A nice Hungarian fusion restaurant just next to the Benz showroom. The restaurant ambience is nice and quite large too. The staff are nice and speaks English too. Previously, their services were quite slow and food preparation was long, but last night, the serving times were decent, so well done in improving the serving timeline. Their menus have various options, and at time they have wild meats too. I really like their duck and fish options, and recommend them. Last night's chicken breast was prepared very well and it was soft, so kudos to the chef!! They have a nice selections of cocktails and mocktails, and recommend those too. The prices are at the higher end, but it's decent for the service you get and food quality and ambience too. If someone wants to experience fancy Hungarian cuisine, would recommend this establishment.

Delicious food ! You know the feeling when you watch a good movie and you think of the director who had this brilliant idea and she manages to bring it to life. That's the exact feeling I had about the dining experience in VakVarjú. I remember the chef putting in a lot of effort and thought into the food. Personally tried Gulyás soup and Bakony chicken taken to the bew level. I've to admit this was a culmination of all the previous flavours of Gulyás and Bakony csirke I've had in the past. Just mentioning together perfectly.

It's a nice place. The food was good. When we arrived, they quickly found a spot for us. We had a tour afterwards, and fortunately, the service was excellent, with minimal wait time for the food to arrive. Making a reservation in advance is highly recommended.

Perfect place to have a dinner. Friendly and professional staff, awesome good quality meal waits you here. Prices are in pair with the quality: high. Same good experience I had in their other restaurant near Deak square. Strongly recommended place.

Best fine dinning with wonderful taste. We had our team Christmas dinner there and it was amazing.

Nice place, friendly staff and good atmosphere 😎 A reservation is not a must, but during dinner rush and weekends, to make one in time is highly recommended!!! The food was great, we had a three course meal. Compliments to the kitchen. International and Hungarian dishes with a twist 😋 The Bakony style fried chicken and the chocolate soufflé was perfect. Hope to visit this place soon again.

The dishes were tasty. We ordered appetizers, salmon, different other and ofc deserts. All were good. But the service was not the best. We needed wait for waitress, asked them several times. But in overall all is good.

Nice place to visit, tasty food. Ordered duck, which was absolutely delicious, as well as beef tartar. Service could be a bit better, but all over satisfied with my visit

Nice ambience and outdoor area is located in the middle of the a quite garden;I have ordered the lamb which was a bit over cooked but delicious; appetiser was tasty too. Lemonades were good; among desserts we tasted the pistachio raspberry was really delicious; I wouldn’t recommend the turogomba. too soft the outer shell;and the sour cream was too sour.

PLEASANT SURPRISE: This is a huge restaurant and my expectations as to both service and food were not high. On both counts, however, I was proved wrong — the food quality was very good, as was the service. No complaints about any of the courses (10 x 2) and the service was very efficient. Good and extensive meal choices and a healthy wine list (with good glass and bottle options). The restaurant has a family or 'big table' flavour, so doesn't present as particularly intimate, however. Importantly, though, pricing was reasonable and not outlandish. Definitely worth going back to.

Very recommendable restaurant. Good material, very well cooked and good service. The only problem is that it is a little far from the city centre. We go there since it was near the ship for a cruise.

Live piano music for a Saturday's night was really nice. The food and service were very good. Great overall experience.

Family friendly place, nicely plated food. Only issue I had was with the kids set, fries smelled like old oil, and had been put under the warmer and served. Otherwise it was ok. Staff seemed ‘rushed’. Nice huge playground for kids at the back

I really enjoyed my dinner at this place. It's rather a gourmet restaurant with fancy food and even fancier names for their dishes but the quality of food was amazing and the portions were above the average. I was there on a Saturday night, they had live music. I would recommend this place.

An upscale cafe with a very casual atmosphere. It’s family friendly with a sophisticated Hungarian menu. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. Great wine list! We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

This is my favourite restaurant. I try to visit this place once a month. There are fix offers, but Laci shef always figure out something new and delicous. You cant decide? Ask anybody from the friendly staff, they are willing to help. This restaurant is best for any reason, drink with friends, celebrate anything, even a Sunday lunch with kids.

