I had a great stay in this hotel. The staff are quite friendly and helpful, Leynis helped with Taxis and even with advice about the city, and everyone else from the staff was helpful. Breakfast was nice and tasty too. The location is in the lively Getsemani barrio, but in a quiet street so it was perfect for proximity to the town center and the plaza while being good also for sleeping well at night. If I visit Cartagena again I know where I will be staying.

Good value accommodation in the heart of Getsemani. Very nice staff. The 2 pools were much appreciated after a hot day of exploring the city. Wish the pools were open slightly later in the evening. Loved the location, very central yet quiet. Rooms were pleasant enough, clean with a decent bed and and strong, cold AC.

For a small hotel, it has everything you need. The staff are the best. Andres and Leila were amazing hosts and flexible (allowed is to bookl an extra night at a discount since we needed more time before our flight). The breakfast is good. The grounds are gorgeous, we even had part of a family photo session there! The location is great because it's a quiet street and cafe Beiyu is only steps away and they serve amazing food. It's also very sexure The only thing I would recommend improving is the water pressure in the shower, it was inconsistent and not very strong and the AC could have been a bit stronger, and that the have more than one iron for the entire hotel. Otherwise, I would stay here again!

Andres was the one to welcome us and he is the nicest man you can meet; always there to help, friendly and professional and Leynis took over during the day with the same professionalism. The hotel is super clean, all white and blue; it has 2 pools. Getsemani is the best place to stay in Cartagena with its beautiful small streets and many murals. Casa Mara has the best breakfast with eggs, jam (the only hostal with jam), muesli, yogourt, coffee, tea, hot chocolate

We had a great experience when staying in here. The staff was super helpful and friendly answering all our questions (we had many!). We had booked 2 nights and we ended up staying 6 nights. The location is also perfect since you are at the quiet part of Getsemani. Totally recommended.

Very pretty hotel in the heart of Cartagena

Location was in Getsemaní. Confirming like other reviews that it's located in a quiet area. We checked in early and they had our room available. Air conditioning worked and the room was clean and all white. Bathroom has warm water and clean towels. Pool closes at 6pm. Nice view from the roof top. Warm welcoming staff. Would definately stay again.

It's an amazing place to stay if you travel to Cartagena. Very nice staff. All of them were very friendly. They cleaned the rooms everyday. Simple but delicious breakfast. We even came back for a second stay because we loved it. Felt a little bit like home away from home. Pretty cool and fancy neighborhood! We honestly have nothing to complain about.

Casa Mara its placed on Calle del Espíritu Santo street, which is a great location in Getsemani. This neighborhood has a different and special feel compared to the other two neighborhoods in the center. You will feel you interact more with the local community. Casa Mara It is a very beautiful house and the guest service is very good. The pool is beautiful.

Rooms were clean and staff spoke a bit of English. There was a lot of noise from outside which came into the room. It's close enough to walk to all of the main tourist spots

Casa Mara was one of the worst Hotelary experiences that I've had in a long time and I've travelled very extensively. Please note that they have a policy where no friends or guests of any sort are allowed to be with you or else they charge you approximately double what you originally paid. This makes the "hotel" be no more than an overpriced hostel. In addition, the staff is rude, the hotel never turns on the lights so its dark all night, no phones in the room to call reception and there is a gate thay always locks and is left unattended so several times throughout the day and night I had to wait approximately 5 minutes for someone to come to the door since there was no gate. Hotel price but sub backpacker hostel quality. Id give 0 stars if possible.

Nice, cosy hotel. Located close to all major attractions. Had hot water, which given some other places was a big plus! Friendly staff and a nice decent breakfast. I didn’t go in the pool but it looked nice and breakfast is served around it.

Beautiful hotel, with very friendly staff. It’s located on a quiet street and has 24 hour security. Free yummy breakfast! Only complaint was the small room and bathroom, but you’re not spending a lot of time in the room anyways.

Beautiful hotel with a nice atmosphere and pool. Good safe area with locked front doors and 24 hour reception. Located about 5 minute walk from the walls of the walled city and everything else really. Around the corner is an old church with a square that sort of becomes one big party at night with plenty of bars and restaurants around it. Hotels far enough away that you would never hear it though.

We are on day two of our stay here. The rooms are clean, bright and quite nice. The patio, however, is the star of the show. Also nice is the presence of 24/7 staff at the front desk. Good location in the heart of Getsemaní. Si far, we are enjoying ourselves immensely!
