Average hotel although highly priced. It's very old and furniture is old and rooms are not clean. The window and the chair in my room are falling apart. The fridge is barely working and there's not even a kettle. Staff are rude and do not offer any help. It's a trap! Find another place to stay.

Lovely suite, easy and comfortable, kitchenette had all basic amenities, room had heating, housekeeping included dishes were washed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ideally located as Giza Pyramids and parks and sports club and local stores like alfa were close by. Beautiful view to the Nile with sports activities can be enjoyed. Great variety breakfast. Value for money

The hotel is well located. The service is friendly and helpful especially at the front desk (Mr. Eslaam and Ms. Habiba). Internet is unpredictable.

Nice hotel in zamalek (down town) Parking is not available so valets take the car and prk it in the nile main street. You have to call them 10 minutes before you leave to bring you the car. But they were friendly and doing their best to keep you happy The hotel lobby is so small but elegant The rooms designs are classic and elegant It overlooks the nile (i booked nile view). The view is nice but noisy. You can’t keep the bacony open for a long time 😂 The room is clean but i advise them to clean the windows. Breakfast is simple with no varieties and the restaurant is super small but the chiefs were smiling and ready to serve you. The hotel is so close to genenet asmak, many restaurants as macdonalds, hardees and metro market.

A very nice place in Zamalek. Very clean. Staff was extremely helpful and doing great. Their pastries from « Postres » are tasty, specifically one with cinnamon. The breakfast was good, with fresh and local fruit, with vegetables, soups, waffles 🧇.

Stayed here for 4 days with family. Enjoyed the stay. Friendly staff. I was on official duty and my wife was spending day time alone. The service lady Tahya was helpful for my wife. Thanks a lot Tahya. The room was clean i am attaching some photos here. Breakfast also was excellent.

Fantastic Hotel. The room was great although the lighting is a bit dim. The bed was comfortable. Great hot water and good pressure in the shower. I travel a lot and this hotel has the best free breakfast of anyplace I've ever stayed at in 60 years. A huge buffet with anything you'd ever want for breakfast. The staff is warm and friendly. The hotel very close to the Nile River and walking distance to a great river dinner cruise. Also, at the nearby gym I got the best athletic massage ever at a great price, complete with use of the sauna and steam room.

Rest of the reviews seems decent but I got a terrible room. 1. The sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain well at all. 2. The shower was clogged so I couldn’t use the shower for long or else it would become a bath full of water. 3. They gave me one toilet roll for 8 days. 4. The telephone didn’t work. 5. The remote was broken so the tv didn’t work. When I opened to look at batteries it had been bent. (Egyptians bend/bite on batteries when it’s not working so there’s more “juice” in it and lasts longer. How cheap can you be! Just buy new batteries!? 6. Mattress was HORRRRRIBLE. The springs were digging into my back. Was so uncomfortable. 7. One bottle of water only. No kettle, no tea bags or coffee. 8. No mini fridge. Such a bad experience. The only decent thing was the breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great location for hotel although rooms are hit and miss. Some are huge and spacious, some are tiny with 2 beds and barely room to walk in between. The carpets can be dirty. Watch out for the bar downstairs, waiters don’t give back the change unless you chase them down. DO NOT Eat at the 10th floor restaurant. Took 1h30 before they even took our order. Dinner was mediocre at best and took 3 hours because the service wasn’t just slow, but non existent

I was given a large room as a "gift". Think I just got lucky. Considering the competition this hotel is great value for money. It seems in Cairo you can pick between either a slum or a very expensive palace and Flamenco Cairo is neither, just a decent hotel at a decent price. Remember though, cleanliness standards in Egypt are different to those in Europe, but the same goes for most of the expensive palaces as well. Breakfast in a country where butter and pork are not used, bread, dairy products and deli meats are different to the ones we are used to back home, will always be not good enough but that's my personal preference/taste. Still the breakfast buffet is rich and varied and guests seemed to love it. TLDR a decent option in a lovely neighborhood of Cairo. I will stay again on my next trip. Special mention to the lovely people in reception ❤️

This is an ideal hotel for a stay in Cairo - especially first time / nervous travellers. You can easily walk around the area and find great food and drinks without the sheer madness of downtown. Having experienced other hotels in Cairo this one is amazing value, location is great and provides a very pleasant stay overall.

