The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Although it pretends to be a 5-star hotel, it's more like a 3-star. Everything is old and somewhat dirty. The rooms lack sockets. My room had two chambers and sockets were available only in one of them (one socket). Many things were not functioning (light, freezer). A curtain was falling etc. The worst part, without a doubt, is the service. We had to pay more than what was charged in Booking. The staff is unfriendly, to say the least. They really don't care about their customers and are willing to create conflict (they can't miss a chance, seems like). In short, I'll never stay in any NH again in my life.

Avoid at all cost, only positive is the location. Very poor customer service, the reception hotel does not care about the clients and try to charge more of what you booked at all costs. The Internet does not work in the room. There is no electric sockets in the room and Air condition is old and makes a lot of noise making it impossible to sleep. This hotel should be 3 stars, not even close to 4 or 5 stars. The only positive aspect is the location, but for the same price or cheaper there are much better options. Very poor service, don’t recommend at all.

Great location that allows you to walk to many of the main, historic attractions. The rooms were a fair size, the pool was fantastic and the service throughout our stay was great. The breakfast was fairly more than advertised on their website so we found many resonable options around the corner instead. Also, across the street is a fair conversion rate for USD. Very convienent.

We stayed in January 2023: The hotel is centrally located near to The Pyramid of May, the cathedral and The Pink House. In fact, all of these attractions are so close they are less than a two-minute walk away. Avenida Corrientes, a pedestrianised shopping street, is also in easy reach as is Perù and Bolivia underground stations for those wishing to travel a bit further afield. Internally our room, situated on the seventh floor, was adequately sized and clean. The four piece bathroom was large and clean but also a little tired. Nothing of major concern but also nothing that would leave an indelible impression. The roof area had a stunning panoramic view of the city but also felt a little unloved. Our visit was during the summer where a few more umbrellas would have been welcomed. The roof top pool was a hit and therefore busy. The breakfast had a wide bakery selection supported by freshly squeezed fruit juices and smooth tasting coffee - this was certainly the best part of our stay. For anyone wishing to travel a little further from the hotel I highly recommend Recoleta which is beautiful. The river bars and restaurants are also a must see and are suprisingly affordable. As for the NH, super hotel, great service, great location - needs a little more love.

This Hotel is not 5 star, it is clean yes, but the rooms are so old, raggedy curtains with holes and worn out furniture troughout the hotel. We were looking forward to the breakfast but it was not good, the meats were partialy dried out, dis- coloured fruits, and the egg, omg that was just yellow water with lumps, yuk. I have stayed at many NH hotels and they normally have a very high standard, this one was disappointing for me. Reading some of the further reviews here it seems that this hotel has been coping with the same problems for over 2 years now, there have been apologies…but no changes apparently, that tells me they do not “realy” care, or it would have been dealt with or changed

I stayed for two nights, they have a great breakfast and very good quality. The restaurant has a nice menu and the food is not excellent but it is very good. I think the best thing was the pistachio cream for dessert. An unbeatable location, a few blocks from Puerto Madero and a few meters from the subway. They have a rooftop and a bar as well. The rooms are very comfortable and the service of the staff is excellent. Highly recommended.

Good location. Rooms were very small, TV didn't work, room temperature could not be regulated. Always had to call for them to come do the rooms. Expected a lot more for an NH.

Miguel the chef was very happy and proud of his work. Breakfast is the best we have had in two months in Argentina. Rooms are large bathroom's great. Awareness to staff not a complaint. There were left over stains on toilet lids. No kettle for making cuppa. No tea bags for cuppa or sugar. Will return again in the future

Stayed here because of a delayed flight. Very Friendly staff! Supposed to be a 5 star hotel? The room didn’t have a curtain so the bright white street light was shining in the room all night. Everything looks a bit old and outdated. Wifi is very bad

We had to extend our stay do to a medical situation and needed a place to recover. I booked with them and am so happy I did. We were able to check in early for a small fee and they took care of everything we needed when I asked. We had three small issues and all three were solved very quickly after I called the front desk to let them know. Melina was especially kind and helpful but everyone was a pleasure to interact with. I highly recommend this hotel

I’ve drank many places and had many bartenders. Georgina is one of the best. She made me feel at home as well her signature drinks which were delicious. If you come to the bar here you won’t be disappointed.

