I really like this hotel. It's an affordable option in the walled city. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Many on the staff are multilingual which helps too. Communication with the front desk is done by WhatsApp. I think that's brilliant. The staff responds to your message immediately. You order your breakfast via WhatsApp as well. Our room was very clean and the bathroom had been updated and was very nice. They also have HOT water. Having been all around the country the last couple weeks and having none, it was very nice. The breakfast is well prepared and tasty. The only "complaint" I have isn't even a complaint. There is no sign on the outside of the building to indicate this hotel's presence. When the cab driver dropped us off I was a little suspicious. However, when you ring the doorbell someone answers right away and you can tell you're in the right spot.

Well located, reasonable prices and right there in the heart of the old city. The staff is really nice and the house has a beautiful colonial look to it. They can keep your bags if you arrive a bit before your check-in too.

Very friendly staff who helped us out with everything we needed when our phones got stolen😬 The breakfast is a very varied full American breakfast buffet, and nice seating next to the pool. Our room had a good view too, with a little balcony overlooking the street. The only downside was the noise at night, taxi’s honking at every hour of the night and people playing the flute non-stop🤷🏼‍♀️ Overall, clean rooms and good service & breakfast 😊

If you are visiting Cartagena this is the hotel I recommend. Location is great, it's very close to the Clock tower and very centric. Pros: Our room was nice and clean. Reception is 24/7 and you pay until you check out. Breakfast was included and it was ok, nothing out of the world. You can book taxi services at the reception. They can also check your bags if you need to leave them at the hotel while you tour the city. At the heart of the Amurallada city so you can walk everywhere. Cons: I would recommend that you bring your own pillows, ours were old and very flatt. They only gave us one roll of toilet paper (you can ask for more in the reception) and the shower water always flooded the bathroom. Beds are small so if you are a tall person you might not fit in them.

Good central location in the city. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast is simple and the area is very small. Small showers but overall it's cozy. Common area is not climate controlled. Overall good value for the location and perfect for staying only a few days. One word of caution is there are a group of criminals trying to mug tourists outside on the street in front of the hotel between 7 and 8 pm so be aware of that and be careful. Fortunately I was able to get away from the guy.

Good hotel, but the area could get very noisy after dark

Nice place and cozy. Close to everything and walkable. I had a suite junior room which was very enjoyable because of the balcony. Hot water in the shower. Breakfast service I decided to take it to the room, it was a small breakfast but, enough to start the day. Just the towels were a little rough for me. I think they need to change the laundry company. Nice place and good service.

If you like hot showers, DONT STAY HERE!!!!! This place looks good in pictures but it’s terrible. I’ve tried for two days to get hot water and apparently they don’t have any whatsoever. Not worth your money for what it’s worth. The breakfast was not that great either. I am a thin person who does not eat that much, and this breakfast could not fill me up.. very small. And housekeeping does not come. And the air conditioning doesn’t work. Stay at Don Pedro De Heredia. Hot water and as much breakfast as you like!

First the good thing,, the staff and front desk person is super sweet and nice.....but the wifi didn't work in my room (top floor). This is a big issue especially for people who have to work during the day...and the power keeps going out randomly during the day.. I stayed in Cartagena before and there wasn't huge issues like this before. The front desk keeps saying the area is having problem with the wifi but, I see other hotels wifi popping up on my phone...And at night loud guests would chatter and talk so loudly in the main foyer area, you can hear everything even from the 4th floor.

Spend the extra$$on you a upstairs city view balcony,, but I highly advise u not to open the doors unless u have mosquito repellent.. But the hotel is magical, the breakfast will not have many options of what you're use to.. But you most definitely will get full...1 night in this hotel and I started to question my life as to why am I'm just getting here.. The staff is so helpful.. especially when I was slow on getting a Covid test. But they arranged it for me..I could ramble on about this hotel.. But it's so close to the ❤️ of the center that you'll easily get lost walking.. But don't worry it's always someone to give directions.. My only regret is I had to leave 😭

The location of this place was convenient, very close to everything pretty much! The personal was amazing, friendly and flexible! The room had a lot of space and was very clean with everything we needed. Next time I come back to Cartagena I’m definitely going to stay here again!!