My stay was short but but I enjoyed it very much. The staff was super friendly and responsive. I’m sure I’m getting their names wrong but I dropped my laundry off to Habiba and she delivered quickly same day Eslam upgraded my room, and it is in a great location. Everyone was friendly and the room was a great price. I would recommend

Staff was very polite, spoke english and tried his best to make you feel welcome. We had good dinner, good breakfast and the location was also nice. It's not the newest interior, but everything has been cleaned properly! It's exceeding the egyptian standard. Beware that Cairo is a pretty loud city, so I'd recommend to take a room to the sites.

I would say that cleaning is good, location good as well, however, the providing internet is difficult in this hotel, you can’t access more than device, the way to access is difficult more than I expected, therefore, it has lots of issues, you have to do same thing every time you want to use internet, internet is essential service any hotel had to consider about, without internet I wouldn’t stay anymore

The hotel is situated in Zamalek which is like the posh and happening place in Cairo. This hotel has 2 views, one towards the Nile and other opposite of it. My advice would be to book the Nile view, because the other view is terrible. The hotel claims to be 4-star rated, but it is definitely not even 3-star. It has no facilities which can put it at 4-star. Basic things like a gym, swimming pool, etc. are not available. The breakfast they serve is monotonous. In room services are bad. Like they have nothing in the mini freezer and it's not even working. They don't have plates. The staff is away from welcoming non-arabic guests. Most of them have difficulties in communication. For me- I stayed their for 10 nights, my company booked the hotel considering it to be 4-star property. The initial room was pathetic. The AC was not working, the room was stinky. Later I upgraded and moved to a Nile view room which was decent enough.

Great hotel. Staff were very nice and helpful, luxurious decor, classic look, very clean, lovely buffet breakfast and nice little souvenir shop with great prices and a lovely man who owns it. Do not get ripped off in the soukhs! We had the Superior Side Nile View Room and what an amazing view of the Nile river and the city beyond through the juliet balcony. The Adzhan was heard from all directions. Ameen. Absolutely loved it. Special thanks to housekeeper Ridha and all the other hardworking people running the hotel. Well done. Had a lovely stay for 4 nights! The room had complimentary water bottles, coffe/tea making facilities and bathroom toileteries and a safe (very important) The toilet had a built in washing 'hose'. Beds were made daily and towels replenished. Room was cleaned daily. Upon request they allowed us to checkout 1.30pm rather than 12pm too. Hotel easy to find and in a very central location. Giza to the west and old Cairo to the east. Good service, great hotel!

My stay at this hotel was outstanding! The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. The service was exceptional - the staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. The hotel's central location made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city's attractions and enjoying local cuisine. I can't wait to return for another visit!

Nice people, good location (a bit noisy), excellent price, honest breakfast, that's all. Small and dark room, our duvet wasn't covered, no toilet paper, the carpet was filthy, dirty courtines falling down, very bad smell coming out of the drains. I don't recommend the place unless you're really need to stay close to the centre and don't care too much about the room.

One of our worst experiences in Egypt. Very dirty claustrophobic room. Unbearable Traffic noise, torn mattress and soiled linen plus clogged wash hand basin.

Decent rooms but would expect better for the price we paid. Asked for a room with a view but got a 2nd floor room. The room was spacious however and clean. No irons provided and they make you pay for the service. If you're married to an Egyptian citizen, remember to bring along your marriage certificate!

This place is located in the prime area of Zamalek , very near to many things , whilst the hotel itself is not that huge , this hotel deserves all the credits of A 5 star Hotel , Our stay here was of one night, with the side nile view room , the rooms are quite big and very very clean , the bathroom is suberp with semi Jacuzzi inside. The room has an extra place to store lugagge , go full on mirror for getting ready , Some one wrote that the furniture was old ( NOT TRUE AT ALL) the furniture is made of wood and exellent finishing !!!! The staff are really good , The WIFI can be some how annoying and slows down , but for normal browsing its okay , the breakfast is also great although they may add varieties I guess, with a good chef :) I would definately come back to this place :)

Totally recommend it. Very clean, staff are amazing. The location is perfect. Special thanks to Mr. Adel Fathy the night manager who helped me a lot.

