Currie Bark Park

Dog park

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We love this park! My girl just thrives here doing agility and showing off despite being a 10 year old Bernese mountain dog who had knee surgery not long ago. People often mention park, dogs, small, agility, turf, fenced, area, good, love, nice,

Really enjoyed taking my small pup here. The park has turf which is so nice as I don't have to give my dog a bath from the spring melt! Love the agility structures and double gates. I would recommend this space for small dogs and puppies still learning their recall.

This is a fantastic dog park! It is completely fenced in with an unobstructed view from end to end. It's big enough for dogs of all sizes to burn off energy and play in a secure area. Highly recommend this dog park! There is also a dog water fountain at the West entrance! Very handy on hot days.

Love this park it's nice that it is fenced and artificial turf is awesome...However it is too small, with all the big dogs around my little dog often feels like prey in this environment (as the big dogs chase him) he can also slip through through the fence. Maybe the city of calgary should look at a fenced in small dog park similar to the one in airdrie on east lake blvd. A super bonus of this park is the agility features are great stimulation and the vibe is always friendly and kind.. River Park off leash is still my dogs fav..in this area.

Great little park for the fur babies. All the dogs there are very good and well behaved. The facilities are really nice and well maintained. Would recommend to anyone with doggos that require to be in a faced area when off-leash

A great fenced off leash dog park. Complete artificial turf surface so your dog stays clean. The park also has structures for agility training. Have been there about 6 times now and it is has never been too busy.

I enjoyed this dog park the most. They have fake grass so it's not a dirty mud pit, tracking mud into the vehicle or back home. Lots of space for the dogs to play and they have little obstacles/bridges etc. Met some really nice people, and love that it is fenced off so no worries with the dogs playing around traffic.

Great fenced dog park with some fun agility obstacles. The park is turf so it stays relatively clean when the natural parks get muddy.

I went there today and it was not very crowded it's perfect size for small dogs. It is a good park with obstacles. Such a shame it stinks like dog piss and it's dirty with dog pooped smeared in some areas, it's fake grass so the smell stays and I could not stay too long with my dog as it was nauseating. People worry about tracking mud into their home/car, how about dog piss. It's either they clean it more often or maybe have owners get their dogs to potty before going in as there is plenty of grass area outside of it. That way they can prevent the smell and the park could be more enjoyable for those that want their dog to play, train or socialize and not have to bathe their dog after it every time.

I love it as well as my pup. She love that the dogs who comes here are all friendly. I love it because my pup doesnt get muddy even it is raining as they have artificial grass over there. Ever since we came here we never stop coming. My dog is always looking forward in coming here.

It's a very small space but it's enclosed. Dogs don't seem as well behaved as off leash area. My med size dog is very outgoing, was whimpering and overwhelmed. This doesn't happen at off leash areas. She normally wrestles with new friends. Won't be going back I'm afraid. Went with friends to specifically explore the agility equipment. Nobody seemed to use it

Love the size of the park, good visibility of the dogs while they play

Obstacle course, fully fenced-in, astro-turf, trash cans. Everything you need. Except on-street parking, but nobody's looking. EDIT: There's a small dedicated parking lot across the street from one of the entrances, and I never noticed THERE'S A DRINKING WATER FOUNTAIN inside the gate. Human height and doggie height. Super awesome.

Currie bark park is ok. It has doggy obstical course items to train or play on which is pretty awesome and a doggy water fountain which is really handy if you're like me and almost always forget the water in the car. But...it stinks. It really reeks of dog pee. The "grass" is synthetic turf and the urine and stool seeps in and the smell is nauseating especially on hot afternoons. It is also fairly small so there is no way you are playing fetch with your pup without your ball getting stolen by another doggy. It would only be short range fetch anyway, so leave your chuckit in the car.

Really cute park and well maintained. Love the concept behind this but my pup does get a bit bored if we don't switch it up by going to bigger parks from time to time.

Great enclosed, secure dog park with agility activities, astroturf. Really good space for lots of dogs and clean. Now has parking across the park in a small lot

The city needs to change its watering cycle from 9 AM to 5 AM when the park isn't being used. Otherwise it's a phenomenal park.

Very clean and well taken care of. Small dogs will be able to fit through the fencing though

Great place to take your dog for a little tiring out after a long day.

Completely fenced in with chain link, this park appeals to dog owners with escape- artist pups! No mud with the artificial turf, another bonus. The park is large enough for small and medium sized dogs, but not enough room for big dogs to really let off steam. Park users are great about picking up after their own dogs. A great spot!

Fun park! Small, but good area for dogs to play.

Nice park. Fully fenced with double gates to get in and out at both ends. Artificial turf keeps it cleaner and some agility equipment for fun. Was surprisingly busy on a Wednesday afternoon. Only con is that it’s definitely small - dogs can get a good workout playing but not really a place where the humans get a good walk too.

Completely fenced in with astro turf. No mud or dirt. They turn on the sprinkler system each morning to wash away the pee and other stuff. A few agility obstacles for dogs that enjoy that type of thing. Great dog park. There should be more like this around the city.

Great park! Good size, very clean and well taken care of.

This is a small off leash dog area. They have nice agility training equipment and astro turf instead of natural grass. It is a bit tricky to drive to. Not my favourite dog park, but it is a nice small one for this new community.

😐 Great space and paths. Great location. Only 3 stars though as its badly maintained. The parking lot is often a mud pit, not paved and little to no gravel. There are many areas with no grass (just dirt, or mud) needs to be reseeded. Dog is a dirty mess after most visits. Also watch out for foxtails.
