Dome of Sultan Qanswa Abu Said, antiquity number 164 The Dome of Sultan Abu Saeed Qansuh (904 AH - 1498) in Al-Qarafah Al-Sharqiya 1 was built by this sultan, and it is a dome full of decorations. The common people call it the Dome of Al-Ghafir, because it was inhabited by a large number of archaeological buildings in that region. Hence the name that is now given to the Eastern Cairo Café. They say, “Qarafat al-Ghafir.” There is another new dome near this dome. This Sultan has another dome, 360 meters away, on Al-Mahjar Street, which leads to the door of the New Mountain Castle. An old shrine for what is rumored to be one of the righteous saints of God, whose name is Al-Ghafir. It was a mosque before it was closed to worshipers due to its antiquity and its danger to the worshipers. The place is considered archaeological in terms of heritage. It is a wonderful masterpiece of art and should be restored and preserved as an archaeological landmark.

The dome of Qansuh Abu Saeed is distinctive and, in terms of architectural dimensions, one of the best of its time. It is only surpassed in beauty by the dome of Sultan Qaytbay.
