GO HERE! Everything my table had was so delicious. Pasta was perfect. The fried mozzarella and gypsy capellini were my favorite. Great service. Stellar wine as well.

All I can say is WOW!😍 Everything is incredible at Gusto’s and might be taking first place for my favorite restaurant in Cape Coral! Our server, Melanie, was fabulous and so knowledgeable! They were out of pork so I got the veal Milanese and it was incredible! We also filled up on the AMAZING calamari so we had tons of leftovers! I definitely recommend this place for dinner😊

I took my husband to this restaurant to celebrate his birthday since he loves Italian cuisine and the food here did not disappoint. I have spent my summers in Italy because I have family there and I know what authentic Italian food taste like but this restaurant cooks it better than any Italian restaurant I have been to, including ones in Italy. I was astounded by how flavorful the meal was. There was nothing I did not love. The service from the waitress was spectacular. I have never received this kind of professionalism in my life and I work with Lawyers. The food is just amazing! After leaving the restaurant I could not stop thinking about going again. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! It is worth every penny.

Best Italian I have eaten since moving to Ft Myers. Melanie is beyond amazing so you will get the best service ever. Everything is made from scratch. Small menu but everything is fresh and delicious. Go , you will not be sorry I promise you. Homemade sauces, noodles, desserts, breads , cheeses, it is awesome in ever way. My wife and I went for the first time tonight and loved it. You will too.

Gusto Cucina Italiana Great meal at this cape coral restaurant. Small place, only 10-12 tables. Arrive 5pm or 7pm if you don't want to wait. No reservations for parties under 6. We arrived around 6:30 and waited 25 minutes. Our server Melody was attentive. Reasonable wine prices. Their specialty - freshly made sauces. All entrees are made to order, so you can substitute/customize any order. Everything was Very tasty! Started with calamari and spicy peppers. Mains: Veal picatta and Bolognesa. If you enjoy Italian, give this place a try. Buon appetito!

The cuisine was outstanding and authentic. The portions were great with reasonable prices. Our server, Mark, was attentive. It was refreshing to see a staff working together helping each other out wherever they were needed. This was our first time dining here, but it certainly won't be the last. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. PS: the cannoli cake is to die for!

Such a hidden gem! Truly a delicious Italian meal. Small and quaint, don’t be surprised if there is a bit of a wait (hey I rhymed 😄) service was good the food, was spectacular! We started with a bottle of Pinot Noir and their Calamari with Italian peppers. Easily one of the best calamari appetizers I’ve ever had. My guy ordered Chicken francese and the Cesar salad. Both were wonderful. I ordered the Chicken and Shrimp La Rosa. I was going back and forth over a couple entrees but something tells me you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Dessert was crème brûlée and cannoli cake. I wish the brûlée would’ve had a few fresh berries instead of the drizzle but, it was still good. The cannoli cake was just ok for me, my boyfriend liked it. I’m just not a huge almond extract person and it seemed pretty almond forward. All in all a wonderful and tasty experience. Highly recommend!

Yikes! Just picked up my order to go and went to grab a quick piece of the bread for the ride home. No thank you, over proofed and over cooked, see pic! Thank God I had been gifted a gift card to use.

Visited this gem after reading the reviews here on trip advisor, and was not disappointed. This small intimate restaurant is just the kind of place I love. We had visited Sicily last year and it was reminiscent of our fabulous trip. Our server, Rachel, was prompt, attentive and is co-owner of this culinary. The meal was sublime, and so was the dessert. I highly recommend these types of small business owners, who have suffered under this pandemic, and can’t wait to return.

I stopped in last night for dinner and was treated like family by the owners. The calamari was cooked perfectly with roasted peppers, pepperoncini and tomatoes. DELICIOUS.. I ordered the Linguini Pescatore and was amazed. Honestly, this was the best dinner I have ever had at a restaurant.

If you live in Cape Coral and have not eaten at gusto, you are missing out. I have been eating there for a few years now, and it never dawned on me that I never left a review. Chef Vince, Raquel and all of their staff make every dinning experience a great one. I would leave 10 stars if I could solely for bolognese. Truly the best Italian food in Southwest Florida

Hubby and I went to Gusto Cucina for our Anniversary dinner tonight it was amazing you definitely must try. Food was fantastic lots of flavor, the service was great and atmosphere was cozy. A nice hidden gem. We will be going back. Best Eggplant parmigiana I've ever had. Hubby had their Lobster ravioli special and he loved it. And the cannoli cake is a great compliment to the meal.

