Went there with some friends got a table right away without reservation, after one hour two other friends came they just ordered hookah,after half an hour they came and kicked us out cuz max time is one and half an hour, we paid more than 150$ whole our table for one and half hour!! The hookah burned after one hour looks like they put tines on it! Never recommended

16 minutes ago- I rarely review anything under 3 stars. But tonight's experience was poor to start and then worst by the end. We went in for a late night happy hour drink/bite around 945pm. The server was taking our order and as a neighbour and patron, I knew that it was happy hour. When asked about the happy hour menu, we were told there was none for night time. A few minutes after the server left the table he returned and provided us with a correction that there was a happy hour menu. No big deal, we were still able to order off of it. 10 minutes later we receive the food and the fries were yam instead of regular potatoes that we had ordered. We got that fixed and were offered them for free. That's nice of the server, but still an error with nothing to gloat about, especially when he came back to say that we ended up getting to enjoy both fries. Still nothing worthy to have me write a negative review on. The last straw was that my friend bought a gift card from Moxies directly on the Moxies website and the reason we went there tonight (as she is from out of town and there are better options as a tourist) was because she had the gift card. The gift card unfortunately was not working due to the fact the company's platform that Moxies works with was out of service and we were told that it happens often. So they told us the gift card that we purchased directly from Moxies would not work and that we need to come back another time when it hopefully works. No other option such as a discount was provided. Both the manager and server responded with "I'm just a worker /server here, what do you want me to do? It's $77.30". As a large chain restaurant this is far from acceptable. And as a resident who lives across the street, I will not be recommending anyone to go to their restaurant unless they accept the poor handling of this situation. This was not a good night in dining out for my friend who is visiting from out of town.

AMAZING!!! Not a place like this in the world, honestly! From the moment you enter, the decor is fabulous! The staff and owner are the most pleasant people! The food and drinks are divine, it’s a very authentic experience. Everything is branded, the space itself screams LUXURY. The location is prime, a 10 minute drive from all parts of the city. I’m blown away, there’s definitely nothing like this in Vancouver.

Hookah is part of many cultures and if you are looking for the real authentic experience to try it all, Living Room Lounge is the place. The lounge runs like an orchestra. Mike (owner) is the conductor who is keeping the beat and holding it all together. Pascal (Manger) and the staff, all are playing together as a team to produce full and wonderful complex pieces. The service is excellent. Staff are highly trained and skilled. You never need to wait for the charcoal to be changed and the staff are always around to serve you with gratitude. Staff are very friendly and respectful. The lounge is magnificently beautiful and well taken care of. The lounge has a variety of settings. The Moroccan room gives you the authentic feelings of the whole experience. On a nice sunny day, the lounge opens their patio. I also recommend experiencing the luxury of the VIP room and ROYAL Seating area. If you type of person who would like to have the full experience, then this is the place. The food is delicious, and they have great variety of refreshment. Just be careful if you become addicted to such friendly environment, you will be going there daily, which means that your regular order will be remembered and ready the minute you enter the lounge door!! I went to three different Hookah places in Vancouver before this one and all of them were bad so I wasn’t excited when i went to this place but I really get amazed.. -Big space with beautiful decorations -the food was okay, didn’t liked the rice but the smoothie juice was everything ☑️ -the hookah in point specially with the place vibe -and special tnax for Gabriella service , smiley waitress and so welcoming. Overall totally recommend this place

The absolute best lounge in the metro Vancouver area. It was our first trip to Vancouver and we found this gem on a whim. Hospitality and service is absolutely amazing. The food was incredible. The staff are unmatched. We found ourselves coming back almost every night during our stay. If you’re looking for a classy yet fun vibe this is definitely the place to be. Thanks to the entire team for making our trip so enjoyable.

This is by far one of the best lounges in the Lower Mainland! The service is impeccable and the environment and decor are beautiful. It feels like I’m in a different world every time I come here. Originally from Edmonton, came to Vancouver to have a good time. Living room lounge is a very nice place. Loved the vibe, hookah and food was amazing. Owner Mike and staff are very welcoming and considerate. Gabriella and Tamara made sure we had everything we needed. If looking for a nice vibe, good music, hookah and food not to mention their pistachio ice cream for sweet lovers … Living room lounge is the place to go. Thank you for such a good experience 😄

I've never enjoyed herbal shisha this much, usually get dry-mouth after but they know what they're doing. Excellent wait staff and others. If you haven't been, you must! AAA+.

Good vibe, the energy is good, hookah is good and food is good too! I love the way they pay attention to details, for valentine they have done special designs and will have belly dance , our hookah at first didn’t have any flavour, but they were more than ok to change it and brought us a new one which was amazing, no headache after hookah. I've never really been "crazy" for similar places, but this one is a pure gem! It can be the perfect spot for a party, as much as the best place to just chill. The food is really good, honestly much better than the average in similar bars. And, obviously, I can't avoid mentioning the incredible (and not too expensive) selection of hookah. Special mention also to the waitress that served us, Gabriela (Gabby!!) Very professional and at the same time easygoing, she made us feel super welcome and she literally went out of her way to make sure we'd have an amazing time! :)

Okay - so 5 stars for service and 2 of the best mojitos in Victoria. My wife's dinner - noodles, an excellent sauce and chicken 4.5 out of 5 stars and then there was my chew-fest they called a steak. Most of it came home in a box and after rinsing off an excellent sauce or topping got cut up into small pieces and into the dogs' bowl. They loved it. So 1 out of 5 on the steak, 5 out of 5 for service gives them a 6 out 10 for my side and 9.5 for my wife's side.... so 15.5 out of 20 or 7.75 out of 10 or 3.5 out of 5. I'm rounding it down because after explaining to both of the wait staff that the steak was so chewy I was going to try it on my dogs - all I got from the waiter was the bill and from the young lady wait helper was a dragging comment about how sometimes they get a supply of steak that is chewy and she would tell the chef. However, that didn't make the my steak any less chewy. Oh well till next time. Gjc

