Old rustic lighthouse offering great photogenic scenery! This lighthouse is situated behind nice hotels who do not want tourists (non-guests) to enter their property. To get to lighthouse, one must find entry to the beach through the public route, typically at Playa Caracol at the Almadia Cancun Bar and then walk along the beach. As you walk down toward the lighthouse, you must pass narrow walkway in front of a jet ski rental area. Then, you come upon a shallow, rocky area just before the lighthouse. Walk through the water and then up to the lighthouse. There may be a better way, but I was turned away by security. Only one couple there when I arrived, they were taking pictures and enjoying the breeze.

A pretty lost place. The lighthouse is old and has such a nice vibe. Specially with the other toppings around. It's just reachable when you go through an hotel area. But from there, around the cliffs, you can see big fishes. We spotted also a shark over there, which was amazing for us.

Great views, beautiful water, a lovely place to visit. Getting there is not hard, but is not particularly straightforward. You start at Playa Caracol and immediately have to step up a couple of rocks (there are “beach access” signs pointing to the left, just follow them). Then you have to walk along the water, sometimes going up and down the stairs; if confused, just ask someone, point at the lighthouse and they will tell you where to go next. The last 500m you will have to go through the Hyatt, the employees might try to stop you in the beginning, but just point at the lighthouse, say “faro”, and they will let you go.

This spot is beautiful. We were staying at Krystal Grand and decided to walk through the back of Hyatt to the lighthouse lol. We made it without any trouble, however, according to other reviews, use caution and be respectful to any security personnel.

Amazing view! There are some rocks but it's not hard to step. The wind is strong. Yeah, you have to walk through the hotels.

Walked several miles up the beach to this. It was fun to be out on the rocky point. Fantastic view of the sea. You can't climb the lighthouse. Stairs have been removed to about 12 feet up. Nice to listen to the water breaking on the point.

The sight and sound of the waves has an incredibly calming effect on the body and soul. Great place to spend the afternoon.

Beautiful view from the rocks and a fun small journey to reach the lighthouse. Quite peaceful when you are on the rocks listening to the waves I must say.

You can easily get there from the Flea Market, walking along the shore (let's not forget that hotels don't own the beach of Cancun). Saw lots of weddings just before sunset. Lovely!

Couldn't get closer due to military around, but really good, walked all the way from hard rock hotel to this roughly about 1hr if you take your time
