Prime location in terms of access to bocagrande Beach. Crossing the street to the beach can be challenging. Also walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Food and drinks at the hotel are decent. My biggest rub isn't necessarily with the hotel, but I think they could do better at shielding their guests from the onslaught of vendors/taxis/and tour people that hound you as soon as you set foot out the door. It can be overwhelming and some don't take "no" for an answer very well. I get that it's a way of life for many, but a polite "no, thank you" should be respected.

I had a fantastic stay here. The room was clean and spacious and the view is very nice. It's directly across the street from a major beach so you don't have to go far at all to enjoy the ocean. If you book with access to the club lounge you'll REALLY love that. There are three different servings a day and they are all excellent. The pool is lovely so I recommend you make use of it. Room service was also very good. Just be sure to order more complex things before the kitchen closes. Otherwise you just get burgers and fries type things. Be aware that the streets in the area are prone to flood with heavy rain so you'll have to adjust accordingly.

After spending 8 nights in the hotel I would like to express my honest opinion : Plus : the stuff was very kind and helpful, answering quickly to request and question directly on WhatsApp and bringing delivery food directly to my room… Minuses : -I had a premium room with ocean view and high floor, despite that the quality of the room and material is quite disappointing for a hotel of this standard, shower holder broken , toilet all yellow , shower selector very hard to use and poor water flow. -the breakfast was a big disappointment, very low quality food, no proper coffee machine but only filter coffee served by the stuff, often just warm … come guys , when you pay 190$ + 16$ breakfast you expect to have good coffee. The selection of pastries are very bad, dry and tasteless. We are very far from European standards on this kind of hotel. - for some unclear reason i was unable to pay the breakfast at checking and I had every morning to struggle to pay my buffet and ask for an invoice etc … Anyway I was here on a business trip and I clearly won’t come back for private trip

We really enjoyed the hotel. We had an amazing suite with a beautiful view of the ocean. Breakfast included was nice. The concierge named Cindy, was the absolute BEST! She gave us some of the best recommendations that made our trip unforgettable! I definitely recommend staying here. Great for a couple, family, or solo stay.

We had to wait quite a lot for check in. Otherwise the service has been very good and the place is nice, the room is great, ample and has many compliments. Beds are also good. The location is perfect: beachfront! The main reason for the 1 star is the ambient music at the restaurant and pool: it's so terrible, it seems that their target audience is teenager gangsters? Uncomfortable, disturbing... I just don't want to be here. EDIT: following nights the music improved, so I'm improving my rating since the whole place is nice.

Unfriendly, slow employees at front desk. Felt very unwelcome at check in. Beds were too small and uncomfortable. Food at restaurant was overpriced as expected, but also very poor quality. Good breakfast. The pool is the best feature of the hotel.

This hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. However, I feel as if the service could have been a little more attentive The main problem was I went in February of 2023. The weather was good but the building covered the pool so it didn’t receive sun. The pool is located high up so it was windy. The pool wasn’t heated it was freezing I couldn’t enjoy the pool at all

Wow! Keilin and her staff were so incredible. All of the staff was friendly, and everyone spoke English to help my wife who does not speak Spanish. The staff took extra care to accommodate us when we were located above a very loud wedding party, and the whole issue was sorted swiftly and easily. The food from room service was delicious and the rooms were very clean. The staff took the time to know us personally. I would highly recommend!

We spent seven nights here during our recent trip to Colombia and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful when asked questions. Marbelis at the front desk was especially sweet and took care of us on a couple of occasions. The room itself had a slightly musty smell but it was likely due to the air conditioning not having been on for a while. Once the A/C was on we didn’t have any other issues. It’s a good size room with a small couch near the window and the bed was super comfortable. We had the breakfast buffet on a few of the mornings and they had a huge spread with an omelette station as well. I especially liked the cheese bread near the toaster. We also went to the bar a couple of evenings and Jorge made the best Bloody Mary’s that we had in our two weeks in Colombia. Jorge was super friendly also and, honestly, we probably wouldn’t have gone a second night if it wasn’t for his friendly persona and the Bloody Mary’s. All in all, this was a great visit and we were well treated by all of the employees there. There are taxis easily accessible from the front of the hotel during most of the day and it’s a short ride to the walled city. I highly recommend staying here.

I can't say enough about this fabulous holiday hotel! It is in the perfect location. The staff were so amazing and 100% on point and so kind. This is our 2nd stay and we will return! We hired a private driver to collect us from the hotel all 5 days. It made sightseeing a pleasure. We loved the full breakfast spread! yea time and relax hour at The Club on the 15th floor. We had the best hostess, Miss Kilian, we could ever want. Pool, workout gym, all so lovely. This was about 20 minutes from the Wall.

