The worst night of my life. The whole time I felt like the photo below from The Shining. Here are the 3 reasons why: 1. Owner was creepy and weird to us upon arrival 2. Large group of people being very loud all night 3. Random people trying to get into our room during the night Do yourself a favour and spend the extra €3 to get a place that is safe to stay

Rooms are quite big and clean. Furniture is old-fashioned but strong and in very good condition. Towels were clean. Girl at reception is very helpful and friendly. But shared bathrooms are awful: the one on the main floor is almost ruined (see my photos ), and the underground one has almost no privacy - there is even no door! Shared kitchen is also at underground floor. Right near the kitchen are dryers with laundry from previous visitors. So, I preferred to eat in my room. Area is really noisy and walls are very - very thin. I wasn't able to sleep for couple of days and got real headache despite the mattress was very comfortable.

It's ok ! If you are looking for a place to sleep by night and explore the city the rest of your time, it's ok. We stayed there 5 days, the staff is nice and helpful. They do their best. The rooms are ok, clean and the beds are comfy enough for you to have a nice sleep. My only negative remark and the reason why I put only 3/5 is regarding the other guests. It seems that community and respect was not part of their vocabulary. Shower and toilets disgusting after they used it and really loud until 5-6am... But apart of that the location of the hostel is really practical. Close to the metro station and close to the popular areas. We recommend you the place. Cheers from kiwi and Milo!

Well, I have to be honest, in this place you wont find any of the regular hostel guests...There are old people living there who cant afford anything better, which is very sad, but I think it describes the atmosphere of this place very well. The person behind the countre was very unfriendly... The toilets and bathrooms looked super dirty and old just like the rooms and its furniture. You dont want to spend your holiday there, believe me! Horrible experience, we wanted to look for something else straight away, but couldnt find anything,so we decided to spend as much time as possible somewhere else... Its actually very close to the party area, but in a very dirty corner of the district...The "hostel" is on floor level and we could hear drunken ppl arguing on the street, someone puking in the morning literally underneath our "window" (what btw had a fence on it, so we felt like we are in prison).

Yesterday we tried to check in because we booked the room 1 moths ago but their reception girl doesn't speak english and didnt explain why we can check in she just ask us to leave without any explanation so we were pushed to search for a new apartment at 12pm.

Hostel is generally clean, but equipped with old things like toilet etc. Walls between rooms are made of "paper" so you can hear everything from your neighbours room. Ear plugs are very useful. Service is kind.

We stay only one night. The room was spacious, the showers were clean. The location in the city center is great for reaching the main attraction of Budapest

Rooms are big bit the bed is not comfortable at all. It seem like we were sleeping over a rock. The service does not even exist, there was no towels available 🤦🏾‍♂️. The location is great 😊.

Really not as bad as some reviews have described the place, in my experience. You just get what you paid for. After reading some stories at Google Reviews we were prepared for the worst but it was a decent place for the amount of money it costed. Our room was clean, as were the toilets and showers. The beds could have been more comfortable but do you actually need that with the Budapest night life? The location was perfect, and the last day we could store our luggage in a corner (not secured but that was fine for us).

The place was verry good (compared to the price). Just i forgot my cheese in the fridge so you can take it, it was a good one for pastas

Terrible. Lower floor smells of dampness but the worst thing is that they messed up the reservation and didnt have room for us. Receptionist spoke only hungarian and started some argument over the phone and finally woke someone to be a translator but offered us no solutions - basically we dont have a room for you, so what. The only good thing is they didnt take cancelation fee.

I had a room in the far back, so not many people there, but I still got woken up at night due to excessive noise from the hallways. It's an echo chamber out there. Also, there was no desk or chair in the room, a staple of any overnight stay.

The room is small and dark. The walls are thin so if you are a light sleeper you may have trouble sleeping. There was also noise from the street. We only met one person from the staff and he was unpleasant and mocking. From the outside the building looks really terrible like it has been abandoned for years, The main advantage is the location, near the subway and trams. The kitchen is functional.

We stayed for a week, simple rooms, Toilet and showers were good. There was hot and cold water, at least as many outlets as people in the room. It's in a great location, plus they didn't bother us, just let us be. 5/5/5 for a budget hotel.

Everything was as described, good contact on site, no problems, the service man was very nice. For this amount and for one/two night I highly recommend! not bad

Great place. In the center of the city, cheap and good accomodation, friendly owner. Cannot ask for more at that price.

I think those who say they were somehow mistreated it's because they don't get the sense of humor. Our stay was remarkable in the best of the ways. Had a great time in this hostel. Cheers!

Clean, simple accommodation with shared bathroom. The walls are made of paper, so earplugs are essential for sleeping.

Simple and easy, for this price nothing much expected

The hostel is not worth it, there were bed bugs whilst we stayed and I got bitten so badly. The hostel owner apologised and we got a full refund but the room was not fully cleaned and the bugs were so visable you could see them on the wall and bed with your naked eye! Just check before you sleep

One of the best hostels. Adrian is a gem of a person!

The "guests" are constantly screaming and too loud to bear, smoking in their rooms and littering everywhere, even before the building. Not recommended.

Nice people and good service. Was pretty clean. Just a bit noisy when we had the windows open. Had a nice stay.

A great place to stay in Budapest, especially if you're visiting on a short budget. I think this place offers a good balance between quality and price. The room was good although seemly old. Emilia, the receptionist, was very nice, she showed us everything in the hostel, she was always very open and helpful, she did everything to make us feel at home, and she even gave us some suggestions to enjoy the city!

Localization is fine but hostel is really not comfortable.
