First my first accommodation in Cartagena , this by far was my best stay. Small boutique hotel , so felt it was a more personalized service . This by far has the most amazing breakfast, I wouldn’t eat until late evening because the breakfast was so plentiful. The menu is great and you get a large bowl of FRESH fruit, and juice, coffee and then choose from a variety of cooked eggs and you get bread and jam, honestly it was a lot of food and so good . I docked a star because my bathtub/shower looked like it hadn’t been clean in ages, so I cleaned it myself with my own products and had to wear shoes , but Karina and the rest of the staff were so amazing . Even surprised me with a cake on my birthday , that made my whole day and year honestly . Thank you so much to the entire staff, I can’t wait to return (:

We booked the first night in a family room which was located on the second floor. It was beautiful with a balcony. Our other room on the first floor was still good but not spectacular like our family room. Breakfast is included and was delicious. Made to order eggs, yucca, arepa. Fresh fruits and bread before meal. Service is great! Everyone was super nice and very helpful. Any questions we had they answered. Manuel the first day was super helpful and welcoming. Laudy was also super helpful, nice and kind. The hotel is in a great area. Was able to walk to everything. What I liked most about it was the safety. They don't allow everyone to walk in. You have to ring the doorbell and they'll let you in. I enjoyed my stay.

The hotel is in a beautiful old colonial era house with a lot of architectural details and antique furniture. It has a small pool (slightly bigger than a U.S. hot tub), and a courtyard. The room has high ceilings and simple furnishings. There are three rooms on the ground floors and maybe four or five rooms on the second floor. The rooms on the ground level facing the courtyard where the breakfast is also served. So it can be noisy in the morning and not for sleeping in. The room was newly painted a few days ago so it has the chemical paint odors. We ended up leaving the windows and door open to try to air it out. And the location is near major plazas, so I can hear the music from nearby venues. The breakfast is OK but I have far better breakfast at other Colombian hotels. I don’t think I will stay here again in the future.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The staff makes you feel like it is home. They are all so attentive to your needs. Can't wait to go back again.

My friend and I stayed here during our four day leg of our Colombia trip in July. This hotel is beautiful, cozy, central located in Cartagena. All of the staff were so sweet and welcoming. The free breakfast is top notch and a welcome option after a long night of partying haha. Also the pool is amazing!! I don’t know how more people weren’t using it because it’s so cute and just what we needed to escape from the humidity. Definitely pick this hotel!

I was very impressed by the helpfulness and hospitality received by the staff at Alfiz hotel They assisted me with all of my inquiries and were pleasant to interact with. The welcome sangria drink was delicious and refreshing! The room was absolutely comfortable and allowed us to relax between exploring the city. The location is well situated in the core of the city, with plenty of restaurants in the area. We happened to visit during the week of Cartagena independence day in November and we were at the heart of the festivities happening in the main square. Although we were able to hear the noise from the parties, we had no problems with falling asleep through it. Breakfast was nice, although I did get bit by mosquitoes from the plants in the courtyard. Overall, I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Cartagena!

We loved the hotel, staff, and location. I felt like we were in the colonial days! I stay in hotels all of the time, and this hotel was different. There were only a few other guests staying there at that time. They made us feel at home. We loved the balcony. I felt the chill vibe. The staff was very informative. We would definitely come back here again.

This hotel was so incredibly fantastic, there truly are no words to describe it. If you’re looking for something intimate and cozy with great food and perfect staff, stay here. I stayed here twice within a week’s vacation and wish I could stay longer. It is PERFECT. You must stay here.

An excellent location, everything in the old city and surrounding area is an easy walk. A pleasant breakfast is provided, the pool is a small but refreshing place to cool off after a day of walking. ATM, good food, all located nearby. I suggest a room on the higher floors if you don’t mind stairs. The first floor is a bit loud in the morning as doors open into courtyard where breakfast is served. If you are an early bird, this is not a problem. Staff is great; friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and have very high ceilings. Bed was firm but soft. Shower in our room was a large cement tub that you have to step over, but no problem unless you have mobility issues. The bedding and towels are very clean but had a detergent smell that may affect you if you have allergies. The pillows are plentiful and soft. Maid service each day and they do a wonderful job. Plenty of outlets for your charging needs.

