Visited from the United States and I have to say the staff at this location are very polite and professional. A special thank you to Elna and Euphrasia for making breakfast a pleasant experience every morning. You guys were great. The location is close enough to everywhere that I wanted to go and Ubers were always close by. Overall, I had a very good experience staying here.

Always love staying here. I look forward to the little cookies as I enter ! Most of the times , the staff are friendly and efficient. Check in is fairly quick . Free WiFi available. The breakfasts are amazing and I love that you just pay for what you eat because I can't do buffets... I just eat a little at a time. The location is ideal for me, very close to my client so for convenience I always book here. Great atmosphere, beautifully decorated.

Outstanding property with phenomenal staff! Everyone there welcomes you with a smile each and every day! I loved all the front desk ladies who were so helpful and professional each time we walked up to them! Rooms were extremely spacious with all amenities necessary for a great stay! The views from the loft suites on the 5th floor were beautiful! The shower pressure is awesome, and the beds and pillows very comfortable! Can't wait to be back again real soon!!

Rooms need some maintenance. My colleague and I stayed in two rooms. Both had broken toilet seats. Her curtain had bad holes and my basin was blocked for the whole week we stayed. South Africa suffers power guts which the hotel cannot do anything about. Although there is emergency power generation most rooms have no power with no air conditioning. And windows do not open creating a little sauna. The only access to rooms is with elevator which gets stuck when there is power cuts. Hotel is in isolated and potentially unsafe area requiring quite a bit of travel to get to attractions or restaurants. Breakfast was OK but nothing wow. Staff is fabulous.

Room was great but needs some carpets - I could feel the dust on my foot. Breakfast is good with ok service. Limited cheese options for some reason.Have to travel out for dinner very limited room service menu and surrounding options.

The rooms are neat, clean and spacious. It has the basic things you will require for a short stay. It could do with a rug or two on the floors as the lack of same does not give the room a warm feel. I didn't like the location of the hotel as I felt it is in a very dilapidated part of Cape Town.

Breakfast from double tree by Hilton Cape Town. Hot station, Egg station, cold cut station and pastry. Breakfast is free for gold and diamond member. Taste is good. Room is quiet outdated. Price is little overprice comparing to location and hygiene.

Stayed here for 7 days out of my two week vacation in South Africa. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast time must’ve been my favourite time of day at the hotel since I got to interact more with the staff and experience the hospitality they had to offer. My favourite staff had to be Elna. She remembers her guests very well and makes sure everyone feels welcome and is well served. Kudos to the team. See you on my next vacation in Cape Town.

I loved my stay at this hotel. All the staff are so professional and nice with great customer service. Being a gold member, I also got free breakfast which was amazing. I was here to distress and it did the job. The rooms are spacious and nice. There is kettle so you can have tea whenever you want and there is a mini fridge to store your drinks/juices. There are also shuttle services (didn't use this service though) if you want to go Waterfront. And the gym is open 24hrs. The hotel is also strategically located in the same building that has food restaurants/joints such as Kimchi making it super easy to grab something to eat real quick.

I had an incredibly nice stay at this hotel. I had never heard about this hotel before and boy was I pleasantly surprised. The staff are super helpful. The rooms are beautiful and pristinely clean. I had a wonderful time.

The loft rooms are stunning, huge and gave an incredible view of Table Mountain. Great breakfast buffet as well. Loses a few points for the pool which is shared with a condo building and is pretty dire state. Otherwise a fantastic place to stay.

Stayed here for the 2nd time the first pre COVID when we felt it was better. Last time, as a diamond member we were upgraded to a loft room and to be honest that was our only reason for returning. This time we were less fortunate and whilst the room was large it was soulless. Very dark. Check in was very slow and painful, we'd booked a day room in addition to our 5 night stay, to ensure we'd get into a room straight away after a long flight. But we were kept waiting 20 minutes plus because they couldn't get hold of the cleaning supervisor to see if the room was ready. Exhausted as we were, we didn't appreciate the delay. The hotel is in a less than salubrious area of the city, certainly NOT a tourist area and if this is your first visit to CT, or you don't have a car, I'd definitely not recommend it. Breakfast is pretty good but there's a real problem with getting a coffee, there isn't a machine or urn and you are reliant on the busy wait staff spotting you so you can order individual cups. Some days we were sat down for 15 or 20 minutes before we saw someone arrive with a coffee. Same issue to get refills. This would be such an easy fix, or at least ask the guest as they arrive if they'd like tea or coffee as other hotels do when it's not self service. Parking is good in the basement and secure although they charge R60 a night, which in this area seems greedy. There's nothing restaurant wise in the immediate area, aside from the hotel restaurant and although there's a shuttle service to the VA waterfront, that only runs in the daytime. Finally, as SA is suffering daily power cuts nationwide, this hotel has only got generator back up for half the hotel! So if you're in a room not covered, you won't have air conditioning or lighting! Overall, definitely not for a first time visitor to the city due to its location but if you're confident driving in the area it is a viable option as the prices are reasonable for CT. Without the upgrade to a loft room this time, we will most likely not return again, I feel we'd much prefer to stay in a more central and safer area.