Possibly the worst hotel in the Patagonia region. Visited in March 2023 (March 11-15) 1) Lousy front desk service. Takes more than an hour to get checked in. Regardless the number of people at the queue, only two receptionist will serve. 2) Noisy air conditions. We changed room twice and the problem remained. Phone doesn’t work properly. 3) Unfriendly staff. It is worse if you can’t speak Spanish. 4) The hotel is old, over priced, and attracts unruly and loud guests. During one of the nights, the hotel took in a bus load of very noisy people. They were noisy in their rooms and in the lobby. NH Hotel at Bolívar in Buenos Aires is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

The service was terrific. People like Melina, Eliana, Aron, really make a difference in your stay. Always attentive, responsive and above all very service oriented with a warm and loving smile.

Stayed here for a work visit but it is ideally placed for tourism. Right next to Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada and an easy 10-15 minute walk to Puerto Madera. As for the hotel itself, I was in a junior suite which was roomy but does feel a little worn and dated. Feels in need of updating soon. The WiFi in my room was poor too with little to no connectivity in the bedroom and patchy elsewhere. The breakfast was very good, and the food I ordered via room service was also ok. The service from all the staff was great, I brought the wrong plug adaptor but they managed to sort me one out which was very much appreciated so a huge thanks! Need to also give an extra special call out to Antonio behind the lobby bar who was always very friendly and efficient and was quick to bring me a cold beer after spotting me arriving back after a long day at work!! Top man!

Servicio paupérrimo. Un hotel NH así tan malo nunca. Awful assistance and personnel wasnt well predisposed. Also, they said one price upon reservation and then upon arrival was another one. AWFUL AWFUL.

stayed here for two weeks, and customer service and cleanliness are totally unmatched. The only issues I had were mostly about the room itself, mostly because we had some floor boards loose and the wind blew off a little sheet of ceiling leaving it exposed. Besides, I had breakfast included and while it was mostly great, some of the containers for water and milk didn’t seem to be cleaned properly making some things taste like what was in the container before. When it comes to service itself, the staff was more than helpful and kind, clearly one of the hotel biggest highlights, along with general cleanliness, I’d like to thank Adrian and Eli specifically for being so constantly cordial with me. You

I stayed here in October 2023. The hotel is situated very well and the breakfast is also very good. During my stay I needed help with booking the transfer for my next stay in Patagonia and the Concierge Mariel went above and beyond for 2 days to find proper transport at my next stay and also make the payment. She even accompanied me to a kiosk/payment agency to make my payment for my bus there. This lifted my stay at the NH city hotel to the next level. Lot’s of thanks to Mariel and all the best

Let me start from the good things - the hotel has a prime location, practically a few steps away from Plaza de Maya - the heart of the city. And the other thing the lobby smells really nice. That's about it what I can say good about this hotel. The hotel position itself as a boutique high-end place. I had a premium room, and by all means, it is not neither boutique nor premium. The floor and the furniture all need to be renovated. There are no English channels on TV. The sink is somehow located inside the room rather than in a separated bathroom. But my main issue was internet connection. The wifi was able to provide stable (very low speed connection) for 5 minutes in the best case. I had to constantly refresh and re- log myself. Despite my complaints and promises from reception to fix the problem, it wasn't fixed during my entire stay of 5 days. So if you plan to work from this place- forget about it. One more thing - pay with your credit card rather than with cash it will come out cheaper for you.

Antonio makes the best drinks at this location. He is so sweet. And he listens very well.

It's shown as a five-star hotel, but it's only about a three-star rating. It is not friendly to foreign tourists who speak English because not every front desk staff can speak English. This is not the level of a five-star hotel. The room is old and the sound of the electric machine in the room is quite noisy.

I have to say that I have stayed at many NH hotels Amsterdam, Three in Spain, I think Germany. This one is top notch and I owe it all to Manuela just one of the best reception I received and fixed all my problems. I had purchased a bottle of wine for her even to say thank you. But she was off and I packed it by accident. Oh well I've been to BA three separate times in a month. I will stay at NH Buenos Aires City again.

Nice but older hotel. Rooms are all suites. Electric outlets are only a few and one international outlet. Breakfast at usd 12 is a good deal.

Great location, beautiful architecture of the building. Really nice breakfast, although they only start serving at 7 am. Rooms need renovations and definitely a proper cleaning (things that you don’t clean daily, like windows or curtains). A TV set in my room did not work, which was a bit of a pity.

  • 3/5 Marius De J. 4 years ago on Google
Staff are friendly and helpful. Service is good. But this is defenitely NOT a five star hotel as advertised. Rooms are showing age and rust, shower is in a bath that no large person will fit in. No coffee making facilities in room, etc. I suppose it is not priced as five star but then they should not advertise it as such. Breakfasts was fresh and good but little continental choices.