This hotel was one of the great hits of our 3 week stay in Colombia. The hotel itself is quiet and comfortable. A structure built in 17th century I believe. Staff were exemplary. My wife fell I’ll and the staff went out of their way, including making special chicken for her. They were very attentive to her. Morning breakfast was something to look forward to. The location was great. Easy walking to anywhere in the Walled City and Getsemani

The hotel was a beautiful one with a great location within the walled city. The staff were amazing, kind and absolutely made our stay so much more memorable. Even after weeks I miss the hotel and the wonderful staff for the lovely conversations. The breakfast, set standard menu, was one of the best I have had - clean, fresh, tasty! Loved the yard and the pool as well for the intimate vibes. Thanks so much, you have definitely made us want to come back soon.

Alfiz Hotel had caring hosts, a delicious complementary breakfast, a pool that became our routine in the hot Cartegena afternoons, and a romantic rooftop jacuzzi. Our room was beautiful and filled with historic features, but also AC and a comfortable bed that we slept well in every night. My partner and I highly recommend staying here!

Gorgeous boutique hotel with so many charming details and amazing service. The daily breakfast was a highlight. Fresh fruit, juice, coffee, eggs to order. Helpful concierge made everything easy!

amazing staff and service, lovely historic suite with the biggest "tub" I've ever seen- it was like a shallow pool! The room was incredibly clean as well. Freshly made juice with breakfast that changes every day which was a nice touch. One of the best located hotels in the walled city as well. The concierge was unforgettable as well with unbeatable service. Would absolutely stay here again next trip to Cartagena

A little late sharing our experience in this beautiful hotel we stayed at a couple of years ago but it’s one we’ll always remember. The staff is amazing, they even watched our luggage while we visited San Andres for a couple of nights. They received us with a drink (some type of coffee/wine combo that was delicious) and were absolutely wonderful and kind. The bedrooms are beautiful and romantic (even had a hammock inside). Breakfast was also delicious. We really enjoyed staying at this wonderful colonial building. Since the location is perfect, whenever we got tired of the heat of the city we’d take a break within the walls of our hotel where the yard and house were cool and breezy. We can’t wait to return and stay here.

I loved this hotel! The staff is attentive and helpful and the ambiance is perfect for a stay in a historic city. Check out the pictures of each room before booking. The pictures do each room justice! They're beautifully decorated and because each room has an interior wall to the city, it's quiet at night! The morning breakfast that comes with the stay is delicious and leaves you feeling ready to explore! I highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed in the Viceroyality Room which was large and very comfortable. Nice tile floor and lovely bathroom. We had asked for a firm bed. It was not particularly firm, but was comfortable. The location in the old city was excellent; walking distance to everything and picturesque. There were wooden floor-length shutters for the windows, which we shut at night, making the room silent and cutting out morning light. The breakfast was good; fresh juice, lovely fresh fruit, and eggs to order. The staff was lovely; very helpful and attentive. They went out of their way to offer us a place to shower and relax if we wanted to after our return from the San Bernardo Islands and before our flight back to NY! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I made a reservation for 5 nights at this hotel, but I cancelled the booking well before the reservation date and went with another hotel that better served my group’s needs. I was still charged for my entire stay, and they claimed they never received my cancellation in their system. There were no reminder emails sent to me about the stay, nor did anyone reach out to me on check-in day. I simply received an email saying I was charged for the stay as a no-show fee. They offered a 2-night credit for a future stay, but why would they think I’d be inclined to stay at their hotel in the future after this experience? I am absolutely appalled at the response I received from this hotel. It took me three times to directly make the reservation in the first place, and it is absurd for the blame of website issues to be placed on the consumer. I am currently fighting this charge and am trying to contact Siteminder (their booking system) to see what my options are.

This is a great small boutique hotel in the old city. We stayed for three nights, which is more than enough to see everything in the old city and getsemani. Breakfast is included in the courtyard every morning, and the service is really above and beyond. I highly recommend!