Excellent dining experience. Authentic Italian- Sicilian menu. Wife had the bolognese which was deep with flavor and I had the Veal Michaelangelo ... "Magnifico"! Veal was tender and the seafood was fresh and seasoned wonderfully. Really quaint atmosphere with a grandmas kitchen table feel. Highly recommend 👌.

One of the best restaurants in SW Florida. We’ve been here 5 times over the last few years and can’t wait to get back. We drive 50 minutes each way from Bonita Springs. Our server, Melanie, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable of all items on the menu, wine included. She suggested the special, Grouper and Shrimp Franzese, and it was delicious. My friend had Pork Milanese and enjoyed her’s, too. Our party of six had six different meals and each was thoroughly satisfied. Great spot to eat.

First visit was with high expectations. They did not disappoint. Nice dining room, well run front of the house, meals arrived timely. Not quick but not long and it was a full house. Dishes were perfectly prepared and presented. I’ve had better bread but that did not diminish the experience. Owner ? Came to our table to check on us. For Italian , this will be my top places in the Cape ! There is a reason the rating is so high here ! Mangia !

Very pleasant staff. Smaller family owned Italian restaurant. For appetizers I ordered the caprese salad and the tomato were very fresh and the fresh mozzarella had a nice bite to it and wasn't overly soft/watery. Also ordered the fried mozzarella it had a perfect amount of crunch and the sauce was perfect. For dinner I had the shrimp parm the portions are served individual style so you can actually finish your meal. It was served with roughly 8 extra large shrimp. Tons of classic served in the sauce. If there is one bad thing about the dish is the tails are served on the shrimp.

Must try if you are in the area!!! You are greeted by chef Vince as he is cooking when you walk in to make you feel at home. Top notch authentic Italian food as Vince is from Italy. The quality and quantity is a steal for the price. Everything me or my family has ever ate was fantastic. You will not be disappointed.

This was our first time visiting after hearing so many good things about the restaurant. We did as suggested, arrived 15 minutes before they opened, and got right in (they don't take reservations for parties under 6). Our server was experienced, checking in with us the right amount of times to see how we were doing. We were told upfront that they can substitute on all of the entrees on the menu, which is unheard of, but a nice touch. My husband ordered Penne Borgetto and I had the Salmon Gusto. Both were delicious and done to perfection. The salmon had a wonderful lemon butter sauce that was light and very flavorful, and the roasted potatoes just melted in your mouth. We also had the Crostini as an appetizer and the balsamic glaze that was drizzled over it was the best I have ever tasted. Unfortunately, our dining experience was marred by a party that was seated in the booth behind us. A woman at that table had on so much perfume that it was nauseating. I switched sides with my husband to get him further away from that group, but it was still too much for us and we lost our appetites shortly after they were seated. I suppose we could have asked our server to reseat us but we had already started on our entree and the restaurant was small enough that we did not want to draw attention to ourselves by getting up and moving. And that is assuming we could have moved to another table. We grabbed a couple of to-go boxes, not wanting to wait for our server to bring them, and quickly asked for the check and got out of there as fast as we could. Our fabulous meal was ruined as was our first dining experience. We do not blame the restaurant, but we were both so disappointed that this patron had so much perfume on that it lingered in the air and overwhelmed us to the point we had to leave. I hope this serves as a reminder to all you women out there that a little perfume goes a long way and to be considerate of the people that will be sitting near you in restaurants. Will we go there again? YES! The food was so good and what are the chances of that happening twice in a row. BTW, we did order the Cannoli Cake to go and it was the saving grace later that evening. So delicious.

My husband and I went there for dinner. Surprisingly enough we were shocked that it was actually very good. We moved here in June 2023 and till today have not found a good authentic Italian restaurant in Cape Coral. The food was good. The service was excellent. Our server Mark was very professional and attentive. We’re so happy we tried Gusto. We will definitely be going there again.

This restaurant is quaint and beautifully low key. A local vibe with an atmosphere that sets the tone for the theme (Italian). The food was great. I had the eggplant (veggie option) as my entree. Though not completely vegan it was tasty and very good. Mark, was our overall server and he did a tremendous job. He was focused but courteous and paid attention to what may have been needed even before we asked. The entire staff seem engaged from the door. This restaurant is located in a plaza area, so there is parking and once you get inside you almost forget it’s in a plaza. I would visit again for sure

My husband and I ate here last Saturday night, wonderful meal! The food was phenomenal, the wait staff/family were very attentive. We had ample time between appetizers and the main meal. Both of us enjoyed talking to the family who runs the restaurant, such wonderful people. Definitely going back to try more of this delicious food soon!

