A great apartment hotel on Collins Street. The rooms are extra comfortable with an in-room cooktop (complete with pots, plates and utensils), microwave and a washer+dryer - excellent for those planning along stay. Complimentary breakfast is a nice buffet of scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, hash brown, toast, cereals etc. There are so many fashion stores, restaurants and attractions within walking distance. The staff are very warm and friendly. PS: It is a family friendly hotel. The rooms use a physical keys 🔑 which you have to carry around. Room service is every three days or upon request.

We had a fantastic stay, staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection. Enjoy the wine down in the afternoon at the bar with our complimentary glass of wine. Checkout is 11am and we were able to push It to 12 which made our checkout process easier. The staff communicate with us before arriving, checking when we would be getting to hotel and to make sure we had the right amount of beds made to suit our family needs. Our room was clean, had everything we needed and we had heaps of room for our family to stay comfortably. They just went over and beyond to make our stay great and we will definitely be going back . Start to finish 10 out 10 !!! Thank you Treasury On Collins!!!

This is the best, friendliest, all round wonderful hotel we've stayed at. The entire team is top notch: welcoming, professional, and helpful. We'd like to give a special shout out to Andrew, Harris, and Jay who went out of their way to create a great stay for us. The rooms are spacious, the small kitchen is beautifully stocked, the daily breakfasts are delicious, and the mezzanine lounge feels like a comfy living room (with fabulous snacks)! We can't say enough positive things about our stay and when in Melbourne again, this is where we'll stay.

Fabulous hotel. I agree with others that the smell as you walk in is divine! The old-style luxury is everywhere, tastefully decorated. We had a Heritage One Bedroom suite. Bed was super comfy. We also had a rollaway bed for the third person and it was also pretty comfortable. The room has everything a person could want - well stocked kitchen. We liked the little touches - the book about Melbourne laneways, noughts and crosses game, Rubik's cube, free popcorn for microwave. Bathroom was serviceable, with lovely toiletries provided and plenty of towels. There was also a washing machine, which we used. Best parts about this hotel are the little touches - breakfast included daily (buffet - with lots to choose from, good quality and delicious); the 'wine down' time from 4-6 daily with very nice Tahblik wines and nibbles, etc. Staff were all very patient and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, walkable to everywhere in the CBD. Will definitely be back!!

We had an amazing stay. The location of the hotel is close to everything if you want to walk or the trams are close by as well. The room was clean, tidy and quiet. The bed was super comfy and the washer/dryer was a massive plus. Breakfast each morning was great and the staff were all very welcoming and helpful. We'll definitely be staying again.

As advertised on the website! Well stocked "pantry" behind the front counter with on-the-house wine (from 4-6pm only though). Could enjoy healthy snacks while doing some work. Staff were friendly and thoughtful, addressed our needs promptly. If anything to fuss, it would be the heavy room key and location (need to walk a fair distance to get to the nearest tram stop)

Great location in the cbd pretty much in the heart of most things so easily walkable. Beautiful heritage building which I much prefer to a modern hotel. Service was great and super friendly. We enjoyed the wine down each evening before heading out - what a great idea!! For an apartment I found the size to be on the small side and quite expensive.

I have stayed here a number of times and would give it 7/5 stars if I could. The rooms are always immaculate, but you get that anywhere. What makes the difference are the wonderful staff. So accommodating, so helpful, so friendly. This is what I need when I'm away from home, a team who make me feel welcome and who will always help me out. I feel like I'm sharing a well kept secret....but heck, they deserve the rewards.

Because the art of service towards patrons has not died here. Treasury on Collins where you can stay with a touch of class. The king suite👌🥂 worth the upgrade. Comfy bed and pillows, quiet room, and good facilities if you want to stay longer , we only wished we could have. Loved location to explore. Just to note Melbourne restaurants have changed post COVID. So book as soon as you can if you want to try quieter up market venues...there are lost of pubs and lively restaurants near by. Enjoy!

