The staff is what makes this hotel. I’ve never been in a place where the staff was so helpful (and I’ve travelled a lot). They are so kind and always attentive to details and your needs. The hotel has the best location, you can walk the whole city centre, but yet have peace and quite when needed and feel safe day and night. The view is beautiful from my balcony to the roof top. Every day breakfast is cooked in house fresh, a lot of choice and plenty to go through the morning. Fresh juices and coffee or tea all day long is just a plus! I have enjoyed (a lot) the roof top terrasse with the jacuzzi and I was able to play my own music through the speaker (no one ever was up there so I made the most of it!) I would recommend this place to any one who wishes to discover Cartagena. If I ever come back to Colombia, I know I will stay here again. Thank you to all of you at Casa Isabel to make my stay to perfect and unforgettable.

Beautiful rooms and fantastic service! The front desk staff is amazing. Really made me feel welcome. About a 10-15 minute walk from the walled city. Several restaurants near the hotel.

The service at this beautiful hotel was the best I have ever experienced - you can tell that the dedicated people who work at Casa Isabel are very proud of the work they do. I thought it was terrific that they warmly greet you every time you return (with delicious, cold juice and towels!), help you to find activities to do, and serve fantastic breakfasts, but then they exceeded that! The Mojitos I had at this hotel were the best I have ever had (not exaggerating, you need to try them), and when they discovered that I would be leaving their hotel the day before my birthday, they surprised me with birthday pancakes! It was so incredibly kind and was such a breath of fresh air. Of course, the rooms are clean, safe and comfortable, and the location cannot be beat, but what I'll remember most is how I felt welcomed and cared for when staying at Casa Isabel. A special shoutout to Julio and Jose who helped to make my stay extra special! I cannot recommend Casa Isabel enough.

The room is super nice. It is centrally located in the old town and is super safe for a woman. The service was excellebt and they were available 24 hours a day.

Great hotel, minutes of walking to main street of food, night fun. Cartagena centre is small, you can easily walk within 15 minutes from north to south so this hotel was perfect location to all attractions but also in a quiet spot, out if this noisy party night street. Great service, very helpful, we loved the refreshing drinks on arrival. Breakfast was amazing, too much food for us because we eat little, but we tried some Colombian traditional breakfast as well. The room was nice, top roof with jacuzzi. Highly recommended this hotel.

A True 5-Star Experience! In the historic Downtown of Cartagena, Casa Isabel outperforms all other hotels. The rooms are luxurious, the amenities are top-notch, and the views of San Felipe Castle are breathtaking. What really touched me was the palpable love for Cartagena and the exemplary service that shines in every detail. I didn't just visit Cartagena; I felt part of its vibrant culture. If you want to feel a sense of community and the culture of Cartagena, Casa Isabel is your hotel.

I've never seen such friendly staff as in this hotel. They want to help you with everything. They give you fresh juice when you walk in. Even a cool towel to cool down after being outside in the hot and humid Cartagena. I would recommend this experience to everyone!

We had the best experience here in Cartagena thanks to the lovely staff of Casa Isabel! The hotel is very beautiful and we could walk to the colorful and vibrant streets nearby. With the help of the staff we got personal recommendations of restaurants and beaches . Definitely recommend a stay here if you are visiting Cartagena!

The service was top notch! The run was super cool and felt like you were actually a part of the city which all the action of town is a short walk behind the hotel. Breakfast was delightful as well as fresh juice apon request is what makes this place stand out. 10 out of 10.

Great stay at Hotel Boutique Casa Isabel! The staff are lovely and so friendly, they provide fresh juice all the time and the breakfast is really nice here. It’s ideally located in the Getsemani district and it’s close to the city’s most attractions. The rooms are nice and the interior is really cool here! Kathi, Julio and Andreas were so kind like the rest of the staff. Would highly recommend to stay here!