  • 5/5 Igor R. 5 years ago on Google
The hotel is in a very good location, close to several tourist attractions and to transportation. The room is comfortable and it has universal power outlets, which is a plus, as we only had one adapter for multiple chargers. I still missed power outlets beside the bed, as, like most people, I leave my phone charging overnight and it serves as my alarm clock. The service has been very good. All the staff has been very nice and polite. 🙂

Location is good; facilities are decent but our experience with staff at the reception or at breakfast has NOT been good. They seem to do the very minimum required and they don’t seem to have a good attitude. It seems to be everyone so I think it is the culture at the hotel.

I stayed here for two nights whilst visiting Buenos Aires. Very nice Hotel. Great staff. Quite centrally located also. Good WiFi connection and great Shower! Would definitely stay here again. The buffet breakfast was a bit disappointing. Lots of options but some they advertised on every table turned out not to be available.

Elegant hotel located right beside the Argentina capital buildings. You can walk to see many different buildings and attractions. 5 star service through and through. The breakfast has a great selection and will cater to different cultures. The rooftop pool is small, but is nice to lounge beside. Rooms are well decorated with international power outlets for travelers. Definitely recommend staying here.

Disappointing. Room too small for 2 people. View of air conditioning system from window with a constant hum. Room service tray still in room the following afternoon at 3 P.M. No residents lounge. Breakfast buffet poor. Omelette served nearly cold. Very much a businessman type hotel . Very good location.

Hotel is in a very good central location. We booked a double standard over the internet a day before we arrived, they upgraded us to a double superior free of charge. The room is a good size, not to big not to small. It was located near the elevators, you could hear the elevator door bell going on every time someone got in or out of it. Also, if people are loud while entering or existing the elevator, you could hear them clearly. I guess that means sound travels in both directions in and out of the room. It wasn't that bad though... Breakfast was included and it was pretty good, quite rich in variety. Very good deserts! Overall I would say the stay was not bad at all. Friendly staff and clean house keeping.

A simple hotel, the breakfast was not bad, but not many options. The staff was friendly, but not able to solve an issue, in case there is one.

My husband and my three boys recently visit the hotel. Unfortunately, my oldest got sick with a stomach bug. The hotel was not only clean, neat, safe and professional but they treated my family very nicely. They went up and above to make a very difficult situation into an easier one. I am very grateful with everyone who help and treated them kindly and will visit them in the future without a doubt.

This hotel would not honor a credit through COVID. They were happy to take my money through hotels.com, but will not give me my credit. What a disgrace, how could I get there when all the borders were shut!

An amazing location right in the heart of old Buenos Aires. Walk to Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada as well as trendy Puerto Madero. I want to thank Tamara and the breakfast crew for making the start of my day so special as well as Gabriel and all the front desk staff who were so kind to us.

It was our anniversary trip coupled with Christmas. Manuela, the front desk staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and ever so helpful. She made us feel welcome and looked after. She upgraded us to a room with a balcony and made our stay memorable and magical. We lived our stay so much we decided to stay an extra day. Thank you, Manuela. We will always remember our stay here. Management should really commend Manuela for being a wonderful host and all-around amazing person.

  • 3/5 Sebastian D. 1 year ago on Google
Wouldn’t rate it any higher than 3. The hotel was pretty, and close to many tourist attractions. The bar staff was extremely friendly, Georgina was a gem. Downside, the wifi would cut out throughout the hotel a only worked in a corner of our room. The cleaning staff didn’t show more than once and we had to notify the front desk multiple times that we needed towels and even toilet paper. Check in and check out was seamless, would probably be back.

Great hotel and place to stay if visiting Buenos Aries! Don’t forget to meet Andres and Melina before hitting the pool! They were great hosts and made us even more welcome by sharing all that they know to make our holidays even great! Truly enjoyed their company.

The service is really bad, they treat you in a disdainful way, the rooms do not have a socket to charge the phone, there is no curtain that closes completely to close the light in the room. The air conditioner is good

Decent hotel in a central area, staff very friendly. I wouldn't give it 5 star, no way near that. 3-4 star maximum.

  • 5/5 Edward S. 4 years ago on Google
What a fantastic hotel very centrally located in Buenos Aires. A very short walk away from all the tourist attractions and activities with plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Located in a very safe neighbourhood. Very friendly staff who were more than happy to help with any question. A good sized breakfast room with plenty on offer from fresh fruit to continental pastries and you can even order eggs so they are prepared fresh for you in the manner you wish. Internet was very quick and free and room was very comfortable and clean. Had everything could possibly need. Swimming pool is available at the hotel and well as dining options. Will definitely recommend this hotel for staying in Buenos Aires and will definitely be back. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.