  • 2/5 Ian M. 1 year ago on Google
Initially, the staff were very responsive and tried their best; however, I stayed there on three differnt nights as part of a tour, and I required a longer stay until midnight pat my final night in order to catch a flight. I was never given a river view room, and all my rooms were substandard. The staff did not offer me the stay until 6pm option for $50 dollars (in fact, they allowed a female guest to stay in her room until 8pm for the $50 rate); instead, they cut my wifi and locked me out of my room at 4pm, completetly unprovoked, until I made payment which I had every intention of doing upon checkout. They treated me like a common criminal and would not refund part of the $115US to stay until midnight. I felt very discriminated against and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Mamdooh extended a very warm welcome and served a refreshing politeness in dealing with me. His and Habiba’s friendliness made the stay at the hotel memorable and are indeed deserving of a raise. Not to mention Ahmed from reception, who was extremely helpful. They all get 5 stars - Sherif Selim

The location of the hotel, which overlooks the Nile River, gives it stunning views and a calm view that the eye enjoys seeing. Calmness, beauty and simplicity come together in one form. It was a beautiful experience. I give it a high rating for the good treatment and reception.

really enjoyed my stay at the Flamenco Hotel. Mister ESLAM played a major role in facilitating the welcome. My initial plan was to change hotels after my initial stay. I chose to change rooms and stay at the same hotel because of its exceptional service.

View of the River Nile from the hotel balcony which was really great to see, especially sunrise and sunset views were amazing. Breakfast selection was good. Location was busy, all food places nearby which was handy. Staff friendly and helpful.

Even though the hotel is ranked 4 stars, it should be three or two. The staff members are terribly rude and unprofessional. The breakfast is very limited. The room along the Nile was very noisy. The shower had no hot water, and water’s color was sometimes brownish.

Credit to them for ideal location, facilitating staff, big suites with kitchenette, decent breakfast, and overall a homely feeling. Downsides: old building and furniture, a bit pricey and perhaps the 4-star status is untrue.

The hotel was good and pleasant. Lobby area was inviting and well maintained. The rooms we stayed in were ok. The door of our room did not have a closing latch which meant we had to shut it and check again to make sure it was shut properly. The room was generally clean but when I looked behind. The curtains it needed a deep clean and also the tiles in the bathroom needed a good wash. The facilities were expected for the price paid for so I won’t complain about it, but I took away a star because the room needed a deep clean.

I would say the rooms are mediocre karma shower head did not work in my room, had to call for a plumber, but the full moon for breakfast and supper is excellent come and leave it in a really good location and Cairo karma hopefully many people here will come tonight King Jesus Christ as their lord and saviour, believe in her pent, really see what the scripture says about the Gospel of the kingdom of God how your shame can be restored, how we get to worship the King of kings period

I am really not picky or fussy about hotels because I barely spend time in them, but this was definitely not worth the amount you pay per night in USD. The toilet is clogged, the bathroom is dirty, the sheets have stains (old, I hope) Pros: big room, nice shower pressure, great location, and the bed was comfy. But again, not worth $140 USD a night. I also I don’t understand their practices. I came in pretty early and I know check-in is at 2pm. The manager told me the room is ready in 1 or 2 hour. So I said okay. I sit on the sofa. Another person in 5-10 min comes and tells me room is ready but I have to pay extra for early check-in. They could’ve told me that before when I was checking in, it seems like they just wanted the extra $ because when I asked the manager, he was coming up with some sort of excuse to justify what he said earlier. Anyway, I went to pay the $20 and they said never mind. Nothing upsets me more than unclear practices. If we have to pay for early check-in, just say so. But don’t change up your words.

Very nice staff, rooms were fine enough (not cramped, but closer to grimy than to pristine). Wifi doesn't work for more than three minutes at a time, breakfast is not worth your time. Not angry at the place, but would try somewhere else next time

An hotel with a unique personality. You don't have to be an hotel guest to visit the bar in the second floor or the restaurant in the higher floor. You can go enjoy your night there with good service. A little bit expensive but it deserves.

I didn't get the chance to stay there, but I was invited to attend an event at their hall on the 10th floor, I gotta say the hall was not bad , the service was good, the staff were friendly, the food was good, and the view was amazing. I really liked the view and how you can see most of the surrounding areas clearly .

  • 5/5 Jeremy S. 4 months ago on Google • 2 reviews
I booked this hotel through a third party because the pricing was better. Due to travel plans I was to drop my baggage off early in the morning but the staff was very accommodating and checked me in way earlier than standard. There was also issues retrieving my booking but they still got me all checked in and we dealt with the booking problems later the next day. The room was a bit dated but nice. Even on the 11th floor my room faced the street directly into a taller tower so unfortunately no view at all. This hotel is a good value to stay in Zamalek and I would recommend. Hopefully with a better view.
