This is definitely not a place I would recommend to someone with a faint of heart. Most rooms on the first floor are quite dirty. The second floor rooms are cleaner, by virtue of less customers due to more stairs and lack of elevators. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, however, they might try to drag you into expensive tour packages. Overall, I would recommend this place to someone young with a detailed plan on their trip so they would not be distracted by the many tour packages offered. Otherwise, the rooms are generally cold and clean, albeit abit noisy due to all the honking.

Nice place in downtown Cairo in Tahir Square. Pros: Friendly staff offering excellent service. Good value rooms. Close to many shops and places to eat. Some cons: room we got when checking in had four beds crammed and made it hard to move around. Tv was not working. Hot water lasted for only one person to shower. Very noisy at night due to heavy traffic and constant honking, and there was construction going on right in front our room all night. Main lights went out on our last day, but luckily we were moving to different room because they needed the 4-bed room. New room was much better with only 2 beds and everything worked fine. Overall, it was ok for us. If you just need a room to sleep at night and keep your stuff while exploring Cairo, then it is great value for the price.

Smoky, but so is most of Cairo. If you are sensitive to noise or cigarette smoke, this is not the place for you. Our room had a private bath and 3 queen sized beds. One of which was missing the support slats.

The only 2 good things about this hotel is its location and Joseph (one of the receptionist). The hotel’s location is in downtown nearby everything, but the hotel itself is very old and the room I was in was not clean and very dirty. It was very hard for us to sleep during night because of the busy area, the windows didn’t have a noise reducer and they were not sound proof. There were no amenities in the toilet/shower. One housekeeper was very rude by staring and looking unapproachable, we asked her not to do room service as we don’t like out stuff to be touched, but when we came back to the room, we found it arranged but she didn’t change sheets or even towels; she was just curious to know what do we have inside. On the other hand, Joseph was very hospitable and nice by offering free airport pick up.

The room was nice with view of busy talaat harb square. Break fast was not very good, every day is same exact food, no hot food and very basic. Josef the manager after giving us two unfair deal disappeared for the rest of our stay in this hotel. Again i don’t want to mix the hotel with the experience but want to share in more detail. Probably that is the first time I write review, because i don’t want someone else to make the mistake we made. They try to be nice and offer you the tour to Giza pyramid and Nile cruise with private driver. Don’t fall in trap and make sure you know the reasonable price. They say this the best price. Their whole system is very well connected . The hotel guy , the driver , the tour , all the shop they take you. They are all working very smoothly that you think you are getting a good deal but you are not. Rule number 1 : offer 1/4 of original price if they didn’t accept walk away, they will come after you, Rule number 2: if the price is reasonable with dollar in US or Europe that does not mean it is a good deal,

Thank you so much for your excellent service your staff has provided during my stay at Hotel. Mr Eid at your reception was very helpful. Thanks to Mr Karam Mohamed from Lotus Palace that made arrangements for my stay at your hotel. It was home away from my home in South Africa. I will recommend anyone and everyone to your hotel. All the best with your business. Thank you Dawn Bock from South Africa

Good location very central, no lift ! Have to lift your luggage through the stairs. Recommended for young travelers but not elderly. Room was super super super small. If you are on budget , can stay here.

Awesome location! 10 minute walk to Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. Big shout-out to Joseph and Eid! They helped me organize my tour around Giza, Saqarah and Memphis and dinner cruise on the Nile (a bit kitschy, but had to be done!). Only had 3 days in Cairo and they helped me make the most of it, without any pressure to book anything. Thanks guys. Hope to come back again soon!

Well alot of crows en beeping of cars whole day and night.if u dont mind the crowd of cars while sleeping its not too bad.they should work on the maintenance of the rooms.irs traditional but the floor wasn't clean and the shower door was completely falling apart.u should be very patience being here other than that the location was pretty okay. All was nearby.

Good location BUT super dirty hotel entrance and hot shower did not work correctly. Also a remodel would be appreciated. The staff was friendly but always wanted to sell you a tour or dinner. Other than that hotel was OK.

I had an amazing stay at the hotel, the staff were all really friendly and helpful, they gave me great advice about where to visit in cairo, they helped me book an amazing bike cruise as well. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, will definitely be coming back on my next visit to egypt. Also the location of the hotel was great it is in central cairo which makes exploring cairo very easy. Thank you cairo inn for a lovely stay!