Bang average to poor. Dining at the Liberty restaurant was terrible. Dirty stained seats, not cleaned properly. Slow service. Average food. Almost no vegetarian options. They put us in a room overlooking a run down, dirty courtyard with no view. Room was ordinary. Sink was blocked, air conditioning ineffective. Don't bother staying here, there are hundreds of better options for this overpriced pretender of a hotel.

Staff are AMAZING!!! I can't stress this enough!! Breakfast was excellent but rest of the meals super bland. Rooms warm and comfy. You can actually adjust the ac unlike in most hotels. Foyer is lovely. I wanna do a photoshoot in it 😝 Location close to Waterfront, cbd, Gardens etc. Super secure. Super comfy. They give a choc chip cookie on arrival but it has nuts. Please do a nut free option!! I love cookies!!

What a nice hotel to stay at. Away from the madness (in a good way) of the city centre yet close enough to be able to enjoy a night out in Cape Town or stroll around during the day. The stay is so great and professional as well. Special thanks to Elna and her friendliness who made our stay even more enjoyable. Hospitality at its best.

Absolutely loved this hotel… I have been living in a lot of hotels around the world and this this time I stayed here for some nights while working in Cape Town and it was amazing. The staff was very helpful and nice and the breakfast was lovely. I can really recommend the bar also with a fantastic bartender. I will come back!

The area isn't the best, but it's safe during the day. The staff was friendly, especially Elsa, who was in a good mood at breakfast. The morning offering was quite good. Room service wasn't great, 1 week ago no shower gel refilled, half of the electrics in the room didn't work and weren't repaired.

Nice hotel but too much smoking in rooms and in the halls. Someone smoking in rooms at 1:30AM woke me up. Front desk said it was a no smoking hotel but I don't believe it. The breakfast staff was fantastic, one nice woman was very prompt about the cappuccinos and should get a raise. Staff was very responsive but hotel is off the beaten path and hard for transporters to drop off and pickup due to restricted space.

Location isn't the best, doesn't look safe and is not clean. The rooms were just as advertised, clean and beautiful. There's no noise. Breakfast wasn't great either, the food wasn't fresh and was bordering being stale. The dinner menu is good though, I had amazing curries there. The bar service is also quite good.

We stayed here in Nov 2023 for 3 nights and were very impressed by the public areas and how sweet the staff is. Upon checking in, they thanked me for being a member and stated that breakfast was included due to my status. We were also informed that the next night was their city's portion for rolling blackouts, but to not worry since they have generators. I think the power was maybe out for 20 secs before the generators kicked in so the disruption was almost unnoticeable. The room was comfortable and quiet. It was a little dim, but that didn't bother us too much. Breakfast was amazing! I love chicken livers and since arriving on the continent, I have taken advantage of all the chicken liver offerings! But for those who are used to more "western" breakfasts, they have an omelette station, fresh patries, fresh fruit, and cured meats. The hubs really enjoyed having made-to-order omelettes every morning and said the smoked salmon was delicious! I went for the chicken livers and cooked beans because um, when in Rome and it's all so delicious. I think they switched between bacon and sausage in the mornings which were also delicious. Our server would also fill our coffee mugs and water bottles for us so we could explore the city all day. The hotel is close to the industrial fashion district so you can find some really cool clothes that are up and coming. Ubers are plentiful and arrive within 5 min of ordering one, but we really only waited 3 min max. I wish we could have tried the restaurants on the ground floor that were towards the entrance but we didn't have time nor the stomach real estate when we would come back to the hotel after exploring all day. There is also an ATM where you can get cash because if you're like me, you locked your passport in the room safe and it's needed for changing currency at the currency bureaus.

Only went to the coffee shop, no accommodation experience. Was told no filter coffee available, strange for being a coffee shop. Inside hotel all clean, neat and quiet. Outside is commercial and light industrial, no casual outside strolling for visitors - the hotel then becomes a refuge from the external clutter.

