation is so poor 5 minutes after turning it off it goes back to the previous temperature. This building is simply not fit to be a hotel. In hindsight I would have gotten a motel at the edge of the city if I could. This place turned what was supposed to be a nice vacation into a sleep-deprived fit of grumpiness.

Our room was big enough, bathroom small but clear, breakfast is quite good for such a price, location perfect - metro and bus station in front of buulding. Wifi could be better but anyway it works.

Stayed here for 3 days. Location is great, and service was good. Sadly, our stay was very exhausting and not very plesant. The room was okay, a bit old and run down, as expected for the price. Bathroom was OK. However, AC (air condition) was not working, and the room was incredibly hot and damp. Like being in a sauna. Also, opening windows was a bad idea because the traffic outside was just non-stop and VERY loud. Like, incredibly loud, with 4 lane traffic, buses, trams, and so on. To get cooler air, we had to listen to the constant traffic, and to have a silent nights sleep we had to lay there drenched in sweat. Beds were not good. All of this combined made it impossible to sleep. We barely slept in the 3 days we spent here. We also got sick from the fan in the room that we had to use in order to get any sort of relief from the heat. I do NOT recommend this place if the room has an AC that isn’t working. If it is however, then this may be an okay budget stay.

First of all, location of this guesthouse is everything. You can explore the whole city by foot. Staff was ok, not the friendliest, but kind of friendly. Rooms are a bit small, but that wasn't the issue as much as the amount of noise coming from the street, through the window, and noise from the next door room. Weird thing is that our room was separated from the one next to ours only by one door, behind the beds. Anyway, everything was clean, e v e r y t h i n g. Breakfast is menu based, you go to the kitchen in the morning and they prepare it straight away. Portions are just enough and food is tasty. Overall, great for a short stay.

The receptionists (Aron and the lady who do evening shifts) are really letting the whole place down. We stayed for two nights and when we arrived we were told about how we need a deposit for a parking card, and we have to pay extra for AC. The first night, the AC did not work and al three of us (we travelled with our 4 year old) had a poor experience. The morning receptionist was kind enough to move us into a lovely room (overlooking the inner garden, so it was quiet) with working AC.

If you’re looking for basic, no-frills accommodations at a reasonable price, this place is for you. The rooms were clean, but the beds were uncomfortable and one of the pillows had 0 cushioning. The plus to this location is that you’re very close to food options as well as major transportation, but you’re not as close to any major attractions.

It's a very good location just next to Lidl. Just they need to put a picture of the Gate and location so the people now the exect spot of enterence.

The only good thing is its location. Prices are pumped during festival season apparently. The room is very small, there are constant noise from outside during night. Room service is not the best. It is like a labyrinth inside. If it is your first time coming, you wont be able to enter the building. If you want a bed and a bath, it will suffice

No heating at room... When it's pouring and you want to dry your shoes, it's not possible anyhow¿ Plus, if you have room to the street, it's really noisy even with closed windows (blinds also not working).

I would like to underline that the staff was very good kind and ready to help. Having said that, everything else was a bit under the Ok line. Not-so-clean room, bad smell, noises, small and old room. Location is good after all, if you like walking it’s a decent place . Wasn’t even that cheap so I wouldn’t recommend it.

Wonderful location, between train stations, next to the metro and other transport. The room is modest but has everything you need and more. Excellent for this money.

I stayed in Omega for a few months during covid times. They offered me a great monthly price, and these were some of my best days in Budapest. The location is absolutely great, close to everything. The room itself with its own bathroom and a shared kitchen was nice and comfortable, and the elevator worked all the time, so that was convenient. The only problem was that the kitchen was terribly small and shared, but it wasn't a big deal. I definitely recommend this place!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights, very welcoming nice staff, could speak English. Was very clean for the whole 5 days with daily cleaning. No issue with anything. Very cheap and a perfect place to stay when visiting Budapest

Great budget guesthouse in central Budapest. The price of the room was higher due to Harley Davidson anniversary. In front of the building are bus station and Metro 50 metars away. Next door is a big Lidl and some kebab place just right of the entrance. The room is clean but tv doesnt work. All staff worki ng there ate really nice and helpful. They have also basic breakfast which is ok and enough for start a day.

Stairway to hotel is a horror trip because of extreme meaty smell, and when you're vegetarian/vegan this is an absolute non-recommendation. Rooms seem nice though.

Nice warm welcome at the reception, clean rooms. Perfect location. Beds could be softer and darkening curtains would be nice and AC could be included in the price (now it's about 1,50€ per night and has to be paid in forints), but for the price at this location I can still 100% recommend this.

Went there only to deliver food. The front desk guy’s manners were absolutely ridiculous. My guess is that he has never worked in hospitality before..

Great budget place to stay with a lot of charm. The facilities are not the newest, but this adds to the character. Stayed 3 nights, clean room and bedding, friendly staff who speak english, close access to metro and tram system, accommodating to late check in and requests. Initially hard to spot from the street upon arrival.

Never got a chance to see the place because they canceled reservation ONE DAY BEFORE THE TRAVEL DAY! They don't read messages and they lied. Not to mention it was Christmas time.

In town center, close to a bus stop, tram line/metro. Private room is big enough for two adults, with a private bathroom. 👍🏼 There is Lidl supermarket right beside it. I would definitely stay here again.

Pwrfection. Near stadium, 3km from main bus station, and at very cozy and neat place. Rooms are clean, heated and nice. You can have breakfast for 4 euros. They have all of my recommendations!

good place to stay with good price vs quality ratio. Very good transport bus, tram or metro which will easily take you where you need to go. Exit guesthouse and all stops are within 50m

😠 Good ubication. Rooms without blinds, the curtains do not cover well and a lot of light enters, interrupting a good sleep. They don't put sheets, only short duvets, which are too hot in summer. Very improvable cleaning. In the bathroom the light is automatic, if you go at midnight you can't avoid it...

😠 The worst night of my life. The whole time I felt like the photo below from The Shining. Here are the 3 reasons why: 1. Owner was creepy and weird to us upon arrival 2. Large group of people being very loud all night 3. Random people trying to get into our room during the night Do yourself a favour...
