I'll give it 3 stars only because of the bar. As a hotel I wouldn't even give it one. We stayed there for three nights our sheets were not changed and the room was not cleaned! we had booked two double rooms and in both rooms only the one bed was made up so we were searching for sheets the staff did not know where the sheets were. When we complained about our room not being cleaned they made up cheap excuses.. saying that we had to leave our key at the reception while away from our room, which is ridiculous! one of the employees told the lady on shift to come clean our room which was obviously not her job. We of course did not allow that to happen. the man I spoke with was basically not interested in what we had to say and that our room was not cleaned while we had seen the cleaning staff in the morning. The situation in the room was another experience on its own. the curtains were filthy with drips and spray and dirt and bodily functions all over them! A little love and care us what this hotel needs.

One of the advantages of Elit Hotel is its location - close to many entertainment places and very good restaurants, as well as the metro station. The 3 star hotel rooms are very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is not included in the hotel price, but the buffet is decent and saves visitors time in the morning before going sightseeing in Buda and Pest. The personnel, particularly Ms. Vivian, is very kind and helpful in many ways: helping with advice which places to go and visit in Budapest, or ordering a taxi cab for an early morning ride to BUD airport. I recommend the hotel even if there's no parking lot since one can always find a parking spot in an adjacent street that is "watched' by cameras (and over the weekend it's free).

TERRIBLE. They don't have any staff members there, managing everything via WhatsApp, and poorly. Before the trip they sent me almost 30 messages, with the information scattered; then I asked them for clarification about the location concerning the train station and they told me to Google it!!! Unbelievable. I told them that I would be arriving by 12:30 AM, and once I got there I couldn't get in. They would not answer the phone, nobody at the property... I had to wait for 1 hour for someone to leave the premises so that I could get in. The next morning I woke up with a message (at 7:00 AM) asking me if I was able to get it... Unreal. The entrance is as dark as a dungeon, and the automatic lights in the rest of the place switch off in 10 seconds! Of course, there is NO elevator. The rooms are dirty, and full of dust and mold. The bathroom has black mold everywhere (look at the pictures). The messages they send are pre-setted, so if you ask something different they either don't understand or directly they lie to you. They forgot the shampoo, I texted them and they asked me to wait for 1 hour to deliver it to me. After 1.5 hours I asked again and they told me that it would be delivered the following day!!!! The rooms are cold and the window seals are not correct, so you will be cold and it will be noisy as soon as a car (or some people partying) passes by. When I asked about the air conditioning (for heating) they said that it didn't work, and they would try to switch on the heating remotely. It takes hours to heat a single room with their system... WiFi simply doesn't work. They provided me with 3 networks that have no signal in the room, and when I asked about another one with a signal, they requested me to send a picture of the networks!!! I used one of the other passwords and it worked, but it is slower than 2G and it breaks every 5 minutes. The worst thing is that I asked if there would be a safe place where to leave my baggage after the check-out, and they said yes. BUT, BUT, BUT! What they don't say is that it is a room without a lock and no security. I left some of my belongings there and when I came back to get them, someone forced the lock on my suitcase and stole some things. I could keep going, but it is not worth it. Avoid the place at all costs.

The location is good since getting to the hotel is very easy with the M2 line. However, the first thing seeing when you get in the hotel is a pub operated in the lobby. The pub looks like coming out of a Guy Richie's movie. The only one missing was Vinnie Jones. While we got to our comfie and clean room we had to go up some dark stairs. Also the bed sheets of the double bed(two single beds connected) were dirty with hair and lipstick. However they helped us by giving us clean sheets which we had to change them ourselves. Also everyday we had our room cleaned by the cleaning lady. The staff was very helpful even if there is only one person working for the hotel and the pub at the same time. It is not noisy even if it is near the center of Budapest. However every time the tram passes the whole building is shaking. I wouldn't choose it again easily.

Budget hotel with bar. Located very near to Budapest-Keleti railway station, max 10 min by walk. The rooms are cozy but enough for 2 people. Rooms are equipped with AC which is important requirement in summer. They are very careful for their AC remote.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, very good breakfast (7:30-10:00 for 5€). Some installations need modernization (for example wash basin table in the bathroom), also curtains should be replaced. Only hungarian channels on the TV.

Just WOW!! Nice hotel plus, excellent location, answer me for all needs. The price is reasonable and even cheap, rooms are huge, there is a bar at the entrance which is also cheap. The hotel staff are really nice and friendly! The guys in reception are just amazing!

It was a terrible experience, very DIRTY. Dirty bathroom (liquid traces on the trash can, mold on the shower cab, dust and other on the windows and frame windows, dirty toillet), dirty room (foot traces on the walls, dirty chair, dirty lamp, dirty sheets, dirty pillow cases: different spots and ruptured sheets) and also spiders web, so its dirtiness it wasn't an exception. We have booked 2 rooms, both had the same problems so I think it is a general problem of the entire hotel. The receptionist was ok, but didn't try to find any solution and didn't seem surprised when I explained the issues.

Elit Hotel is a good place to spend a long weekend for a Budapest city break. It is close to public transportation and at 20min by foot from city centre. The hotel is not expensive, so don't expect to be perfect. Tge breakfast is good and has a couple traditional hungarian dishes.

Nice location. Good position regarding Hop on bus. Clean. Good reception staff. Not easy to park for longer. Car is not safe. Bar products (such as coffee) are expensive.

It was terrible. Don’t go! We had booked the hotel a few days in advance and what we were met with did not live up to our expectations! Guy contacted me on WhatsApp with the useful info but the reception was completely empty and dark so we had nowhere to get help. They didn’t follow the law as to check our passports but only asked for a picture via email which we didn’t send because it’s not safe. The room was dirty. Dust on the table. There were no sheets on the bed and the pillows had yellow stains. It smelled horrible. It didn’t seem like there were any other people in the hotel other than us. There were ikea bags full of dirty sheets and garbage just lying around on the stairs and in the hallways. The sketchiest place I have ever visited! We made the choice to leave immediately and find somewhere else as we didn’t feel safe at all! So glad we didn’t stay!

The location was ideal as it was closer to the budapest keleti railway station. Also a bus halt was there within 100m. The host was super attentive and provided all clear precise instructions on checkin and luggage storage. Also provided us with some recommendations on what to see, where to eat ... etc. He was really open to feedback and always followed up. Room was great and it's really good value for money.
