The staff was extremely bored and not really Interested to welcome guests.they couldn’t speak any english. Loud music in the bar area until late and in the morning from around 7 am. Loud people chatting in the corridor of the hostel late. In total very loud. The location in getsemani ist perfect. The rooms are quite small but have AC and nice decoration. I found several hairs in the room which I didn’t appreciate. The bed was very comfortable. No hot water and no good water pressure!

For the price we paid it was good. Had AC in the dorm room. Kitchen was nice to cook in and the location was good. Only thing I'd say is I'd question the security a little as it seemed the doors were always open for anyone to just walk in.

A/c doesn’t work. Service is okay. It was a fine stay for the money and location it’s tough to beat. Just know what you’re getting yourself into, don’t expect much.

We stayed in a private room for 2 nights and it was perfect. Super chill hostel, really comfortable rooms. The staff were lovely, especially the guy (didn't get his name). I believe he is the manager/owner.

Pros : Staff was always friendly. Affordable. Very good location. Free breakfast that is pretty good. (c9ffee, eggs, toast and fruit) Nice rooftop terrace (they don't sell anything there yet) Lockers for your valuables Relatively comfortable bed Cons : No natural lighting in the room No soundproofing in the rooms (you can easily hear everything that's going on outside your room and it can get noisy) Bathroom needs an update Overall a fine choice, but some improvements could be made.

The only hostel that charges guests with 4000 for leaving the suitcases some pair of hours after check out. They also charge you 15000 for staying in the hall and making use of the toilet. Unbelievable!! Definitely not recommended. They want to charge you even for the breath you take after check out time.

Very poor experience. Very loud as you can hear everything from the hall or other rooms. Very bright as you can’t stop light getting in from the hall. No plugs worked in the room either. The laundry service stained some of our clothes and management called us liars

STOP PLAYING LOUD MUSIC AT NIGHT!! Empty bar and full volume music at 3 am... Guys, have some respect for other people in the neighborhood :(( not cool

Great place. The people are super friendly. The ac in the dorms is a god send. The breakfast is nice as it changes every day, although a touch simple. Was able to keep my bicycle on the courtyard but it kinda has no protection from the rain.

I stayed here for 8 days and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. It gets cold in the rooms at night but if you can be bothered to ask I'm sure they'd turn the temperature up. Reasonably priced for the great location, local knowledge and free (but not vegan) breakfast. Owned by Melina who is a legitimate phenomenon.

We had a warm welcome, staff was friendly. The private room (incl. private bathroom) was quite clean but humid with a mildew smell. To our disappointment in both nights a group of guests and staff members watched TV in the public area (next to our room) so loud, that it was impossible to sleep until around 1am. Even after asking the staff to turn the tv a bit less loud, it didn’t change. If you‘re looking for a quiet private room skip this hostel!

This is a supernice affordable place to stay when vistiting Cartagena. The people working here are real sweethearts and do everything to make you feel at home from the first second. Me (and many others) extended our stays multiple times :) Very comfy beds, AC, breakfast, free coffe all day, terrace, kitchen for the guests to use, good vibes all day. Everything one can ask for in a very nice spot of the city:)!

The hostal itself was nicely decorated and welcoming although the rooms felt a bit small. Room #3 had lockers placed directly in front of the door so that you couldn't physically open the door without knocking over anyone who was standing near their locker at the time. This is dangerous, and I hit several people by accident when I walked into the room. I did like the separate cubbies for backpacks though. Upon my arrival, James at the reception desk checked me in without any problems. The staff was friendly, and the door is kept locked at all times for safety so there is someone at the reception desk 24 hours a day to let you in. Breakfast was included, but it was mediocre at best: corn flakes, four bites of fruit, and a slice of egg omelette. There was cafe and one flavor of tea but no juice. Pros: great location, friendly staff, 24 hour reception, and nice-sized lockers. Cons: poor placement of lockers, small rooms, only one hammock in common area, and mediocre breakfast.

This hostel definitely has potential with "room to improve", the style is a mix of rustic and boho, which I like and the location is great, max. 5 min from the big action away and yet it is quiet at night in the rooms. The internet was very good and stable, although it is not accessible in the lower, back rooms. When I booked through their website, I had indicated in the comments that "if" it was possible, I would like a lower bed in the dorm. The girl, from check-in, however, then wanted to give me a completely different room, which has even more beds. This could then be clarified, however, and I received a bed in the room booked by me. - Free coffee (although mostly very watery) and tea all day. - The bathroom was not cleaned daily in the dorm and the trash can with the used toilet paper ran over - there is also only one lady to clean, who can't possibly manage to keep the whole place clean - the air conditioner in the 5-bed dorm worked moderately - there was a sitting area on the 1st floor, but not really inviting and extremely warm despite the ceiling fan - a kitchen that can be used communally to prepare very simple dishes, as the equipment is a bit poor, the pots are very old and the coating comes off, which I then also had once in my food - super poisoning!!!! - for me this hostel did not have the intention to welcome guests and travelers or to interact with them a little bit, if you don't wish yourself a "good morning" then nothing comes, not even a "hello" from the manager or even a smile...as if there is a lack of motivation or joy - my mattress was also already worn out - before booking I contacted the hostel via WhatsApp, it was also the correct number, but never came a response >> I am definitely not writing this review to badmouth or rate the place and the staff! It serves only as an incentive to question individual things, the coordination, the process and personal attitude and in the best case to work on it and bring about a change - if you want it then. <<

DO NOT STAY HERE! The laundry service destroyed our clothes with chemical stains. I raised this but was told I was lying and they wouldn't do anything about it. I showed them photos from the day before in some of the clothes with no stains but they didn't care and refused to do anything. About $150.00 destroyed. Besides this the plugs in the room didn't work. The wifi didn't reach our room. Only cold water for showers. No way to keep the light or noise out from the hall so bad sleep all round even though in a private room