1000% recommended! We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Cartagena and it was the best place we could have stayed at. The owners/managers/staff are SO nice and the customer service is just top notch. You get a fresh towel and a fresh juice every time you arrive at the hotel throughout your stay - which is so nice because Cartagena is pretty warm. The owners have a really cool story on how they started the place and they really make an effort in making the hotel a nice stay for all of their guests. Truly a masterclass for other hotels on not being greedy and focusing on customer service: from the amazing breakfast to the small details like the fresh towels and juices mentioned above. This is a family-run hotel with people feeling passionate about it and just wanting to provide a nice experience for their guests. On top of everything they have a nice rooftop with a great view that overlooks the castle. You will want to come back for sure! (My lame photos of the terrace while having breakfast do not do justice to it.)

Some rooms a little cramped and some lack external windows. Rooftop is ideal spot to watch the bird life and the sunset over the Spanish Fort.

Nice place, close to everything- Staff speaks English and is very helpful. Lovely breakfast and nice rooftop. Rooms towards street are bit noisy due to Traffic.

My family (5 of us) went to this hidden gem in December. They have an outstanding service and happy to help regardless your request! The fresh juices and cocktails in the jacuzzi can be beaten together with the beautiful view to the castle! They have a very diverse menu and the food is great. The rooms are unique and charming, spacious and with all the necessary facilities on site! Very close to where everything happens great location!

This is an amazing little hotel at a very reasonable price. Our room and bathroom were both spotless. The AC worked well, the bed was comfy and neat, and there was a smart TV. Breakfast, which is included, is tasty and varied, and the staff are helpful and nice. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was fabulous. The rooms were clean and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The location is great in Getsemani and my room had a view of the lake and San Felipe castle. I injured my knee and the overnight staff helped me get to the hospital when the doctors thought my knee was broken. The overnight person at times lifted me over difficult areas just to make sure I wasn’t hurt. In the morning, he arranged for the morning staff to make sure I was able to have breakfast in the room and they even went to the pharmacy to get the medication that the hospital prescribed for me. Many hotels I’ve been to would not have been so helpful. Because the staff was so kind, I was able to continue on to Bogota without much trouble. 10/5!

The staff, especially our man Luis, were all amazing. The hotel is visibly small so we knew what we were booking, it was exactly as pictured and what we wanted. Our room and the rest of the building was very cozy, felt very homely and very pleasant to look at and be in. The tiling and colours used everywhere within this building add a really nice touch. The food was yummy, very fresh and the facilities were all clean and very well cared for. We will be back here on our next trip to Cartagena and have been recommending this place to our family and friends.Thank you Luis and Casa Isabel for a wonderful holiday!

The hotel is small and quaint but has all the amenities we could want. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is incredibly attentive and are always looking out for you. Breakfast is really good and the different fresh juices they have every day are my favorite. The receptionists (the 3 we have met) were all able to speak English really well and helped us a lot. All in all we had a really great experience there.

I loved the amazing hospitality! Very attentive, always available, very caring and made you feel important and welcomed! VIP treatment! Check in was awesome! Greeted with a cold towel to cool off and served fresh juice for a refreshing comfort. Luggage was taken up to room. Included breakfast service from a menu on the lakeview terrace with views of the castle were a nice touch. Fresh juices were available and I was always greeted with one every time I returned to the hotel. As well as coffee and tea were available. Adriana, Ivan, Javier and Jaime exceeded well above and beyond, to make my stay wonderfully pleasurable, enjoyable and comfortable. Truly the best hospitality! I am looking forward to my return to Hotel Botique Casa Isabel! "Mi casa es su casa!" Literally sums it all up. Great location, easy walking to old city and main attractions. Not so much love here. We had to cancel with over a month’s notice due to a healthy diagnosis. No refund.. it’s the only place we had booked that was not extremely helpful about the situation. We had booked accommodation in Costa Rica Colombia and Peru. All other places were amazing about it. Plan to re schedule our trip ASAP.

The entire staff deserves 5 stars for their hospitality/kindness. Our room/bathroom was really small (half of the bathroom is in the room) and on the 1st floor so that you could hear everything from the reception. The breakfast is good.

After staying in less expensive lodgings the whole trip, this place was a breath of fresh air. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the amenities were on point. I especially appreciated the fresh juice that was available, and the breakfast that was included with the stay was amazing. Highly recommend.

Such lovely staff and incredible hospitality. It was 5 star service. The rooms are uniquely decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, so much food and variety! It was also lovely to spend the evenings up on the roof terrace.