Our stay was amazing. The staff made us feel very welcomed, and even our friends who came to visit were made to feel hotel guests. The bar is very nice for evening drinks.

I stayed here almost 8 years ago. The rooms were very nice, quite big and have a fabulous view of the mountains on one side and harbor on other side. The gym is also good. The complimentary breakfast offered quite a lot of options. The reception staff and housekeeping staff was quite friendly. The hotel restaurant was also quite good with a variety of tasty dishes offered. Overall it was a very nice and satisfying stay.

I do not recommend this hotel! A lot of money that I left behind was stolen from my locked safe on the last day. I contacted the management and they said they would look into it and I even contacted the global Hilton chain, so far they have not given me an answer. Terrible hotel they didn't even agree to bring us a stopper for the bathtub so we wouldn't take baths to save water. Bad service and do not recommend at all!!! Area not recommended. Lots of beggars outside the hotel. Terrible noise also from the mosque next to the hotel and we would wake up in the middle of the night from the noise

The best Hilton stay I had ever! Staff is exceptionally helpfull and super friendly. We ended up here after missing our flight due to a medical emergency. The staff genuinely expressed their concern and sympathy. I highly recommend this Double Tree hotel.

Great hotel. I loved the experience and comfy rooms. Staff was excellent and travel desk was ok too. Only downside for me is that someone was praying so loud in the night (not sure it was a guest or outside the hotel). Certainly coming back in a few weeks time and hopefully I can get the same room with a view of the table mountain. Oh, and the lady on the eggs at breakfast is super friendly. All staff are lovely

Good service and comfortable rooms. I stayed in the cheapest room possible and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort of the room. While I did not have a spectacular view, I had everything I needed.

We actually booked the wrong Hilton but the experience was good. Hotel was great and bfast very good! Downside....our curtains opened onto another rose sliding door....most embarrassing when we opened our curtains and they stepped out on their balcony.

I didn't stay at the hotel. My daughter had a workshop at the hotel, hence I had checked it out before the time. Beside the fact that it's not Halaal certified as per the previous reviews, it appears to be a destination of note. My daughter was very impressed with the Halaal meals that was presented to her at the workshop. It's a pity I cannot recommend this as holiday accommodation to family and friends because of its non Halaal status. Cape Town is a very popular destination for Muslims. I had an opportunity to have a closer look while I was waiting to pick her up after the workshop. The restaurant seems very spacious and is situated on the far end of the foyer, making it easily accessible for lunch dates and bookings.

I joined a friend for breakfast. The buffet is simply wonderful. The lady who makes the omelettes/eggs is incredible. So friendly and talented. I hope she enjoys her annual leave.

Booked the loft suite @doubletree by Hilton, the room is spacious and comfortable, check in was quick and efficient and staff are helpful in making your stay comfortable Although the loft suite sleeps 4 cutlery provided for 2, and kitchenette means microwave, sink and bar fridge. Many factory shops in the vicinity, overall a pleasant stay will gladly book here again πŸ‘

Beautiful hotel. Super clean and luxurious. Staff was on point. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Conference room was comfortable. The teatime snacks were delectable. A real treat. Loved everything about it.

Only visited a friend staying here. The parking takes cash only and it's highly inconvenient to pay for as most people don't carry cash with them. It looks like a lovely hotel. Bar had great service and was open late. I would visit bar again.

Unfortunately this hotel is hiding behind the name/brand "Hilton." I say this due to the fact that it certainly is not a 4 star hotel in my view. I have just recently completed a visit, so I am indeed writing from recent experience (April 2022). My reasons for negative feedback are as follows: unlike other Hotels under or associated with the name Hilton, this one had neither a doorman nor a bellboy. Also, I don't see the point in providing a guest with the option to upgrade to a larger room if said larger room remains sparsely furnished. The result, therefore is that one is left with a large room and nothing much else. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and polite. That is much appreciated. But certainly the pictures posted on the website are not a true reflection of the luxury, or rather lack thereof that one will be staying in. I thus left there somewhat disappointed.

Firstly the welcome cookie is DELICIOUS. book here even if it's just for the cookie. The hotel rooms are spacious with all that you need in them. Quality of sleep is great. Of the 3 nights I spent there only 1 night did I here boxes from outside. The level of darkness when you switch the lights off is perfect for me. Location is generally not the best though. The street it's on makes it seem dodge
