👍 A nice place to stay if you’re visiting Cairo. The rooms are clean & comfortable, although not too luxurious. Do get the rooms facing the gardens, as the rooms facing the river tend to get a bit noisy from the road nearby. If you come in the winter season, bring some slippers as the room floors tend... A nice place to stay if you’re visiting Cairo. The rooms are clean & comfortable, although not too luxurious. Do get the rooms facing the gardens, as the rooms facing the river tend to get a bit noisy from the road nearby. If you come in the winter season, bring some slippers as the room floors tend to get cold as they’re not carpeted. The food is okay, nothing too extraordinary. The lobby is in the 2nd floor, so don’t get confused when entering the building. The elevators are only working upstairs but not downstairs. The location is quite calm, compared to most areas in Cairo as it is in the protected area of the foreign embassies. So there’s not much around the building, but there are some shops nearby within 5-10 minutes walking distance if you need anything. Also, you can get a nice boat ride nearby, across the street in front of the Four Seasons hotel for 200-250LE per hour (sometimes more expensive so you need to bargain). The price is quite cheap for a 2-3 star hotel. But they could do better in terms of services.

Really good value for money! We payed less than 25$ a night for a spacious double room with private bathroom and breakfast included. Isn't that a good deal? We also had a free shuttle from the airport included in the price. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place could use some renovation but it is generally in decent conditions and clean. Breakfast varies every day and is pretty rich. The quality could be better though. I would say that I would come back anytime!

Staff is friendly and that's a positive. The room was acceptable and the air-condition was much appreciated as I was traveling in summer. Shower was a bid small and it was hard to move around for a big person. The breakfast was a miss. The food was generally not fresh and below standards, which is unfortunate because this is part of the room package. I did not appreciate that this hotel had multiple names and the name would change from Nile Meridien to Nile Hotel to other names, and the key would say something different from the menu, etc. This is hostel hotel, although a nice one, and they shouldn't and don't need to 'borrow' the name Meridien to sell rooms. They should just name it whatever they want and stick with it.

Very poor customer service. Dirty bedsheets and no housekeeping. Breakfast was so poor and non of the items were fresh. Omlette was stinky and smelt like raw fish. Staff are not trained. I wanted to refund but it was not possible and I logged a complaint on Booking. I would never stay this place even if it is for free!

Room is clean and nicely furnished but a bit small. The bathroom is fine yet the shower cabin is so tight you'd hardly be able to make any "maneuvers" inside it! I booked a Nile view room. Turned out it's not exactly "Nile" view. You see a bridge crossing the river and tall trees by the river bank hiding the river itself. instead of enjoying the water stream, all you'd enjoy all day long is the never-ending traffic stream! So I'd recommend the garden view which overlooks a nice garden, the four seasons building and a much quieter street. And is a bit cheaper as well. Breakfast is ok. Not much variety specially if you prefer healthy food but does it's job of making you feel full for the morning. Staff is very helpful and welcoming. There was a problem with the water heater and they fixed it the next day and offered me to take a shower in another vacant room till it gets repaired. Hotel is located in an upscale area of Cairo beside the four seasons hotel and some embassies and near all sorts of public transport so you won't have any hard time moving around.

Nice staff. Room doesn't look like that in the pictures in booking.com. paying too much for parking.

THIS IS NOT THE MERIDIAN I had a reservation on this hotel thinking it is one of the Meridian chain. This is not related to the Meridian by any means. This is a 2 stars inn. I canceled and they were very helpful and understanding.

Pros: Clean room, nice staff they try their best to help you, price is affordable, the location is perfect. Food is nice. Cons: elevator is hard to get. Water heater at the bathroom was not working and they couldn't fix till the day of my departure. They offered me another room with a working heater but my room location was perfect so I sacrificed the hot shower for the room location.

Hotel has 2stars; their rooms and other facilities like breakfast etc. match up with 2stars. But other things match up with 5 stars; staff are very friendly, rooms are clean, they have free transfer (from airpot to hotel and return), near to the nile and close to tahrir square and metro. we are really pleased with staying here. We paid about 60dollars per night. I think it is a good price for cairo.

For a budget style accommodation that has rooms facing the Nile the rooms are BUDGET, where if you are there for a few days be prepared to change your rooms. The staff are pleasant and try, despite not having any skills or experience in the hospitality industry. though at best the establishment passes as a property seized by the authorities post Sisi coup and passed onto a connected person to make a living. The one outstanding great perk of checking in here is you can arrange an airport pickup, with some difficulty, but for a foreign visitor, this is great since you are never prepared to deal with the tourism dependent economy that has been devastated by the politics in the country. If you intend to travel to the country, do your research well!
