It’s a really nice place to sit and have a beer. Comfortable, fairly cheap and a great view/breeze. It looks like the need someone to invest a little money to renovate the place a bit, but that doesn’t bother me with my beer on the roof.

Good rooftop location bar but let down by everything else. Entrance shabby, lift seems a death trap. Service indifferent which in Egypt is rare. Beer pricey.

You get what you pay for. Dont expect 4 star because its not a 4 star price. Beds were clean and good mattress. Location is superb. Hotel is old. Some abandoned rooms filled with rubble and some clutter. My room was good. Lucky to have nile view even. Aircon was new and worked well. Fridge worked well. Shower worked. Actual room was just fine. Can be a bit noisy with rooftop clientele on party nights. Old, but no bad vibes. I'd recommend for a short functional stay . Rooftop view is also superb.

Pros: Good location great view (both of the Nile and the street) Service is good, the staff are very friendly and courteous. By the Metro this is iffy cause it may in your case be a pro or it may be a con especially on the weekends with teenagers blowing off steam but I don’t think it’ll interrupt your sleep at all since they close the doors at or before midnight depending on which day of the week. Parking can be made available if you pay the independent street valet. A rooftop deck/cafe. There’s an elevator, air conditioning, hot water, telephone and television. The rooms are a bit run down ie. the walls peeling a bit, but that’s just part of the Zamalek charm. The building are quite old and historic so I won’t hold it against them especially at this price point. It’s important to note that they don’t hold different prices depending on your nationality which is much appreciated, nothing makes me feel more welcome or at home then someone affording me the customs as anyone else. I greatly appreciate the wonderful staff who I probably drove mad bringing up my orders but they always made me feel at home and were very accommodating.

It was bad, still have policy of minimum charge 120 EGP for one person tables and chairs not high quality also the drinks. The useful benefit there that u can see the nile at a specific part of that roof

The place is good have two sections one looking at brazil st and the other looking at the nile of course the nile one is the best, but always crowded you will not fins a seat easily at weekends. They serve hard drinkes no cocktails unfortunately only beer and flavored vodka and rum. The prices are $$$.

Where to begin?! I can just only review the roof-top bar and not the hotel itself. The hotel isn’t easy to find when you come from a different direction. But when you stay in front of the complex, the entrance is on the left. Once you entered it, you go straight to the elevator where you have to go to the 4th floor. Then use the stairs to go to the roof-top. It can be windy, consider to bring something warm with you. The view itself is great. Just relax and enjoy the view onto the Nile. Aisha and alcohol is available.

The Nile Zamalek Hotel is a get what you book. It is cheap and for its price good. I've had room 212, no nile view as via booking you can't book nile view. Room was quiet and kinda clean, but yes they could do more cleaning there (windows, toilet, bed sheets..). I asked for early check-in upfront and they've made it possible. Breakfast was an boiled egg, some cheese, one or two bread and some coffee. If you are in a rush let the staff know the evening before when you want to have your breakfast, otherwise you won't make it. It is not a buffet, more like an continental breakfast and it is beside the reception, sadly not on the roof. The roof is amazing and make much out of it, good food for dinner and reasonable prices. If you stay at the hotel please let the roof staff know so you don't have the minimum fee/entrance fee. Outsiders can enter the hotel and roof top, they will he charged an entrance fee and minimum charge. If you are a Traveller, don't look for small details, need a cheap, good located place to stay you will like it. The hotel is old but I think the staff does what they can, some of them have 24h shifts, be nice and they will be nice to you *as everywhere in Egypt. Zamalek itself has many cafes, restaurants, bars, super markets, boutiques, even a tattoo studio between all the embassies. Easy access to other areas with the metro station tight in front of the door or uber.

Most of the Egyptians are super nice but the rudest people work in this place. The place is unhealthy, the manager threw away the menu, the food was cold and the beers were overpriced compared to other places in the same area "zamalek". I do not recommend it for your health.

The view is amazing. But what's shocking is the drinks menu they have 😅. If you're looking for a place to sit down and look at the Nile with some beer sure that's the place for you but if you want other options than beer then find some where else.

It smells as soon you enter the hotel, it should be 1 or a no star hotel, the location is quite good The hotel need a renovation

  • 3/5 Nada A. 6 years ago on Google
Their view is incredible and you can have a drink by the Nile, but that's about it here. It takes time to get the staff to pay attention to you, the food is not exactly a must-have and the fact that they still implement a minimum charge per person is ridiculous. Yay for the view, meh for the place.

Lovely view but the place is dirty

  • 4/5 Emad R. 5 years ago on Google
It's view and location forgives anything else. It's quite reasonably priced, great place to have a chat over a drink almost any time during the day. The staff isn't that good though and food is not really recommended

Very basic accommodation. Yes the sheets were clean but the bathroom was horrendous. Unhelpful staff and no WIFI as advertised. Looking back on previous reviews this has been an ongoing issue for many years. If you like it very basic and cheap, this is the place for you, but I bet you won't use the bathroom!

It was kinda fair, not too bad, would give two if there was no reastaurant/tea place on roof. If you need a room to sleep for a nigt or three this is a good place
