This place is amazingly good. Reminds me of a bubble tea place but slightly elevated. They have a variety of dishes to choose from and their menu can be a bit overwhelming. They do have chef’s recommendation menu and have a look around to see what others are ordering if you aren’t sure what to get. Best to break down what you want ei 1 carb/1 meat/ 1 veg dish etc. The fried rice and the beef broccoli was a bit bland for our tasting. Good atmosphere and attentive servers. It’s our new Asian food hang out.

Hands down the best Chinese/ Taiwanese late night go-to. Pros: 1. Widest range of dishes I've seen so far. 2. Most of the dishes I've tried are actually authentic, including desserts!! 3. Super friendly price! 4. All staffs are super friendly and the dishes was served quickly! 5. Spacious dine in environment with huge TV. Cons: 1. Parking lot is tight and single-directional, yet street parking is accessible. *Probably just 10% of the dishes are vegan/vegetarian friendly just by observation.

A nostalgic spot for Taiwanese food. They have a really, really extensive menu so it was hard to choose what to get. You press the button for service and the servers are quite quick. The food also came out very promptly. We got a few dishes to share. My favorite was the popcorn chicken. Truly fried and seasoned to perfection. The beef noodle soup and fried rice were both very delicious as well. The seafood laksa wasn’t very great - the one at deer garden is better. It tasted a little pasty at Myst.

You get what you pay basically. All of the items are mediocre but they aren’t tasteless or greasy. The sausage and deep fried tofu are dried, the beef from beef noodle is tender but lack of flavour, the marinated dish is nothing special but considering the price, it’s actually pretty decent. Will probably come back to try other stuff when in town.

Went breakfast. It was lots of food. But it was yummy. Kids like continental breakfast and I like Taiwanese style. Both works and had good time. They said will charge 2% credit card charge from next month or something. I know they can charge now on. But should do better way I think.

Wanted to check this place out for a long time after many friends’ strong recommendations. Well, they are right. This place is crazy good! First of all, they are busy even late into the night. Jammed packed with people waiting in line. But their turnover is also quick. I haven’t seen that many servers running around in a restaurant for a long time since the pandemic. Fast service and great attitude. Secondly, the menu is crazy thick with so many options it gave me a headache! Deciding what to order can be challenging. Finally, the food is fantastic! The Taiwanese crispy stinky tofu is delicious and authentic. The Japanese egg-wrapped rice with curry is huge and tasty. The Taiwanese fried noodle had more ingredients than noodles.

Wanted to try something a little different from traditional HK breakfast places and this place delivered on it! I love the menu and the selection of various breakfast items. So many combinations and some items you would normally find in Taiwan easily. Service was fantastic, portions were generous, price was bang on and taste is great. I would love to go back and try more of the menu!!

I really had high hopes from this place. It's not the fact that the food was average or the drinks were disappointing, but the fact that I've always seen this place packed and now I'm not sure why. The hotpot was dull, to the point where it literally felt like the chef forgot to put seasoning and salt in the food. Safe to say that this place is pricy. The service was pretty fast and we got our food in less than 10 mins after ordering. The drinks on the other hand came when we had almost finished our meal. Had to ask the server 5 times to bring the drinks to our table before they actually did.

We decided to visit MYST for some late dinner and just as an FYI, it can get pretty busy during the night so be prepared to wait a bit! We ordered the New York AAA Steak platter, the beef noodle soup, a beef brisket and tendon stew with rice, as well as deep fried pig trotters. The food took awhile to come out (which is understandable since it was quite busy), but one dish didn't come out until 15 minutes after the rest of the table received their meal. I was a little disappointed with the steak portion considering the price and was not asked about the doneness of the meat. Overall, it was a pretty mid experience.

We came here for lunch on Chinese New Year. After we settled into our seats, we spent a lot of time looking at the menu, which was as thick as an encyclopedia. It had way too many selections and often confusing combinations. We finally decided on Thai style sesame boneless chicken steak with noodle, beef noodle, and northeast sour cabbage hot pot. Beef noodles were just OK, the Thai chicken was tender and very flavourful. The sour cabbage hot pot was delicious, but the portion was so small. Overall, it was a good experience.

    - Fantastic dining environment - the servers were friendly and patient - Really Really big menu, my first time seeing over 300 combination options for a Asian restaurant in Vancouver - food quality were beyond expectations, everything was well seasoned and generous in proportion. The vege we ordered for a very good wok hey. - food were delivered 6-8 minutes after ordering, VERY fast Will definitely revisit again when I come to Burnaby.

I’ve visited Myst’s sister restaurant, No1 beef noodle a lot and highly enjoy their food. I came to try their shaved ice specifically (we also ordered deep fried squid as a snack, our usual go-to). The presentation was super neat with the dry ice and they gave a lot of ice, and a huge scoop of ice cream. The ice here was different than most places I’ve been to, it was in ribbons Vs shaved slivers. This made the ice slightly more chewy and creamy. This wasn’t a bad thing, but I think I preferred my ice crispier so it felt more like true bingsu. This creamy ice almost just tasted like I ate a bowl of ice cream. While I did enjoy it still, I probably would keep trying other places to find my go-to. They were decently busy at around 8:30-9 still so food took a while to come. However our server was great and came frequently still to fill our tea.