Took my boyfriend out for his Birthday dinner. We were seated promptly. Our server took our drink order. Then a party of 5 came in, who one of the patrons banged at the window of the cooks station apparently announcing their arrival. They were also promptly seated at their reserved booth. The server, who I'm only going to guess might have been instructed to bypass us and attend to this group. We waited for our drinks and bread while this party got full attention. I'm American/Italian, not Sicilian, maybe that holds true in that part of the country, I don't know, I was put off by this. When our server returned, I felt like she knew that we knew that she was instructed to tend to them first and was apologetic for our patients. Ok, moving forward, they apparently don't patronize local vegetable produce, the capresse salad was tasteless with tomatoes that were less than ripe, the cheese also tasteless. Our entrées were very good, Boyfriend had the Salmon, I the Veal Picata. Will we return? I think not. Atmosphere very loud, yes, it's a small place, will choose a quiet booth at a different establishment.

We were impressed with the reviews on this site and decided to try Gusto Cucina Italiana for dinner. We arrived just after 6:00 on a Saturday evening, and were seated quickly. We were served promptly, but never rushed. Our server was both charming and professional. We were also visited by the chef's wife, who gave us a lot of information about the freshness of the food and the kitchen's willingness to prepare dishes to order. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, from the calamari appetizer to the entrees: Veal Piccata, Chicken Marsala, and Veal Michelangelo. Everyone in our party of four loved their dinners. There wasn't a bite left when we were finished. We even found room for tiramisu at the end -- and that was delicious, too. I can't recommend this place highly enough. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Ft Myers.

Customer service is everything, especially these days. Kindness goes a long way and that is not something you will find here. Very disappointed in tonight’s dinner and the way we were treated. After being very rudely spoken to, half of order was missing. We will not be back.

The food here is superb. My mom isn't able to get out much so we have only ordered delivery. The portions are huge and it's always still hot when we get it. Any dish we have tried has been excellent , the Pork Milanese is my go to. My mom loves the Chicken & Shrimp la Rosa, it last her a couple of meals. If you love Italian food, give this place a try !!

The best Italian food I have eaten since moving here 3 years ago. The calamari was awesome. And it was my birthday so I got a free dessert. I will definitely come back the waiter was very good and very attentive

Only complaint is there was No Kids Drinks for the kids menu. Doesn't make since to not have apple juice or any type of juice. However, I ordered the shrimp parmesan again, my husband had the eggplant parmesan and my family had also ordered some other seafood dishes. Super yummy, and they were so tasteful. 2nd time ordering from this place and I definitely will recommend to others.

Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. We were greeted by the owner who talked to us about the menu and how her husband is the chef. Once we were seated we had an amazing server who was very attentive to drinks and specials. We ordered the calamari for the table, and although I don’t eat seafood, the rest of the table said it was mouth watering amazing. I ordered ravioli and omg I can’t begin to describe how good it was. Every single person I was with wanted to come back here before leaving, it was THAT good. The restaurant itself is rather small but it truly adds to the quaintness of the place. I never expected to have a chef made meal before coming here, but the 5 star ratings are legit.

It's some of the best Italian food I have ever had. Every single person at our table had a phenomenal meal. The food was fresh, delicious and cooked with a lot of love. That is rare these days. We tell everyone about this fabulous place..

We moved to Cape Coral 2 years ago and just discovered this gem. It is our favorite place to go out for a nice evening. Raequel is the perfect hostess and her husband, Chef Vince, is incredible. The food is fresh and divine and we feel welcomed and appreciated. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

Waiter was always in a hurry and had to flag him down to get a few things. Asked about wine list and couldn’t answer me said all the wine has changed. And food took a very long time to come out. When it did it was great. Deserts we ordered to go . Got home totally wrong. Can say great place but service needs to be better and stop and listen.

Like others have said over and over. This is the BEST Italian restaurant hands down in the Cape Coral / Fort Myers area. Our family comes down a few times a year from Canada and we make sure we go here at least once during our stay. Thank you Raquelle, Vince and Melanie!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this small Italian restaurant for the third time, and once again I was blown away by the delicious food. The standout dish for me was the veal picata, which was tender and full of flavor. The lemony sauce was the perfect complement to the savory meat, and I found myself savoring every bite. To top off the meal, my husband and I ordered the tiramisu, and it did not disappoint. It was a perfect end to our meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming, and the service is friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic and delicious Italian cuisine.