We recently enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at this gorgeous hotel and cannot speak highly enough of the friendly, obliging staff and excellent facilities. Our apartment was spacious and exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and we were impressed that hot drinks and little treats were also readily available, free of charge, throughout the stay. Also loved the friendly, personal service provided by the staff, especially Harris and Sandy, as well as Stella in the restaurant. Will definitely be staying here in future visits to Melbourne! :)

We have not even stayed there yet (this time, we have been before during one of the lockdown gaps!) However I wanted to state how helpful the staff have been with following up an booking problem, ensuring we had a suitable room and asking about how we wanted the room set up for the family. Great anticipation and obviously eager to please.

I thought the complementary item's was wonderful. I thought the staff were friendly. However just disappointed that I paid more than wanted to because it's not acceptable for those with disabilities. The rooms that were accessible were booked out. I'm disappointed and somewhat depressed that it's all to do with money. I'm disappointed with motel's. I'm not complaining as I did enjoy my stay but would have been in more of an accessible Room. Thanks to all staff who put a smile on thier face. I'd definitely come back again only with a more budget suitable plan for me.

I just wanted to highlight the great responsiveness by Gavin and the team. On our many stays we have always been impressed by the service of the team. Keep up the great work and you will keep seeing us and i will continue to refer people so they can discover the real treasure that is on Collins.

The building is stunning, and its history was easy to discover in imagery and written descriptions throughout the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast (for those who book directly with the hotel) was just perfect before a day of exploring Melbourne city. Our suite included a small kitchen and a washing machine, which was incredibly useful and would make this hotel perfect for a longer stay.

We loved the location as everything was in walking distance. Breakfast was awesome with a lot to choose from. We got upgraded to a very spacious room & appreciated the amenities to do our washing. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Happy hour with Australian wine which we unfortunately did not have time to try.

We were both absolutely rapt with our ten days stay at this superb hotel/apartment complex. Firstly, the position right in the middle of Melbourne on Collins Street was great. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind - greeting us each day by using our names and ensuring we were happy with everything - they were absolutely lovely, and we were so impressed. The breakfast was also delicious and very fresh with an amazing array of choice - and it was always hot. The kindness of free wine to end each day (4pm - 6pm) in the lounge was another wonderful feature. Our room was also lovely -- we had a one-bedroom apartment on the 8th floor (802). The room was spotless with many wonderful features - it contained a large bathroom with a welcoming bath and a separate shower. The bedroom was luxurious with the choice of pillows to suit our tastes and with a very comfortable bed. The lounge area in the room was also lovely with a table and chairs easily fitting in along with a comfortable lounge suite. We were able to prepare our lunch and dinners in our room on most days, but we were also able to go out with a myriad of eateries within walking distance. The opportunity to watch Netflex was also appreciated. The cleaning staff were also very efficient, polite and kind. The staff organized a taxi for us to take us to the international airport which was superb as well. We will obviously stay again. Thank you all very much for our superb stay.

Our stay was more than we expected due the "little extras" such as the 4pm WINE down, the snacks, the fabulous breakfast, but most importantly THE STAFF. I was taking 2 coffees up to my room.... not only did the gentleman offer to swipe the lift for me - he went up in the lift to open the door.... just over and above ANYTHING I have ever experienced staying in a hotel. Keep up the FANTASTIC service. Your staff are your greatest asset, and what you offer as far as a hotel stay in the heart of Melbourne - PERFFECTION!!!!!!

The hotel is gorgeous but it was the staff who made our stay so memorable. We had issues with flight delays, cancellations and then travel restrictions due to covid and they continually went above and beyond to accommodate us. A big call out to John who made a stressful time that much easier- thank you!!!

Once again, a wonderful stay at Treasury on Collins. Truly the best hotel in Melbourne. Thank you Harries, for making our stay so memorable, we loved chatting to you of an afternoon at wine-down. From Michelle and Madeleine.

Just love this place can't recommend it highly enough. A big thank you to Harry, Carlo and house staff who went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. Luxurious accommodation with all the trimmings: buffet breakfast, all-day refreshments and a complimentary wine down at the end of the day. 🤗

My partner and I stayed there for 4 days a few weeks ago and we loved the experience. They ensured our room was ready before the timeframe that they normally do have it prepared which meant a lot to us since we arrived very early our first day. They were also extremely nice, checking up on us during our breakfast. The only negative experience we have had was our room being directly next to an office building. We didn't have much of a view to look at even though we were on the 7th floor and had to keep a look out when getting changed as they were able to see us through the door. Breakfast food was amazing. Loved everything else wise. Will come back again the next time we visit!