Finally a hookah lounge with class and events going on!!! This is an unreal venue, they absolutely killed it with this space and the interior design. Warm and welcoming experience was given to us by the lovely host and the owner, Mike, was so nice! We were running a bit behind on our reservation and he didn’t rush us at all. The drinks and hookahs are both good and strong and the servers are awesome, mine , Teo, was always there when I needed her and never bothered when I didn’t. She was so sweet and had such a fun character, I even witnessed a group of them go over to a table to sing happy birthday to someone it was super sweet! I might plan my birthday here 😂 We’ll be back soon!

Best place in town. Hospitality and ambience is really good. Manager Mike is really accommodating. Moreover, he made sure all our requests were fulfilled. They have a great range of drinks to accompany with the hookahs. Our server made sure to frequently change our coal. I would likely come back here again and hope to have best service that i had from Mike.

Stopped by here a few nights ago with a friend. Our server Joe made a good recommendation with a lemon kiwi mint hookah and some Sangria. The food looked tasty although i didn't try any. We enjoyed the fun vibe here.

Really nicely decorated lounge but unfortunately the manager seem to invest mostly in the style of the place and not much in the staff. Cannot have a nice classy place that is run by youngesters who lack experience and can be rude and pushy which kills the whole experience there

I have lived downtown Victoria for the last 12 years. I love the level of professionalism of the servers of Moxie's. Several of my favourite items on the menu have been discontinued due to Moxie's HQ but the atmosphere and the servers service puts them above the rest of Victoria. My two favourite servers are RJ Fraser and Sig. Every time I have entered Moxies RJ has always made my wife and I feel special and is aware of our food (and wine) history. He will even come outside to say hello when we are just passing by to the grocery store to say hi. Keep it up guys. This is exactly what we need in this crazy time we are all living in right now. Bravo

Great salmon and calamari, nice ambiance, not busy for lunch. Taking off one star cuz we got some attitudal service couple of times when dining in, but the rest of times everything was great, depends on what person you get. All in all pretty good, we'll be back!

Had the worst dinner here recently (October 2020). I pre-booked a table for 3 and we were given a table for 6 (2 tables put together, which was super awkward, not cozy or nice at all, it would have been nice if they could have separated the tables to make it not feel like we were the only diners in a banquet hall. It was at least 10 feet from other diners in the big empty space by the aquarium, which albeit I did ask to be "near" for our 5 year old. We adults had the 7oz sirloins which was the thinnest gamiest, gristle filled piece of meat I've ever seen in a nice restaurant, well over the rare we ordered. I guess the gristle strips conducted the heat through the flesh and the little strips of meat in between got overcooked..? At the time I was really really disappointed but also understanding that Covid has hurt restaurants business and profits so instead of raising the prices they cut back on quality and sides. I would have preferred to pay more and not leave hungry. We even shared an unmemorable appetizer and a dessert, how does $120 worth of food not fill up 2 women and a child? The service was fine but I've enjoyed Denny's more (similar gamey cut of sirloin) for a third of the price. I will never go back.

The food are tasty although I thought I would get something else but it turns out pretty well. Plus point for the healthy options they have.

I absolutely adore this place, I’m so happy it’s just a 5 minute walk from my apartment.

01.10.2020 OILY - glistening. Even dripping. Over spiced big time on the chicken. Burnt in a lot of places. Avocados mostly brown. (How can a cook feel confident serving this?) And why isn't there someone checking the food before it gets served? Mango sauce tastes like mango syrup from a slushy machine. What a waste of money. Threw the entire thing into compost. Never returning.

My family and I just had an awesome meal and service experience thanks to a server named RJ. If you are fortunate enough to have RJ as your server, you will be gifted with a dining experience full of fun banter and foodie knowledge to make you feel well taken care of. Thanks for the 5 star service, RJ!

A bottle of water (bottled tap water, mind you) is $10 and a rum and coke with a double shot is $30. The servers aggressively told me to put on a mask while I was standing aside for my friend to leave her booth. (I am not anti-mask, this just seemed overzealous). The fire alarm went off while we were there and no one was evacuated despite the servers voicing that it smelled of smoke. Their solution was to close the blinds. I went outside because I wasn't sure what was going on only to see the manager arguing outside with some neighbours. The whole scene was quite frankly totally pathetic and embarrassing.

I recently visited the Living Room Hookah Lounge and had an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming ambiance. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff members who went above and beyond to ensure my visit was enjoyable. The first thing that struck me was the speed of service. Whether it was bringing our drinks or setting up the hookah, they were quick and efficient without compromising on quality. Not only was the service fast, but the servers were also extremely friendly and helpful. They greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel right at home. They were knowledgeable about the different hookah flavors and helped us choose the perfect one to suit our preferences. Throughout the evening, they regularly checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed, further enhancing our overall experience.

Best place in town. Hospitality and ambience is really good. Manager Mike is really accommodating. Moreover, he made sure all our requests were fulfilled. They have a great range of drinks to accompany with the hookahs. Our server made sure to frequently change our coal. I would likely come back here again and hope to have best service that i had from Mike.

My first time at a hookah bar! My experience was amazing. The hosts, Mike, was funny and took care of me even though I was American. Just kidding but for real the experience was top notch. Will be back if I’m ever in the area again.
