About
the
single-use
plastic:
I
was
delighted
to
see
the
paper
containers
at
the
salad
bar
-
but
WHY
plastic
containers
as
well?
I
used
the
paper
option
for
salads
with
plenty
of
dressing
and
no
leaking,
as
these
photos
show.
Moving
to
the
fresh
veg
and
fruit
section,
I
was
disheartened
to
see
the
roll
of
single-use
plastic
bags.
So
I
went
to
the
bread
section
to
ask
for
a
brown
paper
bag
to
put
loose
fruits
in
for
weighing.
Only
to
be
told
I
will
be
charged
R5
for
the
bag
at
the
till
if
I
use
it
for
fruits
-
but
no
charge
when
it's
used
for
bread?
What's
the
difference?!!
And
then
there
were
the
Styrofoam
containers
which
some
people
queued
with,
and
the
offering
of
a
plastic
knife
and
fork
in
a
plastic
bag
at
the
till
😡
Consumers
are
getting
fed
up
with
the
unnecessary
use
of
plastic
by
retailers.
Consider
the
environment
AND
our
health
and
switch
to
alternatives
to
plastic,
Food
Lover's
Eatery.