Pretty rare a property exceeds my expectation but this did and we will be regular guests from now on. Special mention to the eye to detail in room and also to Harry on the Wine Down. All staff we encountered were excellent and everything was thought of. Very happy guests

Extremely Appalling Experience at the bar in this establishment. I visited the venue on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, around 5:55 pm, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. While patiently waiting at the bar, I encountered some concerning incidents. The manager, Iza, displayed a lack of professionalism when she rudely instructed me to move to another location. Despite this, Mia, a staff member, kindly apologized for the wait. Upon expressing my concerns about the manager's behavior in a non-confrontational manner, I was met with dismissive comments from the red-haired bartender, Alan suggested I should go easy on the manager, citing her second language as a reason. I emphasized that English is also my second language, and such an excuse is not acceptable. To my surprise, Alan's response was to direct me towards the exit, stating, "If you're not happy, the door is that way." I sought confirmation from the manager, who did not deny the bartender's sentiment. This raises serious questions about the establishment's commitment to hospitality. Adding to the disappointment, the overall atmosphere upon entering the venue was unwelcoming. With the exception of Mia, none of the staff seemed interested in providing a positive experience. In summary, my visit to The Bank on Collins left me questioning the professionalism and hospitality of the staff. Mia was the sole beacon of warmth and competence in an otherwise disappointing experience. - On another note, I was told that the restaurant is operated by a separate company to the hotel. Take that as you will.

We stayed at TOC with our family and all of us occupying our own rooms. My well travelled family has never experienced such a high level of service. From all of the staff who are so friendly and attentive and go that extra mile, to the beautiful rooms. This hotel is above all the rest. We have never stayed at a hotel which offers so many extras to their guests. A big thank you to TOC and to all the staff, we won't be staying anywhere else when we return to Melbourne. You made our family get together even more special. Thank you so much!

I've been at the Treasury now for four nights with my partner - we've just booked a fifth night. Each night, we just want to book another night because we love the hotel! The staff are so wonderful and accommodating! The breakfast is delicious as well - my partner loves the pancake machine! Also, the location is perfect! I highly recommend staying here

Excellent hotel. We received a very warm welcome at check-in. As a couple traveling with our 16 year old daughter the King suite was perfect. The room was immaculate and the breakfast buffet was very good. We walked to and from the MCG as well as exploring the CBD and docklands via free tram rides. The beds were very comfortable and we could not hear any noise from adjoining rooms whatsoever. We really liked our stay here and would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel and I must say it was amazing. They kindly upgraded us and the service they provided was 5 stars. Snacks and drinks are accesible and free. The hotel is in the heart of the CBD, being close to Southern Cross Station and a lot of the venues such as the Museum, Docklands, Bourke St shopping, beach and many more. I will never stay anywhere else when I travel to Melbourne. Rooms were also ready several hours before check in which was perfect especially when traveling with a toddler.

we recently stayed for 2 nights with our Granddaughter. Our room was very clean and plenty of space for the 3 of us. Breakfast was fresh and hot. The all day drinks and snacks included were much appreciated. Afternoon 'wine down' was also a great idea. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value for money, I definitely recommend a stay. In future I would request a room with a more pleasing view. We were in 401 which had office windows on one side and a lane with rubbish skips on the other.

We have stayed at Treasury on Collins a few times and usually enjoyed our time there. However, on this occasion the hotel was let down by poor customer service. During our stay we asked 3 staff members if we could book another few days holiday in a month's time. Each staff member said that we needed to book online closer to the date that we wanted. That sounded very strange but they all said the same thing. A couple of weeks later we tried to book online but the hotel was fully booked for one of the days we wanted. We phoned the hotel and were told that more rooms would be opening up in the next couple of days and they would phone us back with availability. We didn't get a return phone call. A week or so later, we received an email saying that a booking had been confirmed for us for mid April. We never at any time made a booking for April so had to phone up to "cancel" a booking that we hadn't made. It is a real pity and a little weird that the staff did not seem interested in taking a return booking while we were staying at the hotel.