The experience in this restaurant was pleasant. We did not have table reserved but a waitress still managed a table for me and my spouse, even though the place was crowded. We ate starters and main courses. Food we ate was delicious and authentic Hungarian style. Would definitely visit again.

We had a reservation at 21:30 and they said that we can come only that the kitchen will close at 22:00 When we came in we had to order very quickly and after 10 minutes all our ordered food came in one time. So we couldn't enjoy our food very good. The food quality was good btw. But we are not coming back! This is not service!!

Nice restaurant next to the theatre. Can definitely recommend it before theatre for a lunch or dinner. The staff was friendly but we had an issue with our dish. The sous vide chicken was very chewy like a gum. When we asked for this dish to be replaced they said, this is what sous vide chicken is like, we were a bit disappointed as we know it should be like that. But without an issue they replaced our meal for another one. This is the reason why they lost a start for me. But still recommend to try this restaurant chain in Budapest as they have good food throughout.

Very nice meal with very kind services. Perfecr craft beer IPA and delicious meals. We have Hungarian Pizza and Slow cooked pork meal with bulgur rissoto. Recomendation for everyone who want to gastronomy experience on the level. Thank you guys, it was realy great. I hope that we can return back in near future.

A wonderful place to go with the whole family as this restaurant is very much children friendly. In the inside part they even have a dedicated space with toys for children to play while you are eating. Outside there is a public playground 30m from the restaurant. In term of food you can find modern Hungarian kitchen. It's looking very good and tasty. The price are a bit above average but you pay for the quality. A highly recommended place.

Everytime I returning back here. I have been in many restaurants in Budapest but this is perfection, best of the best, absoutely without mistakes.

Very nice location and very nice and clean place. Staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. The place is very elegant and has a very good atmosphere. All foods we tried were tasty and good and they brought them very fast. Next to our table there is a "kid corner" with an animator so you can leave there your kid and enjoy your meal. I think this extra service is very good and useful. Go try and see for yourself. I do recommend this place to you all. Enjoy

Came just for dessert and tea and we were not disappointed! The deserts were amazing, VakVarjú Somló-style sponge cake (Somlói Galuska) was sweat and delicious and Cottage cheese dumpling with macaroon flavoured sour cream (Túró Gombóc) was sweet and sour in perfect balance! It's a shame we didn't get to try their main courses but next time we are visiting Budapest we will for sure do so.

Google should introduce a special rating for such restaurants. Absolute recommendation and we will definitely be back again. Fast, helpful and cheerful staff is just an additional plus, but the food is perfect. 7 stars for this restaurant.

It was a busy night. Food was good. Got two chipped glasses in a row and had to wait a lot for the dessert (so long that we wondered if they forgot about it). All in all, service was not the greatest, not the worst, but I'm definitely interested in the other dishes.

whoever gave 4 stars, shame on you. Recommend to go to 5 star foreign places and others and realize this is 7 stars place. If you have no time go to McDonald's. Quality of everything is exceptional.

Omg! That was best restaurants in Budapest, too bad we only discovered it in the last evening :( and it was 5 min walk from our Danibius hotel which had the worst food in Budapest. We went to this restaurant expecting simple Hungarian food and design. We were pleasantly surprised to walk into a big beautiful place with a high standard European cuisine and not very expensive! Defenitly recommend. I understand they have a few branches in the city.

As they are part of the VakVarju chain the expectation was high. The menu is not disappointed me at all. Various great food selections and lots of opportunity to test new tastes. I just jumped in and thanks to the super friendly staff I found a nice seat quickly even in the busy Wednesday night. As the place was packed there wasn’t too much oxygen but once the food arrived I couldn’t focus anywhere else. So eventually it wasn’t as huge of a problem. :)

Good service, good food. Portion could be more. Price is acceptable, middle range+. This place is rather popular therefore busy.
