We wanted dessert after dinner so we walked a couple blocks over to check out Nuvola Gelato & Dolci. 18 gelato and sorbetto flavours to choose from. Prices for cups are $5.95 (small) to $7.95 (large). - Regular cup ($6.95) - we went with the blackberry sorbetto and passionfruit gelato. Blackberry was the better of the two; good fruity flavour. Unfortunately, the passionfruit was odd. They put a dollop of puree on top but the gelato itself was plain. Stick with Nuvola's sorbetto options.

A small place with a good selection of gelato and sorbetto. Being lactose intolerant myself, I typically have to limit myself to non-dairy options, however Nuvola has a great spread of sorbetto options. All sorts of fruit flavours are on offer, and you can have 2 flavours at a time, so what's not to like? They also have 2 patio tables outside that seat 3 in the shade. Perfect for taking a gelato break on a hot summer day.

Great little gelato store. They have many in house made flavors along with some baked items. The owner is super friendly and nice. He lets you try everything and is very engaging and willing to help. The prices are pretty fair and they bake cakes as well as ice cream cakes.

Lovely place! Great Covid protocols in place. The Tiramisu was to die for! My daughter loved her gelato and my hubby’s afagato was perfect! So many delights to try! We will come back again.

This Gelato shop not only serves the traditional gelato in cups or cones, they also have lots of other Italian dessert, gelato bars, and cakes! They don't have huge flavor selections and the display cases were essentially split equally into 3 equal parts: the cakes, bars, then the traditional gelato. We both got the medium cup and you can pick 2 flavors. My husband got the Lime Mint and Lemon and I got the Raspberry and Hazelnut. Their texture reminds us of the traditional gelato we got in Italy. Somewhat rich and dense, ultra silky smooth, and melts so fast! Some other places that call themselves gelato sometime feel more like ice cream. We prefer gelato for the less air, smooth and silky texture. Will definitely come back to try their other flavors.

I enjoy their ice cream, but the consistently unfriendly service by the owner has made each visit frustrating. Their demeanor is persistently sour, which affects the overall experience. A warm and friendly atmosphere can greatly enhance an ice cream treat, but sadly, that's lacking here. It's reached a point where I hesitate to bring friends or family due to the poor service. I hope the owner considers this feedback and works on being more customer-friendly for a better overall experience

Easily the best Gelato I have ever had. Unreal how flavorful and fresh it tasted! Definitely will be returning!

This is my happy place! The gelato is so authentic and delicious. The owner is also very kind. I try to come in at least twice a month... more when the sun is out!

Authentic Italian Gelato place. Its tiramisu is great too. Only thing I could complain is a little bit overpriced for the pint Gelato or you need to buy 5 pints.

Sooooo good, you will be amazed. Perfect handmade Gelato from an ITALIAN, soft, creamy and rich favorites. Very different and non-comparable from factory Gelato which most of shops serves. This is definitely a “MUST TRY” in Vancouver!

Stopped in for a quick coffee and latte, and to our surprise two of the best drinks we’ve had since we moved to the lower mainland. Will definitely be back to try out the sweet treats. Service was also great!

Hands down…the best gelato place in this neighbourhood. It’s opened by an Italian family (I think??), so their stuff is legit. Highly recommend the pistachio.

Lovely owner, great gelato. This is my favourite gelato place around. The ingredients that are used are high quality, the product is always fresh and the place is sparkly clean. I just love this place.

I have been here on several occasions and was beyond pleased with each visit. 1) I had purchased 2 of the 6" cakes that they have prepared in the front display for my friend's birthday and I quote "Omg that cake was literally one of the best experiences in cake they are def top 3 cakes I've ever had and I've had alot of varietals of cakes and flavors and icing combos" That was from my friend who's been in the industry for many decades. 2) I purchased 6 cake pops for my nephew on his birthday. (chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet) And they were all moist and delicious! 3) The gelato is flavorful and has a rich texture to it, and not overly sweet. Its definitely a must have on warm evenings to soothe the palate! Thank you for each pleasant experience!!

Got a cone, ice cream is very good however the discretion used to fill your cone could use some reviewing. Single scope is not filled enough. When questioned about the amount put in the cone, the person said "I know the right amount". My two cents, put more if someone questions it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Was craving some gelato after watching Euro cup finals and decided to go here. Great range of flavours for such a small store! Very delicious gelato. I got the chocolate and strawberry, my husband got the mango and espresso (not pictured). All flavours were delicious and I can’t wait to go back for some more!

IT IS SO GOOD the BEST gelato I've ever had in my life 😻😻😻 They have a lot of unique flavour. I ordered the Canadian Vibes and the Hazelnut and it defined the definition of gelato in my mind again. The tiramisu is also spectacular. The owner is so friendly and kind as well!! I will come back again and recommend this place to all of my friends. Such a wonderful experience on a rainy Sunday!

My favorite ice cream/gelato spot in Burnaby and I've tried all the popular locations. Been coming here since the grand opening. The owner is from Northern Italy and he's there 99% of the time serving customers. Gelato there is very authentic! They are always rotating different favors. Don't bother trying to park on Hastings and just park on the side street (Beta Ave).

We picked up a pint of gelato to go and the service was very friendly and the gelato was delicious!! The quantity of gelato given is very generous:)

Tiramisu gelato is something unique that you should definitely try. A bit pricey BTW.

Big fan of gelato over ice cream - those who know, know. I’m also currently, due to the fire, a displaced Dolce Amore gelato aficionado. So I gave this place a try for the first time tonight and had a cup with Their tiramisu gelato and chocolate Gelato and I was throughly impressed. The tiramisu gelato really does tiramisu justice. If you closed your eyes you would think you are eating cold tiramisu it’s that good. The chocolate gelato was decent on its own and when I mixed a bit of it with the tiramisu gelato on my spoon it did a nice job complimenting it. Overall will visit again, and a solid gelato shop in North Burnaby!