The owner is very interactive, accommodating and hands on. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel’s facilities are very convenient. My family and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. I also loved the wine down from 4pm-6pm🥂.Even if we were checked out, they offered us wine while we were waiting for our pickup. If we were to return to Melbourne in the future, we will surely stay here again. Perfect 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This has been the best hotel experience, will recommend this place to all loved ones! The service from all staff has been impeccable, everyone is so happy to help! We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet and daily ‘wine down’ hours. The rooms are so lovely as well with beautiful decor and super spacious. If you’re looking for a place that is conveniently located, best service and delicious breakfast you must stay here!

  • 3/5 Maya H. 1 year ago on Google
An interior modern hotel with historic architecture this is not. Hotel accommodations are dated and not necessarily ergonomically correct. The pops of blue in the room however are a nice touch to the otherwise brown colour pallet. As it is an apartment hotel, expect a kitchenette and combination washing machine/ dryer in the room (an excellent bonus for long-haul trips). Good service, they accommodated our late night, after hours check-in to the hotel. The restaurant on the ground floor, The Bank, isn’t affiliated with the hotel so you can’t charge your meals back to the room. Food here is good and the service is ok. Stay here if you want to experience a heritage-listed building but keep in mind the accommodations are no frills. Overall, it will be a clean and decent stay.

Exceptional Service! Booked a two bedroom suite for two nights as we had our wedding reception next door (The Bank On Collins). The suite was spacious, with lovely views, and above all, it was exceptionally clean! There were fresh robes, new slippers, and well packed mini-bar. The staff were readily available to whatever we needed, from plant-based milk at buffet breakfast to extra set of hands with luggage. Exceptional service.

We were impressed from start to finish. Pre-stay emails were answered promptly. All members of staff we met were friendly and efficient. Check out time was flexible. Our King Balcony room was comfortably furnished and offered lovely views of nearby heritage buildings and modern skyscrapers. The kitchenette had a microwave, cooking utensils and tea and coffee provisions. The mezzanine floor is beautifully decorated, with comfy chairs and delightful little knickknacks. The set up was very covid safe. Hand sanitisers, wipes and multiple serving tools were readily available and constantly replaced. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, had all the usual options: bainmaries, a selection of bread and cereals and also a pancake machine. All offerings were regularly replenished by the multi-tasking staff members. There was a nice little selection of snacks to enjoy throughout the day. The evening “wine down” included a very nice sparkling wine.

I got the large studio, and was very very nice. The kitchenette and washer/drier were invaluable... and everything was new or like new. The view out was of a wall ten feet away, but I think that’s a quibble. The central court of the building was impressive, but it housed an independent; very noisy bar, which wasn’t pleasant to walk by and at night you the door to the hotel was locked. Otherwise I would have given it five stars. The location was great, right on the tram from one of the train stations.

We keep returning to this treasure accommodation and cannot recommend it highly enough. Within comfortable walking distance from the centre of Melbourne and away from the hustle and bustle. The staff is very responsive, very pleasant and professional. The housekeeping is spot on; so clean and hygienic with great facilities if you want to use it as a self contained apartment. The beds are very comfortable. We always enjoy our stay at Treasury on Collins and will keep returning. Love it.

Had a wonderful stay! Delicious hot breakfast every morning. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the 'wine down' in the afternoon, both the mezzanine and the rooms themselves are extremely comfortable. Rooms are nice and quiet for sleep, and complimentary Netflix is awesome! Definitely will stay here again!

Best hotel for a family with kids. Staff were very helpful and kind with their service. The hotel is elegant and has very practical and large room with simple stove and microwave area. There’s also a huge wash and dryer machine in the bath. Breakfast was generous and, snack for the kids aplenty. Note that on Sat night we heard loud noise from drunks howling in the street at 2am. It was a very pleasant stay otherwise.

Just came back from a stay there and we had the most wonderful time. ALL the staff were amazing - especially Suki who went out of her way to check on some of the food for us. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. Good size and perfect for families. So hard to find a hotel-like stay with a decent kitchen in the room. Breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone (great gluten free options). Loved the access to snacks and drinks during the day. Location was also great as it was close to everything. Highly recommend this place for families. My kids (and I) were very sad to leave... We will def be back!