My recent visit to this esteemed hotel was an embodiment of luxury at its finest, punctuated by the unparalleled service of its dedicated staff. The pool and bar area was a symphony of excellent hospitality, orchestrated by Fabian, Francisco, and David. Their service went beyond mere duties; they were connoisseurs of guest satisfaction, ensuring each moment by the pool was a delightful experience. Padilla, an exemplary member of the team, demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence. His professionalism shone brightly in every aspect of the hotel’s operation, contributing significantly to the seamless and enjoyable experience. The bellhop, a diligent gentleman in his 30s with an amiable disposition, was a cornerstone of the hotel’s commendable service. His prompt and courteous assistance was a hallmark of the hotel’s dedication to guest comfort. Additionally, the presence of the security staff, particularly a vigilant guard who resembled Padilla, added an invaluable layer of safety and reassurance. His discreet yet approachable manner ensured a secure and serene environment. A culinary highlight was the cheeseburger, recommended by another outstanding member of the pool/bar team. Though his name eludes me, the quality of his suggestion and service left a lasting impression. The drivers, true professionals in every sense, embodied the hotel’s ethos of excellence, making each journey a pleasant and memorable part of my stay. In conclusion, this hotel transcends the norms of luxury hospitality. It’s a place where each staff member, from the culinary talents at the pool bar to the astute security team, contributes to an atmosphere of unrivaled excellence. This establishment is not just a testament to the visionary leadership of its executives, but a shining example in the annals of the hospitality industry.

I can honestly say that this hotel was the best part of our visit to Cartagena. It was fun to explore the city, but at the end of the day, it was great to know that we had a clean, expansive and luxurious suite in a very safe and walkable part of the city. The hotel is right across from the beach, and affords great views of the beach, and the ocean and cityscape. It's also very conveniently located near shopping and food options. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They gave recommendations so that we could travel quickly and safely throughout Cartagena. The entire hotel is very modern and well-decorated. We enjoyed seeing a traditional canoe from the hallway. Staff did an amazing job recognizing our Platinum status, including a handwritten card and a delicious snack plate. In addition to the excellent lodging, the pool was a real treat! We lazily drifted through the comfortable water well after sunset. The food and service on site exceeded expectations. I highly recommend booking a room with club lounge access. The lounge is quiet and has a great variety of food for breakfast and dinner time. It's no wonder that we spent one afternoon of our trip just lounging around, enjoying this hotel!

Exceptional hotel. I visited for my birthday and their guest services surprised me with a birthday cake and a lovely post card. The food was phenomenal. The staff + security were beyond professional. The hotel is beautifully kept. Highly recommend staying here.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained. There were a couple of stains on the carpet. Other than that I don't have any complaints. The service was excellent including room service, which was very prompt and friendly. The pool is beautiful.

Stayed here on my first visit to Cartagena and was very happy with my stay. The hotel staff was nice and always gave amazing service. Rooms are spacious. Bathrooms have amazing lighting. Shower is nice and big with rainfall shower head as well as hand held jet massage wand. The view on the ocean side is breath taking. I watch the sun set every night in the infinity pool. I will be staying hear every time I go back

Amazing, beautiful, clean hotel. Cant say anything bad about this hotel. LOVE the pool. you might not get enough sun in the pool because of all the tall buildings but still one of the best experiences I had in Cartagena

If I could give this hotel, 10 stars, I would. Absolutely beautiful hotel. The room was incredibly clean and neatly designed. The shower was huge. The room was stocked with plenty of water and snacks. Room service only took about 20 minutes, and your food arrived hot. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Everyone on the staff was incredibly nice and respectful. I highly recommend that you stay at this wonderful place if you are in Cartagena.

The room was spacious and had a great view of the city. It was clean and very comfortable, but ... Yes there is a but coming. The bathroom is beautifully designed but it wasn't cleaned properly. it was visibly dirty. My feet started stripping, I have to say it didn't meet the standard I expected from a reknown brand like Intercontinental. I chose the hotel over a smaller unknown brand because I wanted somewhere clean and safe. The bathroom totally killed the experience for me.

Awesome hotel. We loved our room, it had an incredible view of the city/bay area. Our bed was comfy and bathroom was great. Breakfast was amazing, many options to choose from. Restaurant in the hotel was very good (try the mushroom risotto!). The pool is great but it was VERY windy in the rooftop, so we were able to enjoy it only from about 1pm-2pm, when there's direct sun.

The staff are very accommodating, welcoming, and go above and beyond to assist with needs. I was there for several nights and had a wonderful time at the pool, the conference center, and all the restaurants

Swimming pool is amazing, rooms are clean however some attention to detail can be better. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. Overall very nice stay in this hotel. Also location is very nice! However, the beach is not private; you need to rent a bed/chair there and many beach sales man/woman.

I traveled to Cartagena last spring break and had an amazing stay at this hotel. The employees were super friendly and very helpful. Only issue was that they didn't allow my guest to enter the hotel. They said that because he didn't have a room under his name, he couldn't get in. I didn't know that those were the rules and even though he wasn't there to sleep over, we respected what were told and he left. Nevertheless, I do plan on going back and staying at the InterContinental and recommending my family and friends.
