Amazing place!! The staff is wonderful and so friendly, especially the son of the owner. Welcoming to travelers from all over the world! I stayed in the hostel upstairs and it was so affordable as well as central to tons of tourist sights, the beach, and a great view of Table Mountain. Would recommend 100%

I have been frequenting this place a couple of times a month since I moved to the area. Honestly, I used to frequent a similar bar in the area but I changed my allegiance to Stags because of the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. At no point have I ever felt like I was a bother to them, they treat everyone (based on my observations) with the same respect and dignity. That's the only thing that I require when I decide to go out and grab a drink: A safe space. They provide this, coupled with safe parking. I'm satisfied,🙂

Found a bartender stole my Business SIM out of my phone, while wanting to "look at it". Thought the guy was a friend. Tried to resolve with him over WhatsApp but blatantly denies everything. Was a great place, but once trust is broken, everything else does too. They know I'm transgender and can only imagine I don't fit the clique and this is why he stole it. Can't think why you'd have someone trust you so you can destroy their reputation. Avoid