Lots of delicious food here. Will come back. Update: 11/26/2023 came during breakfast time, a bit on higher side for price, ordered the taiwanese egg roll, taiwanese beef noodle and pork knuckles, they are pretty good. The Noodle in beef Noodle itself taste very slippery. Very interesting.

Updated-Nov 2023 Came back after a few months and tried their breakfast on weekday. They actually have a buy one get one 50% off which was a great surprise. Price was on the higher end but loads of options. You won't get bored even if you were to eat here everyday. Would definitely come back. Love this place. Price is fair with huge portion. My friends had 2 different beef noodles, both were good. I had the BBQ pork on rice, that's so yummy. Just one note though all parties have to be present before you'll be seated. They have big TVs showing sports channels so it really got my kid's attention (so we got up stay longer). Highly recommended.

Change of pace. What an interesting restaurant. Flavors are all unique. Try the champion beef noodle soup. If you are tired of the ordinary, this is a great place to visit.

Everything was good, especially the Taiwanese chicken nuggets. One of the best I've had. The noodles were good too. The Japanese fried rice was a bit too sweet for my liking and the sweetness from the sauce was unexpected. The deep fried squid was disappointing as it was chewy and tough to eat, although the flavor was good. The Shanghai dumplings were actually good and I was pleasantly surprised.

2% credit card charge if you pay with credit card. Didn’t find out until the server asked us how we were paying. Remember to bring debit card and/or cash if you want to avoid paying the 2% surcharge. Beef noodles are pretty similar to those from No. 1 noodle house. If you’re familiar with them and are a fan, you’d also love the noodles here. Menu has a vast selection of dishes, drinks, and dessert. There’s probably something for everyone. Small parking lot to the front, but there are some street parking beyond the parking lot and also in the back.

Regular customer alert ⚠️ 📢 Had the Taiwanese Beef Noodle / Chicken Nugget and Deep Fried Squid 🦑🐙🍜🍗 Pros: - Price per portion is reasonable , won't break bank - The atmosphere is upbeat, and they have really upgraded decor which is nice to see - The staff are super attentive and nice - Enjoyed all the food here so no improvements really!! - The always are changing things up adding something fun to the mix like rewards type.

Delicious food with tons of selection from different regions of china mainland & taiwan. You can always find what you desire and the service is fast and good. Their price is fair enough. I recommend it to my family and all of my friends.

A regular customer here. I always come back for the champion beef noodle soup and its always consistent. Their deep fried squid and nuggets are really good as well, probably the best place to get them here in Vancouver. Their service is fast, almost like a fast food restaurant. If I was in a hurry, I'd still drop by. Glad the place is open late until 1am compared to other places!

We love this restaurant! Service is amazing. The staff are so attentive and are quick with getting requests taken care of. The place itself is big so our party did not feel crowded at all. There’s big booths for big parties. Prices are reasonable and the portions for any dish are more than enough for one person. The fruit smoothies are a must-have!!

Came here late on a Friday and got seated right away. Lots of parking out front. The atmosphere is very nice, and clean. Almost club vibes with the lights and music playing. The service was good, and after ordering the food came out very fast. I only ordered the yam fries, rice, and spring rolls, plus a milk tea. The yam fries I did not like. It came with a weird custard. Everything Else was not too bad. Their menu is HUGE and ranges from meals to bubble tea and desserts so a lot to choose from

Love the variety of Asian dishes at this lively restaurant in South Burnaby. The menu is like a book. Fantastic service, good portions and delicious food. Highly recommend for families and groups. We will be back!

This place is great if you have a group of friends who all want something different. There are so many choices on the menu that I'd recommend deciding on a type of food first and then just looking at those options rather than trying to read the whole menu. I love the variety because it means I can usually always find something that I'd enjoy and every dish I've had there so far has been flavourful. I'd recommend one of the taiwanese street snacks if you want sides. Their daily side dishes are also usually good. Atmosphere is good, usually bustling. Good for gatherings/hang-outs. They have call buttons which are really convenient since the place is pretty large and busy. Service is good. Prices are decent, it can go from moderate to expensive since there's quite a range on the menu. Overall, I'd recommend this place and definitely would come back.

We got there randomly, but never regretted it! The menu's variety makes you think a lot and take your time deciding what to order. And the serving sizes (we ordered soups) are huge. The food is really tasty and we were also fortunate to visit this place during the nice promotions. Will definitely come again!

It's great to have so much to choose from the menu, it's almost overwhelming... but so far food has been great. only done take out here, but everything has been very fresh and impressive!!!

Huge menu, lots of selections. One of the better places for Taiwanese food in Metro Vancouver. Their soup dumplings were subpar though. Must get: any of their fried goodies and beef noodle soup.

Interesting fusion restaurant combining Eastern and Western brunch dishes. The food was good but not very memorable or amazing. Some of the dishes like congee and beef noodle soup were a little bland. Service was friendly and efficient.
