Amazing staff and yummy fresh high quality Indian food! I came here yesterday to dine in and ordering tonight on Uber since I enjoyed the experience yesterday! Thank you Desi Turka staff :)

The food was amazing!!! I can say one of the best Indian food that I’ve ever had so far!! The costumer service was really good, the girl who served us was so friendly, patient and helpful. In total, great experience.

It was quiet and unassuming so we took a chance - the food was outstanding. Well worth a visit. Take the recommendations of the staff, they won’t disappoint.

Had a super lamb Biryani. Ordered takeout and order was prepared when I get there. Great portion Great taste Hope this will be consistent, thanks desi turka

(EDIT: i was contacted by the restaurant promptly. they apologized and explained to me how the issues with the bones and the chat messages could have occurred, as well as how they were working to resolve those issues. they also asked what i was looking for as far as compensation, and we reached a satisfactory agreement. Very professional and everything was fully resolved. thank you!) (EDIT2: removed photos, as issue was resolved.) my roommates and i ordered from here last night: i got the goat curry. it tasted pretty good, but my dish was filled with bone shards of various sizes. many of these were very sharp or pointy; at one point i took a bite that i thought was safe and cut the inside of my gums. i went through the dish and picked out (what i hoped was) all of the bones and set them aside. ...about a quarter of the dish was just Bones. several of them didnt even have any meat attached. i tried to bring this up to the restaurant through the Chat feature. my messages were seen and marked as "read" but i did not get any replies from the restaurant. no offer to refund that dish, not even "We're sorry about your experience."

This place has the authentic Indian flavour, so far the best Indian food I have had as compared to many other places in vancouver and lower mainland. Must try: Dal bukhara, Biryani and Indian style momos.

On the border of New West and Burnaby lies a little venue that serves some of the best Indian food I've ever tasted. I wish my basmati rice would turn out like Desi's. The lamb vindaloo was tasty; the mild spice was perfect for us cowards, as was the butter chicken. Just delicious. It's a very nice cozy restaurant with about 10 tables, with a liquor license and a few free parking spots in the back. We've been before and we'll definitely return. Thank you!

Excellent service and phenomenal food. We haven’t tried anything in the restaurant in terms of food products and menu items that is less than exceptional. Inder, who is one of the great servers at the restaurant has helped us to navigate the menu. Each visit here gets better and better.

Arshiya, my server with amazing blue eyes, really helped make my experience a great one. The music was very enjoyable, and the food was some of the best Indian food I've ever had. The atmosphere was very good. Thank you. I'll come back some time. :)

Delicious food, great value, attentive staff, amazing!! Highly recommend the coconut rice. We used to go somewhere else, but we will be going back here instead, for sure!

This place is a hidden gem. Small, comfortable, and cozy establishment. Service can be slow but the food is worth the wait. I've visited twice in 10 days. The dishes are full of flavor. The menu offers a plethora of aromatic dishes. Try the rasmalai, the meat pakora platter, Chana masala and samosa. Will be back again.

I visited this place about 10 times now and I never get disappointed. Service is fast and food is amazing. I'm trying a new menu item every time I visit and they all taste very different buy consistently tasteful.

The food is always phenomenal, most ordered meal is butter chicken and garlic Naan with some rice. Perfect quality all the time. In comparison to tasty Indian bistro this is up there. Great quality and hopefully they maintain it. Price point is up there as well. PARKING: is at rear of building opposite of main street. It's a little awkward but close enough. Limited to about 10 cars I believe.

We went out for a double date night with our favourite date night couple at my favourite Indian restaurant, Desi Turka! We ordered:  Naan, Kashmiri Naan, Pulao rice, Papri Chaat, Vegetable Pakora, Butter Chicken, Eggplant Bharta, Vegetable Jalfrazie, and Mango ice cream Everything here is so flavourful. If you're an eggplant lover like me, then I highly recommend the Eggplant Bharta; if you're a fan of butter chicken then you should definitely give theirs a try! Their naan is superb. We especially love their Kashmiri naan, which has a sweet filling inside it. Papri Chaat is what really stood out for me this time as it was the first time we'd ever ordered it. It was so zesty and refreshing, with a delightful tanginess to it. This was our first visit back the restaurant since prepandemic. So happy to finally make it back here! I was craving for some North Indian food when I stumbled acrossthis place in Burnaby! They have amazing vegetarian food options and all of them are delicious! Food items that stand out for me are Momos, Paneer Makhnee and Malai kofta! I would definitely recommend this place for people who like North Indian Cuisine!

We had Vegetable Samosas and the Chicken Chettinad. The samosas were fragrant and the curry was creamy. I would definitely recommend.

Found Desi Turka while googling for an Indian Restaurant, we drove a little ways to eat here and well worth it. This was our first time at Desi Turka and we loved it! Nice little restaurant with great service and food. We ordered the Tandoori chicken momos, Gobi Manchurian, butter chicken, lamb vindaloo, garlic naan and pulao rice. All delicious and will definitely be back!

The food here is incredible and the staff is fantastic! We ordered butter chicken and lamb curry along with some rice and naan. The curries were top tier and the garlic naan was some of the best I’ve ever had. Bhavor was our waiter and he took great care of us. We can’t wait to come back another time!

Delicious food and great service. I had catering order - Samosa n veg pakora, Shahi paneer, mix veg, butter chicken, Garlic naan, veg pulao and Gulab jamun. It was delivered on time. All good items were tasty and delicious. Gulab jamun were awesome.

Arehia and another worker were helpful and always asking do we need anything! Food were fresh and delicious. You can choose limit of spices which is good for who doesn’t like spicy! On weekend they are working till 2AM which is nice for who working all the days and can hangout late night! Best Indian food and best service ever we had. It was decent experience in restaurant, but we enjoyed our time as a group. We ordered Butter Chicken, Goat Currey and Goat Masala (with full of bones). The Garlic Naan and Rotis were delicious. Food taste we found to be average as compared to restaurants in Surrey. We requested to make curries little spicy, but they couldn't satisfied our taste buds. The prices for dish are also costly as compared to similar restaurants in Surrey area.

Best food, best service, great attitude. We ordered appetizers and main course. Appetizers; 10/10, first time ever in canada in 4 years i liked the Tandoori Momos(must try), Chilli Chicken; lightly sweet and spicy. Main course; 9.5/10. Chicken Tikka Masala and Bharta, both amazing. Service- 11/10, tbh best service i have ever had in an Indian Restaurant. Will visit again soon.

This restaurant is me and my boyfriend’s go to place almost every weekend these days!! I’m not a fan of spicy food, but they have a lots of menu to choose from and even can adjust spicy levels. Try Butter chicken and Garlic Nann you’ll be beyond happy 😃 Thanks to Inder and all the staff for the great service and recommendations☺️

Simply straight forward and good. The lunch special with tip came to $22. Chai was perfect, not too sweet. Mix Parantha was lovely. They gave generous raita, mango pickle, and butter. It hit home and totally satisfied my craving. I wish the parantha was a tiny bit crispier but it was good.

Korma chicken has been switched to White brest Dry meat it used to be very good with the dark meat they had but now they switched it and it's extremely dry would not recommend
